Very lovely ambience....seated in a booth, private but still a part of the conviviality. Welcoming and elegant....will definitely return!
From the moment we walked in Del Mare is warm inviting and the perfect place to escape to have a quiet dinner. The service and the food is truly impeccable. Everyone is very attentive and is always willing to help out if you need anything. One of the owners was there also and she was making herself available to every table to see how people we doing. That’s definitely someone who cares about the whole experience. We will definitely be back again very soon. Thanks so much Del Mare
Very beautiful restaurant with excellent food. We all enjoyed our experience at DalMare.
Lobster cod.. yum. Scallops risotto.. yum. Charcuterie.. yum. Burger and mink fish tempura.. mediocre. Service super unattentive... I would go back. But step up the speed of the service please.
Amazing experience with amazing food! Great hidden gem in Beverly farms!
Superb lamb chops and french fries...
solid cocktails; Staff is very friendly and really wants to please the customer.
Great menu, lots of things I'll have to go back and try. The duck breast was easily a top 5 for me.
Decent food - solidly made with no surprises. Very nice atmosphere
Lovely local place, elegant casual, good food, great service, great drinks nice ambiance. Although tables close together not as noisy as other places, I have been. Very intimate feel.
Cozy and elegant environment. Great service and menu!
Food was great. Very impressive decor and front of the house. Service a little slow at times but it was very busy.
very nice place, would we go back? sure, will we be rushing back? not really. some items were under seasoned and serving sizes were less than generous on a few items. very fresh and impeccably prepared. but we have similar places close to home that are as good if not better.
Nice try at being the go-to neighborhood place offering well-prepared food in a safe and cozy atmosphere. The food was average to good, but the real problem was with the service. A Saturday night, prime time, yet woefuly understaffed and imcompetent in the extreme. 40 minutes at our table before receiving water, and another 20 minutes before drinks arrived. The desired appetizer , duck spring rolls, and the desired main course, braised short ribs, not available, and this at 6:30 on a Saturday night. The waiter was flummoxed from the start, unable to do the most rudimentary of things for our table, pulled as he seemed to be among tables here and there. As for the food...the lamb chops were ruined in a sickenly sweet balsamic sauce. The cornish hen special was good, though submerged in a plate of greasy risotto and gravy. My girlfriend's snapper wth crab special came, unannounced, in a tomato-based sauce, a concept unfortunately not to her liking. My bolognese was average at best. The owner graciously gave us desserts, and very much wanted to make things right, but unfortunately we will not be returning. There really is no excuse to sit at a table In a small restaurant for nearly an hour without so much as water or bread. The fault lies less with the staff than with the management.
My favorite restaurant on Cape Ann. They always do a great job, with everyday-to-date night ambiance.
We weren’t really greeted by the hostess so much as her reacting somewhat confused by us and our reservation. She found our reservation yet still seemed baffled by it for some weird reason as she passed us to another hostess to seat us. Kind of a strange interaction with this girl. Thankfully the second hostess was much more personable and pleasant. Our server came to our table after about 10-15 mins and was very nice. He took our drink order which was pretty simple, a bottle of wine which took another 15 mins to reach us. He kinda plopped a thing of bread on the table and then remembered the dipping oil after a bit.. it was busy Saturday evening and it didn’t seem like they had enough servers going so I can’t blame our server, he was going straight out. We split a arugula salad with sliced green apple and a nice lite vinaigrette and it was very good. Our entrees arrived and my wife had the Bolognese which at first was good but then after a few fork fulls became overwhelming with salt, way to much salt so she couldn’t eat the rest. I had the grilled salmon with a walnut glaze and pieces of roasted sweet potato and it was very good. Cooked perfectly medium rare. The table next to us a table of 4 tried ordering but everything they asked for they were out of so they were none to impressed. We paid our bill and thanked our server for working so hard and left him a very nice tip as he certainly earned it covering half the restaurant on his own. Not sure if we’d go back but I think I might give them another shot, nothings perfect all the time, things happen.
As always, the venue is lovely and the service is friendly. The table where we happened to sit on Thursday evening happened to be squeezed between two others, and behind a larger table which had a party which had people whose voices carried, so it was difficult to hear and difficult NOT to hear all the other conversations around us. May I suggest, at least on a weekday night, that diners be given tables with a little more privacy between them?
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. We will go back again.
What a pleasant surprise!!!! Very nice place, excellent service and mostly very good food. We will go back
Fantastic night in quiet downtown Beverly Farms. Limited menu due to the power outage, however the GM personally reached out to us to ensure that was ok which was a great touch. Everything we ordered was flawless and our waiter for the evening was the single best we've had in town. A+
A pleasant experience with a friend. Friendly and accommodating service and delicious dinner.
First time visitor and we will be back, great from start to finish.
Loved our first dining experience at Dal Mare. It was a delicious 'farm to table' dining experience. Oysters tasted super fresh. Lollipop lamb chops were perfectly cooked. As a general rule when dining out, I eat 'half' and take the rest home, but the salmon special was so mouth-watering delicious, I ate every bite. Loved the local 'hen of the woods' in the wild mushroom side dish. Felt very welcomed, catered-to, and unhurried. Looking forward to next time!
Surpsingly quiet for a Saturday night. Really good Steak and Osso Buco special. Good drinks and wine by the glass. Will go back
We just loved our first experience at Dal Mare since its renovation last year. The warm and tasteful decor was extremely well done. Each one of the 4 staff we interacted with were very attentive, but almost unnoticed at the same time. The food was excellent and the complimentary champagne offering for our anniversary was totally unexpected and beyond the call. We will be back soon!
OK food with variable results - some dishes were very good, most were OK. The service was well intentioned - but seemed a bit over-attentive or under-attentive at just the wrong times...
Had an amazing experience. Our waiter Kyle was top notch. It was my wife’s birthday and they made her feel so special. Food was perfect. All around great place for a meal or just a drink. Nice quiet atmosphere.
beautiful room, great service, nice people, GREAT food and variety of food, from appetizers to entrees.
We were pleasantly surprised by Dal Mare. We had been to it's previous incarnation as Cygnet and it has been much improved. It has lost it's "ovenstuffed" look - it feels much lighter and more elegant. The food was very good as was the wine list. My only reservation is that you don't get much with what you order - the pork chop, for instance, was just a pork chop. You need to order extra sides if you want more.
