This place deserves a Michelin Star. My only question would be if they give stars to places that have a burger on the menu...I truly don't know. That said, I find the real challenge for any great chef is to do flavorful things with vegetables. So I took the chance on the vegetarian tasting menu. It was stunning!
Even my dining partner (who had the burger) was a little regretful that he didn't get what I got. I gave him some very stingy bites off my plate.
This place works hard to get it right and they do it very well. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Just go there!
Amazing! Jonathan and Bill are fantastic! Great restaurant if you are vegetarian!
We had a wonderful Mother's Day brunch. We have been to Eden before and they have one of the best brunches in the city. Creative without going off the deep end. Everything fresh and tasty. Will be back.
Don't sit near the door if it's cold outside. Otherwise, fantastic.
Amazing Mother’s Day brunch. Love the fresh ingredients, tasty dishes and friendly service. Always a pleasure to dine at Eden.
Greatest Mother’s Day experience. Enjoyed the tagliatelle with pork belly and apples!
It was wonderful
The Caesar and Beet salads were fabulous! We also love the hamburgers and the Chicken. Wine list is ever changing and excellent with great prices. Waitstaff is very knowledgeable and we love their recommendations.
Great food and excellent service! My husband had the lamb and I had the strip loin. Both were cooked to perfection!
This is only my second time to Eden and there will be many more visits in the future. We went to Eden to celebrate my nephew's birthday. The restaurant has a modern and minimalist feel to it. It's more of a casual vibe than a fancy dining where you feel compelled to dress up (which is more of my group's style) and without being overcharged like most fine dining does.
The food and service is the star of the show. The flavors of the dishes are uncomparable to any restaurant. Fresh food and unique flavors are found in every dish. My nephew whose favorite past time is to try different restaurants said this is by far the "best restaurant he's ever eaten at." The service is exceptional. We were impressed by the food, knowledge as well as our waiter Bill's charm and passion. I also have to give a shout out to Eric who also helped to explain the components of the dish.
Eden is everything you'd expect with fine dining and then some. Highly recommend this for any occasion. Can't wait to go back and try the Sunday brunch.
Phenomenal burger. Amazing donut. Excellent
food was good and really pretty space. portions are small
Parents visiting from out of town
Attractive, but out-of-the-way location. The food was inventive, well seasoned and presented well. We enjoyed the creative use of homegrown herbs and flowers.
We had a bit of a wait before being served. One of the servers was either late or there was confusion as to who was serving us. The staff was apologetic and it was clear that they knew they could have done better.
Such a beautiful place for brunch!
Excellent experience! Truly a wonderful time! I can't wait to go back and experience more dishes!
I’d been to Eden twice before, so I knew it was the perfect choice for Easter brunch. We had a party of 11, and everyone really enjoyed the food, and most commented on how beautiful the space is. We had excellent service, and a truly wonderful time!
Eden is a hidden beautiful gem! Amazing ambiance, incredible mouth watering food, the best homemade doughnut in the world along with impeccable service. This place is literally the best!
Everything was wonderful but the Easter Bunny wasn't great, he/she seemed like they really didn't want to be there. Not very good with the kids. Otherwise everything was wonderful.
As usual, Eden did not disappoint. Went Saturday night for my wife's birthday, with 8 of her family members and everyone loved it. Charlie created a custom cocktail for my wife that became a table hit. Jolene did a great job and Bill greeted us by name, as he waited on us last time. The Pork Tagliatelle and Redfish were the group favorites. My only complaint is that the IPA list was weak, but most people drink their fancy cocktails or wine. Again, we will be back as this is my go-to business dinner spot in Chicago.
The food was fabulous.
Bill, our waiter, was amazing & completely enhanced the experience! We will absolutely come back!
Great service and amazing food! We sat at the Chef's counter which was lively, stimulating and an overall very fun experience. Highly recommend the burger too! Definitely will be returning.
