Delicious authentic Mexican food. Can’t believe it took me this long to try this place. Hands down best Mexican food in South Jersey, trust me - I’ve tried them all. The service is wonderful and the servers are honest about the menu. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Food was outstanding but service was extremely slow. We were told it was due to everything being made from scratch. That may be true, but it should not take two hours to get and eat a meal at a BYOB. If we go again, we will try an early reservation.

We had a really fun dinner at El Mariachi San Lucas. There were four of us, so we split 4 meals and an appetizer (guacamole), and were very impressed with our meals. We were seated promptly by a very friendly hostess but I think they were busier than expected, so service took a little while, but our waitress was INCREDIBLY sweet and accommodating. We especially enjoyed the trio of salsas that went along with the chips; our waitress refilled that for us but also kept an eye on our water glasses, which was good, given the heat level of that red salsa! We would happily go back--next time, we'll save room for dessert, since the cakes looked really pretty.

I’m from the West Coast and vacation frequently in MX, so I’ve eaten Mexican food all my life. El Mariachi was absolutely as good if not better than any Mexican food I’ve ever had, and in my opinion, very authentic. I can hardly wait to return.

Very authentic, delicious food. Close to home, and a BYOB as well. Our friends that brought their own tequila for margaritas, were really surprised at how good the mix was that was served. We're regulars there and will keep going back.

The food is very good. Well worth the trip. The restaurant is very clean, and decorated nicely. Our server was terrific.
However, their tables for 2 are very, very small. Hardly enough room for the dinner plates. This time we requested a 4 seat table since on other occasions when we've dined there other parties of 2 were seated at tables for 4. There were at least 4 open 4 seat tables when we were there, but the hostess would not put us at any of them. She said they were all "reserved" . Then several minutes later she broke down the 4 top next to us into two 2 tops and took one of the 2 tops out of the room. She then sat a couple there at the remaining 2 top. It's not lost on us that she obviously didn't really have it reserved, and could have easily put us at the 4 top and the couple at our 2 top. Very bad management of the front of the house was on display and it left us questioning if we will return.
