   Jan provided an extremely elegant experience. Our family travelled a great distance to meet up with our Son and his wife toCelebrate his successful completion of the Blue nose half marathon. The ambiance, presentation, and quality of the service from Jan along with the food quality made it a memorable evening for this father with his family. Thank you so much !

   We had a reservation for 4 people for Sunday brunch. We arrived promptly for our reservation and were seated quickly, and ordered within a few minutes. We were served coffee and orange juice quickly, but then time started to drag on as I watched other tables which had arrived after us receive their food orders. At the 45 minute mark, I caught our server's attention and motioned that we needed our order, as our day was scheduled with other activities. The server motioned to me that they understood, then went on to serve orders to three other tables. Another 10 minutes later our food arrived, most of it cold. Soft poached eggs were inedible, as was the cold toast and casserole home fries. A small pot of baked beans (which we were warned was very hot) was cold, and it was like eating them out of can. My friends and I had been treating ourselves to very expensive weekend in Halifax, which included being guests at the Muir Hotel, directly above Drift. Our brunch at Drift was an extremely disappointing meal, and I doubt we will be back.

   This is the best fine dining experience I’ve ever had. We went for Mother’s Day and my wife was really happy with her Bavette steak, and I love my pork belly & scallop dish. Well played with expertly crafted taste pairings. Can’t wait to go back!

   The evening was excellent! From the welcome greeting at the door- Outstanding food and service. The food was delicious , service was impeccable- Our server Nathan was very knowledgable of the menu and friendly but not overly. He made the evening special.. Next time in Halifax, we will be sure to come back and enjoy this restaurant again. Everything was everything was outstanding!!

   This restaurant exceeded all expectations. For reference, we ordered the following to share (2 people): Muscle frites, shrimp and corn chowder soup, scallops and pork belly, and the lawry jiggs dinner. Each dish was a 10/10. Every dish had amazing flavour, and was beautifully presented. The kitchen even gifted us a free appetizer which was lovely! The rhubarb cocktail I ordered was so tasty. I would go back for that alone. The ambience was nice and it was not too loud. I would highly recommend coming here.

    Our server Nathan was fantastic as always. The Drift servers are all highly trained and really care about your experience. Further the food is ALWAYS stellar. I have been going to Drift for years and the food quality is superior.