We had a really nice experience at Eden. Food was end to end good with our mains fish and lamb specials the highlight. Drinks were good but could have been a bit more creative with better selection was our only thought. Will definitely return especially to try brunch here and the patio.
Great as always. Excellent service and food is some of the best in town.
First time, food was very good, service excellent, convenient parking
Always a great experience! Food was wonderful and service is everything anyone would want, excellent!
All of the dishes were very tasty, interesting, creative and a step above basic good. They have a large parking lot, which makes it easy to drive to. I was just there in April, but it looks like they have some inviting outdoor spaces. I would like to come back and check it out.
The only downside, was it was very noisy. It is beyond the Open Table category of "Energetic", but one of my dining companions noted that the back room was much quieter. I will be sure to book that next time.
I will definitely go again and will be telling others.
I’d been to Eden once, for brunch last summer, and loved everything about my experience. Since then, it had slipped off my radar a bit, mainly due to location—but I’m so glad I went back!
The gnocchi was fantastic (I ate every bite!), service was great, and the ambiance was relaxed and comfortable.
I’m going back for Easter brunch with friends who have never been, and I’m excited to introduce them to it.
As always a great experience! Food is excellent as is service!
Eden was fantastic! All their food was of the highest quality and gorgeous presentation. Many of the vegetables that they serve are grown in a greenhouse behind the restaurant, making them fresh and very flavorful. We started off brunch with their house made donuts, and these were unlike any donut I have ever eaten. They had such nuanced flavors and delicate textures! All brunch entrees were sublime with fresh ingredients and delicious meats. When I return to Chicago, I will be returning to Eden.
Food was good, staff were very attentive, kind and helpful. Only issue was the noise level. We were there on a Saturday night (four of us) and it was difficult to hear across the table. The music was not loud -- it was just the cacophony of so many people talking in a restaurant with hardwood floors and no sound dampening. I will go back, but maybe on an off night when it's not so full.
Eden is one of the few vegetarian friendly fine dining places out of the crowded west loop circle. Food is cooked and garnished in a way I couldn't think about any reasons that it should not be Michelin stared. The atmosphere is chic yet crowded. You can hear what your friends talk like in a private room. Service is absolutely outstanding from booking reservation to the end. Highly recommended.
Great restaurant all around. Wouldn’t be surprised if they get a Michelin star at some point. Creative chef with an open and fun atmosphere.
Eden was fantastic all around. The staff were particularly great as was the food. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
We selected Eden because it was close to United Center where we were attending a concert. From the minute we walked in our experience was top notch. Every single employee that we interacted with with extremely helpful and friendly. In particular, our server, Brian, was great! The food was unique and extremely tasty. I am a vegetarian and loved all of the innovative vegetarian options (it was hard to decide). Everyone at our table loved their meal as well as the appetizers. Drinks were also great. Top to bottom this restaurant is fantastic!
We loved it. Decided to go before the Mumford and Sons concert because it was highly rated and so close to the UC..we were not disappointed the food and service were top notch! Our waiter Linus was attentive and made some excellent suggestions on the menu. We each had a couple glasses of Albariño which we really liked. We had the Beet salad the Brussels sprouts both excellent, an off menu item of carrots and peas which was also great and then we had the Tagliatelle which we loved also. We wanted to try the fried chicken or the burger but we were pretty full so settled for the opera cake which was also great! Our busboy I think his name was Rafael was constantly refilling our water and quick to remove our used plates. The atmosphere is really lively and a young crowd. Nice to get such fine food in a not so stuffy place. We will be back!
Chef Devon is always a pleasure when interacting with him at the Chefs Counter. He is a true artisan and the dishes he comes up with are just great. Never disappointed coming here.
Really lovely farm to table food. Have tried a number of different dishes and they have all been fantastic. Butternut squash arancini and baby beat salad - amazing. Lamb shank was really great too. Great flavor - interesting combinations that seem to work so well, great presentation, relaxed atmosphere. Also really nice cocktails and mocktails. Plus this restaurant has parking! Can get a bit loud if it's full.
Excellent food , and service!
