Drift Fish House & Oyster Bar
Consistently very good food and professional pleasant servers. Some unusually long delay in food prep/delivery last night but handled appropriately by management.
Always an excellent experience
First time for brunch. Did not disappoint@
I took my friend for his birthday to brunch today at 11:30am. I made a reservation through open table. I was called twice by the staff to confirm the reservation for a booth by a window and when we get there they tried to sit us at a table in the middle of the dining room. Host staff don't seem to pay attention to reservation requests. Your restaurant has a great atmosphere and your server was amazing, she was really good. Unfortunately, the chicken and waffles were horrible. It is very embarrassing to send food back, especially when you take someone to a restaurant that you recommend for their birthday so I didn't send it back nor told the server anything. Unfortunately, the chicken was extremely greasy making the waffle practically swim in the grease. I wish you would dry the chicken grease off before placing it on the waffle. The worse part is that it was a little undercooked and I ended up having to go to the bathroom just 20 minutes after eating some of it. I'm glad I left most of it and didn't eat it or it would have been worse on my stomach. I really like your restaurant and the food because we have eaten dinner here before, but were very disappointed with the brunch. We don't mind paying a higher price for food at a good restaurant, but when it's going to be pricey then we expect it to be of better quality. I hate having to write about a bad experience as opposed to a good one, however, it was so bad that I really needed to let this be known in hopes that the quality of the food, especially the chicken can be improved. It is the worst $76 I've ever spent. We won't be back anymore.
Our server was fantastic and every dish we had was delicious. It is definitely on the pricier side, so not someplace we could go very often, but perfect for a special occasion.
Food wasn’t up to par appetizers where better than entrees!
Crab dip was ok, Cioppino was lukewarm, lacking seafood and was topped with 2 huge pieces of burnt and flavorless focaccia. We also ordered She Crab soup and a mahi special. She crab was bland and mahi was anything but special. I'd high hopes after several glowing recommendations, but left dinner underwhelmed and hungry.
We love Drift! We have been here several times and it never disappoints!!
We celebrated a birthday and they gave us a huge Complementary piece of Keylime pie with a candle and raspberries. The food is delicious and the portions are plentiful. You may spend a little more but the ambience and service is worth it.
Not our first time at Drift House. Always great food and tonight was no different in that respect. However, the service was fair at best, and the pricing for Valentines Day was astronomical! Any other night at Drift House we could have had the exact same meal at half the price! Our first and last Valentines Day meal at Drift House. The are other nice restaurants that don’t make you Asher to a pre-fix menu and the charge you double for it. We will be returning to those for sure. Too bad really, sour a good repeat customer for one night of additional profits, it is really short sites on their part.
Went valentines night and food and service were great. Our waitress Grace was outstanding
Great menu choices for Valentines Day. Everything delicious. Great atmosphere for a special day.
Caleb was a great server and made our Valentine meal memorable. This is our second year celebrating Valentine's Day at Drift. I had the Waygu Beef Tartare and my wife had the grilled octopus as apps and both were great. I had the Ramen with the smoked trout and pork belly and my wife had the Swordfish. Both entrees were really tasty. Dessert was the Mexican chocolate and the red velvet molten lava cake - awesome. The amuse bouche of the reuben style salmon was tasty as well.
Excellent Mahi Mahi!! Get the hush puppies they are great!
The drinks, appetizers and food were all great. The staff there was very knowledgeable and attentive. We will definitely return to try more of the menu!
Great food, service and ambiance. The server was excellent and was very helpful with wine recommendations. The only drawback was that it was a pretty loud environment.
I've enjoyed the restaurant for business dinners, and decided to take a small group on a Saturday. The Bartenders are awesome and mix fine cocktails, the food is always delicious and served promptly. Everything is ala cart - so a 4to 5 oz serving of grouper on a sushi rice bed is a $50 entrée with a salad or side....pretty pricey for the location and ambiance.
Great food, but certainly not value oriented...fine dining prices, not fine dining ambiance.
My brother was in town for the night and we wanted a good meal at a restaurant nearby that had a good bar program. Drift fit the bill. Started with clam chowder and the roasted beet salad. Very good. We each had the fish special, redfish with roasted vegetables and potatoes. Delicious! Topped off our meal by sharing the key lime pie. Service was excellent and overall an enjoyable experience. Will definitely visit again.
Overall, the restaurant was OK. The quality food was good, I just expected a lot more - with respect to the amount - for the cost of the dishes.
Our third great meal at Drift. Definitely on our go to list!!!
The bartenders are the stars at this restaurant. These ladies hustle and make fabulous, unique drinks. The food here is great too, but the drinks are what draw me here regularly. I really like to sit at the bar and watch the great libation creating!
Caleb was our server, he was perfectly gracious and attentive I always enjoy the food and staff at Drift it’s consistently good.
Everything was good. My only issue was our Waiter. Generally, he was good but not our usual great like the service and conversation with Paul and others.
Another fine meal and great service at Drift
My wife and I love this restaurant but our last visit was less than satisfactory due to one of the meals. I usually order baked/grilled seafood but I decided to try the "flash fried" seafood platter, which turned out to be a mistake. The clam chowder was delicious but the fries were horrible (way over cooked and greasy) and the "flash fried" seafood was more than flash fried and not worth the money. As soon as I complained about the fries, we were offered a dessert, a nice gesture and also delicious.
My recommended: avoid the fried offerings, especially the fries.
We're beginning to feel like family when we dine at Drift. Their manager always stops by our table and chats with us. They also know our favorite server is K.C. and she's always greeting us with a great big smile and menu suggestions.
We took our tween son out to dinner to try out his manners in a quaint setting. Upon getting in the car to leave, he asked when we can go back to Drift and enjoy dinner!
Mid week dinner - the food was outstanding. One of our parties had the special and it was excellent and the rest of us ordered from the menu.
Delightful dining experience! The Grouper and Mahi were both spectacular! Our server, Grace, was professional and very sweet! Will definitely be returning to Drift soon!
Caleb was an outstanding waiter. He knew the menu very well and was able to answer all questions. The food was excellent.
The cinnamon rolls are AMAZING! Our server Greg was great as usual. All of the food was delicious.
Found my favorite brunch item ... BRIOCHE FRENCH TOAST fresh berries, powdered sugar, whipped mascarpone and bacon ... FABULOUS!!
always a great experience. This was for my Mother's 83rd Birthday. Her first time there. Said it was the best shrimp she has ever had.
A great bar scene and a wonderful dining experience.
As always, we had a great time. The food and drinks were delicious. My only complaint is about the holiday promotion. The envelope stated it had to be opened by January 31 but did not clarify that any coupon it contained would also have to be used by January 31. Granted, the lunch entree coupon wouldn’t have been my first choice, but I was grateful for it nevertheless - until I realized that it, too, expires on January 31.
I wish that had been much more clearly stated on the envelope, so that we could have planned accordingly.
This is our go to restaurant! Always a great time!
Very nice dinner with excellent apps and salads as well as the fish for dinner
Great food and service! Cameron and crew did a great job. Will be back.
Our reservation was at 845. We got there at 830 and did not get seated until 920. It seems as if they over book reservations here. It would have made a difference if a manager came over to offer a few drinks for us while we waited or if we got an appetizer on the house.. neither of which happened. The hostess told us to go to the bar for a drink, but the bar was PACKED. There was no way our group would have gotten drinks before being seated during that time. Very disappointing. We almost left and went to Seed. Otherwise, the food was excellent.
Casey our waitress was awesome. She recommended a great bottle of wine & wonderful desserts.
Food is always delectable! Each bite hits all of the tastebuds!
