Enoteca da Luca - Mayfair
Very Disappointed - I took an old acquaintance for lunch - having visited Enoteca many times in both place in the City. This was like a very poor cousin - the food was distinctly average. service was good. I am afraid that I will not be going back to this branch
Booked here after a great experience at the Spittlefield location
Friendly attentive hosts
Food is delicious, but small and somewhat limited menu
Shame the requested wine was unavailable and the recommended replacement not as good
The food and wine were nice but unfortunately the smell of frying coming from the kitchen was completely overpowering and our clothes and hair reeked by the time we left. Hardly anyone eating, so maybe the kitchen was busy cooking takeouts. The seating is very uncomfortable as there are too many booths squashed In to the tiny space. Risotto was nice and we made the best of a poor experience but sorry, I won’t be going back.
Good things - great, wine list, food is tasty and authentic, nice ambience etc
Bad things - if you sit downstairs you get forgotten, food was tasty but won't blow your mind
And worse thing - we saw a mouse near the kitchen door! And mentioned it to the staff.
