What you would expect from a noted steakhouse. Loved the reduced wine bottle prices available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Got a$100 bottle for only $50!
I was looking forward to Eddie Merlot’s for their cocktails and quality service. I didn’t get either one. They were out of their special bordeaux cherries. Maraschino doesn’t work in anything other than a Shirley Temple, so no Manhattan for me. Instead of going to the bar and quietly canceling the order, the wait staff yelled across the restaurant. The service continued in that rather casual vein throughout; not what I associate with a first class steakhouse. I left feeling let down and disappointed.
Last evening, we decided to splurge after a tough work week. We ordered the "Tax Week Specials" which were a 26 oz. prime porterhouse (me) & the 8oz. prime NY strip with shrimp scampi (my wife) - and were not disappointed. For sides, we had their garlic mashed potatoes and the tempura green beans with a wasabi dipping sauce. The food was plentiful, delicious, and beautifully presented. The ambience remains attractive & relaxing. Our server, Meg, was attentive, friendly, and courteous. All in all, a terrific dining experience - highly recommended!
We were called by phone 6 hours prior our reservation - we were told that they had no crescent shaped booth because someone had reserved the booth a week before us. This was unacceptable. I had called a week before to make the appointment. Why did it take almost a week to tell us a booth was not available. We almost cancelled my wife's reservation hearing this news. It was her birthday, Open Table should have caught this. Management should have caught this well ahead of time. Not an acceptable start. Bad start.
We went to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was very fitting for the occasion. The service was superb 10/10 recommend. The chocolate cake is also a must have!!
Always delicious food with outstanding service.
Too loud. It seems like you can't decide if you want to be a fine dining restaurant or a sports bar
Service was slow. Appetizers arrived before our drinks. Waiter was constantly speaking to a server in Spanish about another table, multiple times during our dinner. I have had amazing waiters here before. Just not what I would expect from this caliber of restaurant.
Table was ready when we got there. Out waiter was on point and friendly. The food was excellent.
We love this place. And will come again and again. But in full disclosure, the fillet steak tonight was a little overcooked instead of medium rare. I look for medium rare to be all the way to the edge. And it was medium center and almost well everywhere else. But it was so tasty, we didn’t turn it back. Everything else was perfect!!! The mashed potatoes, the Brussel sprouts, and the wine. And the staff took care off us as they always do.
Although the ambience is always excellent! I was very disappointed with my appetizer. It was acknowledged and I was given a free desert. Also the steaks were slightly over priced for what you get.
Cassie is the best. We always sit in her section
Outstanding dinner as always!!! Our wait staff could not be matched. Carla and TJ are the best!!!!! Love everything about this restaurant!!!!
Best fine dining restaurant service ever. The entire staff was super friendly, personable and extremely accommodating. The food was more than amazing. Easter brunch, 3 course meal - food was excellent!!!
Easter Brunch
What set the Easter brunch apart was course one, the Avocado toast. It was literally to die for!
We enjoyed our Easter Brunch. Food was very good and our waitress was sweet.
The bartender was not as skilled with knowledge of pouring an expensive wine. Ordered a $50 glass of wine which was a six ounce pour. The waitress gladly added it was the end of the bottle so he poured out a little more. Not what we wanted to hear. He also poured all the sediment in the small carafe. She then poured the wine into our glass. My husband walked it back to the bar and had him strain the wine. He saw the sediment in the glass, washed the glass, left water at the bottom of the glass, and then tried to add the wine. We also ordered the endless Bloody Mary. I ordered one, asked for more tomato juice and that was the only one I tried to drink. Not your usual.
See you next time for dinner and will order the bottle instead to enjoy the wine.
1st time we have been to a restaurant in a yr. felt confortable;., our server Fave was extremely attentive. Food was yummy! See you again soon!
The overall experience was great. Food was good (one exception was the oyster appetizer it wasn't bad, but it wasn't that good either). Chairs were comfortable. We were given a great seat near a fireplace. Music was on, but it was not overbearing at all -- we were able to have great conversation at our table. It's a little far from our house, but we wanted to try something new. If we end up wanting to head that far out into the country again we will be back.
We like Eddiemerlot but not this time. My 90$ wagu ribeye was over cooked
memorable birthday celebration with family
Everything was great service was flawless Great teamwork
Thanks for impressing everyone
The food from appetizers/starters to the dessert was phenomenal and worth the money. We had their Ahi Tuna Poke and it was so fresh and light. Then shared the Wagyu beef with Lobster tail and Eddie’s potatoes with wild mushrooms; this was out of this world good. The steak was cooked to perfection with correct temperature internally but a beautiful crusted exterior. The brownie with cognac sauce and ice cream was so amazing and was such a cool thing to see the cognac lit on fire before being put on the plate. The waitress did an awesome job with her exceptional service and on the dessert delicately putting the cognac sauce so that the brownie had a hint of cognac flavor but not overwhelmed.
Very good except for the calamari, way overcooked. Everything else was very good.
Everything about the dinner was beyond outstanding. Service was exceptional with very pleasant staff. I got the lobster special and it was outstanding. Not overcooked as in most restaurants. Definitely my favorite restaurant.
Great dinner for a great event. Cannot wait to visit again.
Outstanding service from Cassie, terrific food and ambience!
I brought my boyfriend for his birthday and it was amazing. We had such a wonderful experience creating new memories for sure. Thank you.
Received an email for $10 cheeseburgers at Merlot’s and could not pass it up. Normally go for special occasions but this was just a casual hamburger but made with the finest ingredients. Service was still top notch. , good health protocols and the price actually met the ads. Not big bait and switch or up sell. I’ll be baack.
We felt like a bother to our waitress. We waited an extra 30 minutes in total because they were nowhere to be found most of the time, and it wasnt busy.
The dining experience was good. I was very impressed with how well they were socially distancing the tables. Our wait staff was attentive and had a great personality. This restaurant is known for their good food and good service, they did not disappoint on this night.
Great all Around service and food.
Elegant upscale restaurant in the heart of One Loudoun featuring excellent dining and delightful cocktails
We have been several times, but this was not up to standard. The cosmo was not noteworthy and tasted watered down. The calamari was also fair and not flavorful. The wagyu ribeye and the filet were each very tasty, but way way too salty. And, the faucet water in the ladies room was scaldingly hot. Our waitress was wonderful. But, for the bill nearing $300 for two, it was an unmemorable meal, sadly.
The food was pretty bland as it appears that they do not believe in seasoning anything but the bread!
This was our first time at Eddie merlots. The whole experience was amazing. The service was great and the food was absolutely amazing.
Loved the food! Loved the service! The decor made me feel like I was in an 80’s mob movie.
Food was good, however mashed potatoes were cold and the service was slow. I’d give it another shot.
We love dining at Eddie Merlot's. We took two friends to dinner to celebrate a birthday. We were in the back dining area and it was perfect (next to the windows). They've done a good job of spreading tables out for social distancing. The food was fabulous and our waiter was very accommodating. We brought a bottle of Opus One to celebrate the occasion and paid the corkage fee, but we've always been impressed by their wine selection. Highly recommend the oysters Rockefeller, steaks, sweet potato casserole and the carrot cake!
Great food and date!
Always enjoy our dinners at Eddie’s and this one didn’t disappoint. Wonderful wine and cocktails to start and our Friday fish specials were delicious.
