Birthday celebration. Sat in bar area which was a little noisy but tolerable. Food was good and service was excellent.
My son ordered the fillet Del Mar chef’s choice & it looked like an appetizer. That was a poor choice for a man. He had to order a baked potato to feel full. The salad included was on a saucer size plate.
I had the cedar plank salmon which was a true entree & was delicious
Eddie Merlot’s is one of our go-to’s for everything from a date night, dinner with friends, to special occasions. The food and service are always impeccable. If something isn’t right, they’ll make it right!
Overall the restaurant was wonderful, but my husband’s steak was undercooked, they forgot the bread and did not have the dessert they recommended we order.
We recently moved to Northern Virginia and tried out Eddie Merlot’s on Sunday night. While the food was very good, the noise level was so loud we had to practically shout to each other to have a conversation. Moreover, our waiter continuously tried to “up charge” every aspect of taking our order that it was very noticeable and annoying. It was a disappointing experience. We won’t be back.
Timm (with 2 “m”s) made our evening so memorable. We decided Sunday on Labor Day weekend that we wanted a “steak-house” steak dinner. We did just that at Eddie Merlot’s. Starting with great cocktails and oysters - we were off to a great start. Next we tried the tuna on the salt block, which was very good. Got a very nice wine recommendation from Timm and we ordered a strip steak and my husband got his favorite - the bone-in rib eye. Both can out perfectly prepared. We tried their cauliflower and Brussels. Cauliflower was the star. Had a greatl time discussing dining with Timm. Our first times at this One Loudoun location and we will definitely return.
Delicious steak! They also gave the birthday girl a card which was nice.
Went for anniversary and had a wonderful experience. John the waiter to care of our every need and the kitchen prepared an exquisite meal. We will definitely go back and bring guests for special occasions.
If you want an upscale experience, I would highly recommend Eddie Merlot’s. The food was excellent, as was the service.
We enjoy Eddie's for all our special occasions. The food is delicious, the sides are plentiful enough to share and the service is great. Our server Molly did an excellent job checking on us throughout the course of the night. The other servers checked on us as they passed our table.
The regular specials were excellent but I would love to try the specialties & platinum steaks on their menu. The bison & sea bass are pricey but they look spectacular. Our waiter was very attentive & knowledgeable about the wine pairings.
Had a wonderful dinner at Eddie's! Service was excellent as well. We chose the summer special and had the salmon and coffee crusted steak as entrees. Finished with Nutty Monk coffee and Bananas Foster prepared table side very expertly by our server. All in all, it was very enjoyable!
The service was great. The food was excellent. We were not hurried and had a very pleasant evening reconnecting with some friends
Our waiter tried to up sale us on everything!
Food was wonderful & service was outstanding!
This was such a great experience! We came to celebrate my husbands birthday with our 4 y/o son who immediately got attention from our waiter (Andy). He was amazing and the food and wine /cocktails outstanding. We will def be back. Oh yeah dessert...awesome! ☺️
Awesome service and food.
Food was excellent. Service was sub par - especially for a restaurant of this caliber. All we had were salads and steaks and it took us 1.5 hours. Gave I with dessert and coffee as it seemed to take the waiter 15-20 minutes between check ins. Very disappointed - especially with the deliciousness of the food!
Two steaks. One cold and one over cooked. Frites arrived cold and soggy.
Everything about the evening was perfect except for the noise level.
Delicious food with outstanding service. Delicious bone in ribeye and bone in filet. Keith our server was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back to have another delicious dinner
Eddie's has been my go-to restaurant when I want an excellent cut of beef. However, this time my prime steak was overcooked, and resembled a rib-eye instead of a NY Strip. I had to wait until my steak came, and by then my family had all but finished eating, so they had to wait for me. While the manager did come to my table with the obligatory apologies, it didn't seem genuine. I was also given two free appetizer certificates, but they expire at the end of this month. It would have been nice not to have and expiration date. Yes, I will go back, because the food is excellent and the servers are awesome. Perhaps just a bad day for the chef...and the bartender. My lemon drop martini was just so-so, and generally I can't stop talking about them or have seconds.
We were seated and waited 7 minutes for the server to take our drink order. Fifteen minutes later we received two wines (no beer). One which was wrong. Two beers arrive 10 minutes later when we asked the server to take back the wrong wine and bring the correct one.
The birthday girl ordered the $99 steak which was not evenly grilled. Half was over done.
The server tried hard but was overworked. I blame management for her excessive workload.
Overall, overpriced food and drink without the corresponding attentive service.
Excellent service and food. Truly would recommend to friends.
I love this restaurant! The food is fabulous with much more than the usual steaks. One of my companions ordered the bison and really enjoyed it. I had the salmon, which was delicious. Their specials are inventive and varied enough to satisfy any palette. The bar is really large, beautiful and lots of fun. I highly recommend having a glass of wine or specialty cocktail there before you have your dinner in the main dining room. Valet parking makes it easy to get in and out, even in the rain!
They have fantastic specials to make a fancy night out more affordable.
Attentive service, grand atmosphere, amazing dinner, and delicious wine! We'll definitely be back!
A high end steakhouse that doesn't disappoint. Great food, service and atmosphere.
Brock did a spectacular job and is a true asset to the establishment.
Delicious food with outstanding service. Abdul our server was awesome
very expensive, wonderful service. Not a good value for the food.
This week the food was excellent. I would truly like to recommend Khaled for recogination He is truly the best waiter you have at Eddie Merlot's . My girlfirend was with my husband and I, she truly loved the food. Thank you so very much. I was very worried about the food after last week.
First visit and all 4 of us enjoyed. Spinach salad was delicious. Everything was cooked as requested.
Meg was AMAZING. She really made our first experience one to remember. I also had my first bison filet mug on, and I’m pretty sure It was better than the $100 Waygu ribeye (which was also incredible). We Will definitely be back.
Waiter was excellent. Wish I could remember his name. Food was very good. Banana fosters was excellent
Bison steak was good, but not fantastic. Wife's NY Strip was overcooked and tasteless. The brussel sprouts were decent but lacked flavor as well. Au gratin potatoes were good and the pot sticker app was average.
The two mixed drinks we great and our waiter Bryce was fantastic.
Overall, the experience was just, Meh...
Can't say I'd go back, except maybe just to try dessert. Would not recommend this place to anyone as I feel like I could go to another place and get a similar tasting meal for half the price.
Planned dinner for our family of four at 6:30. The restaurant was not busy yet we were there for almost 3 hours with two kids. My husband and I both got sick , we are thinking from the calamari since it’s the only thing we both ate. The server was very nice but the service was so slow and like I said not busy at all. We waited twenty minutes for dessert and about an hour and a half for our food. They did give the dessert on the house because of th wait which was nice .
Delicious food with outstanding service. Brittney was excellent
My first time there and it was excellent. The greeters, the Wait staff, Kurt (one of the Managers), even the Valet Team, all great! Look forward to going back!
I go to Eddie Merlot's weekly. This week a new cook. Everything was very poor. I am going back this Saturday, I hope it will improve. Very disappointed.
