Connie and Ted's
Enjoy one (or two) of 24 California craft beers on tap, while sampling from our large variety of oysters, clams and shellfish, shucked to order, at our Raw Bar. Wind down the day with a classic cocktail at the bar, or enjoy a warm lobster roll outside on the covered, open-air patio overlooking Santa Monica Boulevard.
What Insiders Are Saying
Take Connie and Ted’s for what it is and you will love it: a fun, casual place to grab a cold beer and some oysters with friends. Just don't listen to the hype and expect much more.
The closest thing to an east coast fish house in L.A. Non-pretentious and casual. Want Ipswich clams, here they are. Active and noisy. Valet parking.
We have visited Connie & Ted's many times now since it opened in West Hollywood. It has become one of our favorites because it has been consistently excellent in all respects. We usually order one of the grilled fish options but on this latest occasion I tried the Portuguese fish stew for the first time. Fantastic! Spicy (but not overly), filled with good ingredients, and a sizable portion. What more would one want? I also tried a new dessert on the menu, cherry pie. Now I have two new favorites on the menu.
Came in for DineLA for dinner and the fixed menu was amazing. I have been here many times, but was happy with the food and price.
The best clam chowder around! My friend and I loved our Dine LA lunch experience. Some restaurants seem to just “participate”, but Connie and Ted’s makes the event special on all levels. It took me about an hour to get over to the west side from where I live in the San Gabriel Valley ( it was raining), but the drive was well worth the deliciousness served up to my friend and I that day! We love Connie and Ted’s...
Food was just ok. My salmon was tasteless, and the other diners were underwhelmed.
No flavor in wine sauce for mussels clams. Everything else was pretty good .
Good and service is always great. Sometimes it gets way too noisy especially inside.
I always leave happy.
Friends get together during “dine LA”. A disaster from the start.
The valet (at 630) said there was no room for the car and we should drive around and find a meter
The hostess was welcoming and gracious - a highlight of the meal
The clam chowda (New England) thin and watery
Calamari grilled - very good
Portuguese stew more broth than substance and disappointing.
Fish of the night - steelhead - tasteless and someone should advise our waiter that just because it’s meat is slightly pink it definitely does not taster more like salmon than trout.
Desserts too sweet and nothing worth more than a taste
Exceptional service as always. I had a craving for clam chowder and steamed clams and both weren’t what i was looking for. However the lobster roll and Ed’s stew where delicious. I will definitely come back for the daily specials. Also great beer and oyster selection.
Birthday dinner. We misremembered our reservation time and were 20 minutes late. Although our table had been given away, we were politely offered the next available table and seated very soon thereafter. The food was excellent and the service was friendly. Thank you!
Really good value from the DineLA menu, with 6 oysters, grilled fish, dessert all for $39, when normally six oysters are $20 alone. Food was excellent, fish always fresh and accompaniments perfect. Mignonette and horseradish with fresh oysters are my favorite. The spinach and bacon was a nice filler to the lightly grilled pollack. The blondie sundae was fantastic. Cocktails are all great too.
Always a good time and good food here.
This was our second visit to this famous West Hollywood restaurant. Last time it was dinner and the restaurant was extremely crowded and extremely noisy. The food was great but it was impossible to have a conversation. This time it was for lunch. We went early, the place was pretty empty (it got busier when we were leaving) and in addition the the good food and attentive service, we were able to have a decent conversation. But the wait staff needs to be instructed not to pick up the plates until all those dining have finished their meal. Although the place was not busy, the whisking away of plates before several people had finished made it seem like the staff was rushing to get us to move along. Even in a full restaurant with patrons waiting, this is not good form. In a near-empty restaurant, it is simply rudeness.
The best seafood East of New England !!!
Always satisfying. Consistently great menu and service. We enjoy special occasions here.
It was amazing! A great start to a great night!
WHAT CAN I SAY BUT THE FOOD....I LIKE THE FRIED CLAMS AND FRENCH FRIES, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE I'VE TRIED HAS BEEN TOP NOTCH
Fun place great energy but also very noisy
The three drunk guests at the next table were so loud it was annoying but since they knew the manager it was ignored
More importantly the food: everything was very very salty all three entrees, are they trying to get us to drink more or the chef just had a very very hand that night
Also the service was horrible waited nearly 40 minutes for an appetizer and though the manager and waitress apologized several times it didn’t help the food to get there quicker
Disappointing all around
Limited menu, over priced for what you get. Service outstanding. Calamari, boring..pasta way undercooked. Skimpy portions..I mean come on , clam and mussel pasta with 4 mussels, and 6 tiny clams. Much ado about nothing.
We had a 7:00 PM reservation, arrived a bit early and were seated right away. Service was excellent! Enjoyed an app. of calamari then had the best Manhattan clam chowder I have ever had! Also the fried clams were fresh and delicious. Great ice cold martinis too! only one problem......No room for desert!
The people are really nice and accommodating! The food tastes wonderful and is very fresh. The only problem is that it’s really overpriced for the portion sizes!
Although we made New Year's Eve reservations a week or so early were seated immediately adjacent to Bar (we were also given the choice of Patio) on a very cold night. The first booth in the Bar was subject to a cold draft / gust of wind every time the front door was opened. We did not raise an issue so we did not give the restaurant, which we adore, a chance to make things better. This is the third or fourth time we have done early 6PM New Year's there would have appreciated a better seat in the main dining area! However service was good, food excellent, and reasonably priced good Bubbly for such a special night.
Lianne- our waitress was warm & engaging and has a wonderful sense of humor even though she had to work on New Year’s Eve!
Entire staff was happy-go-lucky!
Great place. Great service.
I took my boyfriend here for the first time and we loved it, ordered a bottle of rose and split oysters, fried calamari, and the boiled dinner. It was amazing and the service was exceptional.
One of the orders (fish) came cold and raw in the center! Asked three times for bread to go with the soup! Just inattentive and average food at best.
Very disappointed in the New England Clam Chowder.
The Hake was delicious.
The venue is very appealing .
Special sold out at 7:00, tried to order a desert and it was sold out. Poor waiter had to keep telling us you didn’t have what was on the menu. We go here a lot and have never had this kind of experience
My fish was so tough I couldn't cut it with a knife. A black piece of white fish. The server apologized, but responded by saying, "I only work here." What???? No kitchen apologies, no credit, just returned with a better piece of fish after reheating my stale french fries. Also, the clam chowder was chewy and watery. A $1 can of Campbell's soup tastes better. At these way-to-high prices for bland seafood, you would think it would be better. What a waste of $100 between 2 people. Will never return or recommend this pretentious excuse for a seafood restaurant. We actually picked up a fast-food hamburger after dinner to satisfy our hunger. HORRIBLE!!!!!
We had a very fun night here. Our waiter was patient with our teens and brought me a few white wines to try when I was having trouble deciding. The service was impeccable. Needs anticipated before we realized that we had them.
Delicious lobster rolls.
Best seafood in LA!
The lobster was perfectly cooked, friendly service, delicious.
Food was fantastic.
We go to Connie and Ted’s every year for Christmas Eve. The staff is great. The atmosphere is lively so it feels quite festive. Great to start with oysters and Champagne. There are options for non-fish diners. The desserts are incredible.
A perfect location with fine food and good service. Enjoy
Food and service for our lunch was excellent.
Enjoyed the food and drinks at Connie and Teds but definitley has limited options for vegatarians, however, it is a seafood restaurant. The drinks were really good, but personally a bit over priced for the value.
Excellent food and welcoming wait staff. Will definitely go again!
Outstanding food and service as always
