Just a very consistent experience every time we go. For us regulars, treat you like family. Food and ambience best in Dallas. Bar & patio area amazing! The entire Harwood experience no matter which restaurant always great! You just don’t get that in most places.
Such a fabulous brunch or dinner spot!! Love it here!!
Favorite Italian Quality Spot in Dallas!!!
Always a delight, service and ambiance superb. They are in process of revamping wine list, I hope they return to their roots and again focus on Italian wines.
We've never been disappointed with the food and just can't pass on the eggplant appetizer, so much we always select and take some home.
Pasta cooked too al dente, overall food was too salty. Good service and ambience, bad food.
Too loud and too expensive for what you received.
My fav place to take clients
Pasta badly over sauced, it was more like tomato noodle soup! Website menu wrong so couldn’t order what we came for. Salad & drink were good.
Wonderful service and exquisite meals. Both Eddy’s gave an exceptional service!
Delicious, great service, loved it
Excellent atmosphere. Wild boar and pasta is to die-for. Great wine. Excellent service, although the bus-service needs to be a bit more cognizant to the decorum at the table. In other words, be careful not to interrupt the conversation at the table. Be there, but not there.
I came here with my friend for her birthday. The service was absolutely perfect. Lots of help with the menus and all the food was delicious. Very cute place. Recommend sitting outside if the weather’s nice.
Wonderful staff , beautiful atmosphere, delicious food !
One of the best Italian spots in Dallas. Brought a group and everyone enjoyed. Would also be great for a date.
Excellent food, very well prepared and served. Portions are good - no waste and no over eating. A lovely restaurant with several different seating areas. A very pleasant atmosphere. I marked down the ambience by one star because these is a side door to the outside, used by staff frequently. The closing mechanism is quite slow, meaning that we got a blast of cold air each time.
An amazing place and environment. A place to visit once at moment at least
Great experience and delicious food!
The reviews for this restaurant were impressive, so I went in with pretty high expectations. But I was so disappointed by my experience! We were on time for our reservation, but asked to wait for about 20 min until our table was ready. It was pretty busy, so I get it. We were taken to a table, and seated next to a door that kept opening to the outside. It was 40 degrees and the wind kept blowing in—it was way too cold! We asked a server for another table, but it was too busy so they couldn’t find us one. They brought us a heat lamp instead, which did mostly fix the problem. Then we waited about 30 minutes for a server to bring us menus. The whole night there were 2 different waiters who couldn’t seem to figure out whose table we were, as they both kept stopping by surprised at how we had drinks/food/dessert when they hadn’t taken our order. The wine list was really impressive but WAY overpriced. We ended up getting 2 glasses of wine (most come by the bottle) and they were honestly not even that good, but $15/glass! I’m happy to pay more for good quality wine, but that was disappointing. The food was pretty good, but it was overall not an enjoyable night and I will not be returning.
Just an Excellent evening with a great bottle of wine and fabulous food and great attentive service. See you soon
Good, not great. Food was good; waiter was brusque and acted like he wanted us to drink, eat and get out.
Probably won’t go back on a busy weekend.
The food couldn’t have been better , portions were a little
Small in relevance to the price , but it wasn’t egregious. Unfortunately our waitress was awful, we had to request each refill, we never were brought bread despite asking 2x and seeing her take it to the surrounding tables. We were patient with her given that it was busy but she was very attentive to surrounding tables and I had to finally speak up and be a little more assertive with her about us being neglected. I know we weren’t rude to her. We never saw her long enough to rude. I would/will definitely go back to this place but if she comes to my table as my server I will request a different section. The ambiance is great, valet gets you in and out , and again the food was amazing.
Amazing service and food!!
Outstanding food service and friendliness
We enjoyed our first meal at Dolce Riviera but there were a few things I would recommend first time diners try to avoid. Our table was for 2 people and it barley fit our dinners + drink glasses so ask for a 4 top if available. Our table was also along a busy pathway and due to the table size they had to use a small table extender (to hold our wine bottle etc..) so we were always worried it would get knocked over. The hostesses tend to stand around and chat which was not loud but distracting and was likely amplified because of our table location along the pathway. The food was great but the bone-in-veal did not come with anything to balance the *large* lightly breaded serving. Overall I still recommend this restaurant because the service was impeccable, our wine was excellent, and we enjoyed our food!
