   Loved how the hostess knew my preference for a booth and sat me at a lovely private booth at the back of the restaurant. Great service, food and surroundings.

   Overall I like Earls. But I ordered the steak & waygu beef sushi. It was lukewarm & the sushi wasn’t freshly made. The server offered to warm it up, but I declined as I didn’t want my food reheated. I really wished they had offered to remake the dish.

   We have been to Earls many times. We live nearby. This last visit was for my wife's birthday. I made a reservation and indicated that it was for her birthday but no part of service made it feel special for her/us as a way of celebrating. We sat in the lounge so we could watch the hockey game but the banquette table was extremely tight and uncomfortable. Service was ok. Food was extremely over priced for the portion size we received. High cost, low value. We left the meal feeling ripped off. At the end of a birthday meal we are also accustomed to getting some kind of acknowledgement/thank you from the restaurant like a free dessert but nothing was brought over to us. It's like why do you ask (during the reservation) if we are celebrating a special occasion if you don't make any effort to acknowledge it. After all of that then we are asked to tip a minimum 18% gratuity. Overall we feel Earls Guildford is not worth the money. High cost low value. We won't be going back for awhile.

   the food at this location is never an issue. let me clarify this first. the issues have always been with the service. its gotten to the pt where we anticipate mediocre service expect bad service and are surprised if its good. the waitress was ok but she did the bare minimum. the biggest issue was the inconsistency. there was a table in front of us who were clearly friends with the servers and bartender and they were given everything they needed within seconds and never had to ask. meanwhile we thought about ordering more food or maybe even a dessert but no one came by. there was another table close to us and they were getting the same treatment which was noticeable. i have no problem with staff showing appreciaton to ppl you know like friends and family but not at the expense of ignoring everyone else. i will be back because its a close neighborhood option but wont be surprised of its more of the same .

   Appetizers were cold. Over hour wait for main with empty plates and cups left on table entire time. Terrible service. Will not return

   Great Meal with great service. We had one minor hick up with a couple of the meals. The staff immediately fixed it and everything turned out great. Wonderful evening.

   The volume in the restaurant was extremely loud. I felt like it was more of a night scene, but we were having dinner at 5:30. We asked them to turn down the volume three times as we couldn’t even speak and we’re actually getting a headache from it. The food came out all at once with the appetizers as well.

    Excellent service from Evie as usual! The whole team was great today!. Not a fan of the menu changes. The pulled chicken club was the best!
