We took a chance dining in a restaurant we had not heard of and left asking each other when will we come back for another meal. Let me first say that Southwest FL leaves much to be desired for small, intimate, inner city hole in the wall dining establishments with limited menus and well prepared food. El Basque is straight out of small dining experiences and so needed in SWFL. It was so refreshing to have small plates to choose from and to dine slowly and order as we wanted more food. The warm crisp baguette slices with stellar olive oil was just the start of a good meal. To be asked by Maria our server, did we want more bread is unheard of in today’s mega dining establishments. The wine plumped figs with Drunken Goat cheese left two of us wanting more. The arugula, goat cheese and shrimp salad was very nice but perhaps could have used a touch more of olive oil. The cod was recommended by our male server and we loved it. Non dessert eaters but Maria convinced us to share a slice of the tastiest and lightest cheesecake worth the calories. Nice wine list. More El Basque and reservations will be tough to have in Season.

The appetizers were tasty. The vegetarian main dish was unavailable, sadly. I ordered the cod which was deep fried & there wasn’t much of the fish to eat at all! My friend has the Salad with canned tuna, not fresh….disappointing. We won’t be back.

Neighborhood Gem! Everything we tried was outstanding! Loved the Pintxo plater! We ordered for a shared plate for appetizer for the table. Escargot, Vin Fig, Mortxia (Blood Sausage), Ganbak Tocino (Shrimp) and Txorizoa Brie (Chorizo Sausage) was delicious! Codfish: crispy on the outside and tender and flaky on the inside. Filet was done to perfection! The atmosphere is chic and great to be able to have conversation. Great addition to Bonita Springs area and highly recommend!

Pleasant atmosphere but a bit chilly. Service was friendly and professional but slow as only one server for the entire restaurant. The food was fresh and flavorful. The small plates were indeed small portions. The soup was delicious.

What a wonderful gem.. This was our first visit for both couples but it will Definitely NOT be our last.. Pleasantly greeted immediately by the host.. we were immediately seated at a great table for 4.. live music 🎶- the only caveat here was one of our guests wears hearing aids and we were seated directly across from the musician and it interfered with his hearing aid.. ( I might suggest requesting a seat away from musician if anyone wears hearing aids) :( Our very helpful waiter recommended a few appetizers ( Pinxto’s) and they were fabulous.. our favorites- the bacon wrap shrimp, brie & chorizo & figs with drunken goat cheese… so so good.. The duck entree was fabulous!! The Paella is very good- not served as traditionally with rice but with squid ink pasta ( be careful- it dyes your lips & tongue black ). The cod was fine- a little heavy on the breading. we followed up by sharing a piece of their really yummy & light cheesecake! Delicious Overall a really really nice evening.. very small quaint restaurant.. definitely a great spot & all 4 of us would highly recommend enjoy

Súper great find for North Naples residents in Bonita! Loved the shrimp tapas, the Ibérica ham and the Albariño wine from Galicia! Electric classic guitar player live music was very good and added to ambience. Server gave good recommendations. Glad to finally have an authentic Spanish tapas location in southern florida!

Small, comfortable restaurant with beautiful artwork by owner’s grandma. Food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the Iberian pork and the shrimp wrapped in bacon. Everyone enjoyed their meal and said they would go back.

How exciting to have a new restaurant with culturally different food! The Basque interpretation on classic French dishes like Escargot is fabulous. The Spanish influence with a focus on cured meats was also great and authentic. Who knew that SWFL could go beyond standard suburban fare?

Friendly but the ladies I brought were disappointed in the amount of food for price my first time there the octopus was served on a dish not a bowl they said they would try again as you were very accommodating an your daughter is a gem Hope this is helpful