Went with a group of girls on Valentine’s Day- we were the only table that didn’t have a male at it. Took 45 minutes for us to get menus, after asking for menus 3 times. After ordering appetizers, they brought one and brought the second 30 minutes later after we asked twice for them to check on it and they told us it was brought out and we were “incorrect” that it hadn’t come... definitely had much poorer service compared to the couples who sat down after us and got their food much quicker than we did. Wouldn’t return unless I was on a date as it was ridiculous how bad the service was. Finally had a second waiter come up and ask how our meal was and took care of us in a much better manner than our original waitress, and we requested that he get our tips over our assigned waitress because she only sat us at our table and brought the menus 45 minutes after we sat down.
The atmosphere is fantastic! They have a patio roof that they can open and close for weather. It was so nice to sit on an elegant patio with the space heaters. The food was great, but the portions are a bit small for the price.
Our service was good until the end. Almost 30 minutes went by from the time our plates were cleared to when we left the table. Bringing the dessert menu and check feels like it took too long.
The waiter gave us great recommendations. The food was fantastic!!
Enjoyed restaurant and how we were able to order a variety of items for everyone to enjoy. Would have appreciated the Oporto take the unserved (extra) home - was able to get some but not all of it by the time they were clearing table. Great service and food.
I love this place b/c they never let the bread tray go empty
I’ve only been a few times but this experience was awful. The service was terrible and they forgot about us multiple times. When the food came and it was not prepared as the menu indicated, I asked the waitress about it and she argued with me that it was prepared as described (it was not). The food is good, but not sure I’ll be running back based on the service.
Amazing food and ambiance!!!
Great Italian food and approved by two Italian New Yorkers. Took a vendor her for dinner and the food, drinks and service were exceptional!
They brought out a dessert with sparklers!
I would warn friends that it is expensive. I know some restaurants are just "more costly" than others, but to charge $7 for a glass of Pellegrino? Most restaurants charge about that much for a glass of good wine. The Tiramisu dessert was tasty ... it just wasn't Tiramisu. It came in the shallowest of martini glasses so it was only a scant amount, but the main problem was that it had no flavor of espresso mixed with (especially important) Marsala wine. So it was sweet and creamy and nice, but without that special flavor of Marsala, it's not authentic Tiramisu. The Risotto was tasty, with mushrooms and Asiago cheese, but I've never seen a plate of just risotto fetch $38 to $42 in Dallas.
We’ve been to Dolce Riviera a number of times in the past and always loved the food and the service. We’ve recommended it to friends as well. But, this time was different. The food was good, but nothing special. I had the Paccheri All’Astice (lobster rigatoni) and my husband had the Linguine Alla Pescatore (linguine with shrimp, clams and calamari). They were fine, but the flavors weren’t unique or special. More along the lines of just a very basic tomato sauce. My pasta originally came out not cooked enough, but our waiter (who was very good) took it back and had it remade. The pasta was appropriately cooked the second time. We were disappointed because this had been my husband’s favorite Italian place in Dallas.
Cold night and cold restaurant. Brrr! Our waiter seemed nervous. He dropped my wine on the floor and my husbands drink slipped out of waiters hand a different time. Food portion for antipasti was good. Burrata was excellent with the tomatoes. Husband Bolognese portion was SMALL. My lasagna was warm and tasty! We probably won’t go back.
We went to Dolce Riviera to celebrate our anniversary, we had the best experience ever. The waiter realized that it was our anniversary and they brought us a couple glasses of champagne. Waiter Julio was amazing and was so attentive, and always came by to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything. I loved the restaurant and will be a return guest.
What a lovely restaurant to take my friend to celebrate her bday! Food was off the charts amazing and waiters were super attentive and friendly. Definitely be back!!
Food, Service, and Ambiance were great. Sit out on the patio if the weather permits. It's a bit pricey for an Italian restaurant. I have taken several Italians there while they were visiting the US. Feedback is that the food is authentic. The last guest I took was from the same town as the head chef.
