We have dined here several times and have always had a great experience. However tonight’s dinner was quite disappointing. All of our meals were very salty and in our opinion it worth the price. Two salads with 3 tiny pieces of chicken and lettuce. The ravioli was dry and undercooked. The prime rib was over cooked and salty to the point that it was inedible. The appetizers were good and our waitress was great. However those two alone could not overcome the disappointment of the cost of dinner for the quality we received. Also be forewarned that there is a 5% tax applied for a “wellness charge” that was not disclosed or explained. Sadly we will not return after this evenings experience

Being in the business, I have a high level of expectation for service and for food. I brought my Mom for her 85th Birthday along with our extended family. I usually get the best food here but this time my NY Strip Steak was so bad, the meat was chewy. Not the quality you expect from NY Strip steak. I had to wait 15 minutes to get the waiter’s attention then another 30 mins to get the replacement order which was a prime rib which was just ok but edible. I wander if they had changed the butcher or their chef. The server was actually very nice just not efficient.

Loved that they had a Rosh Hashanah special menu, but weirdly--I had to go back to the hostess to get the special menu. It was not offered to us, and we would not known about it if I had not been on the website prior to our visit. We tried to purchase the Challah appetizer for the table, but they 'ran out.' Considering that they were not promoting/offering people the menu with the Challah appetizer on it, it seems unlikely. It felt like people in Reston afraid to admit they have Jewish food. Two of us had our meal off the special menu. The fig/orange chicken and the brisket in tomato sauce were delicious. However, the best food of the evening were the latkas (potato pancakes) and tzimmes (root veggies) were incredible. Perfect texture and absolutely outstanding seasoning and taste. From the regular menu, the other couple with us had the planked salmon which was also excellent. The steak arrived perfectly rare (as requested), but was ho-hum in taste per the person who ordered it. The hibiscus soda was refreshing and a definite treat. We brought Key lime pie home for dessert, and it was worthy. The ambience was definitely energetic and vibrant, but the tables to either side of us were extremely loud. It is the first time I have been at a restaurant and wished I had lip-reading skills. Once those tables received their food, we were able to have a conversation. I would definitely recommend giving it a try, especially if they have a secret Jewish (or other) menu available and you want to try something outside of the usual fare.

The food was excellent. Our server was not. It wasn’t busy and we waited a very long time for everything, to include our check. I blame the server - she didn’t put our orders in a timely manner or just plain forgot when we asked for something. I would only return again because I love the food and drinks.

We had one of the worst experiences we’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. The staff was very friendly for the most part. I will say when we arrived for a reservation and the host attempted to seat us, the waiter in that area yelled at the host and told him that he was not going to seat another table in his section. The host remained calm and took us back to the front and found another section for us. While the waitress was very nice, the food was awful. Our entrées arrived before our appetizer so we asked the waitress to remove the appetizer. One of the biggest issues with the food was that chunks of salmon were found randomly in my scallops meal. This could be a major issue to anyone with fresh fish allergies, so I hope the restaurant is more cognizant of this going forward. It was like the chef made a mistake and plated salmon instead of the scallops and once the mistake was realized, they removed it, leaving pieces of the salmon behind. The bed of brussels sprouts that were on my meal were cold soggy and tasteless. My family had chicken entrées and both meals were under seasoned, over fried, and pretty tasteless. The manager and waitress were very apologetic and attempted to offer us free desserts. However, by that point, we had had enough so we declined the desserts and decided to leave after paying our bill.

The food was fabulous, and our server was wonderful. But it took well over 30 mins for them to bring our entree’s, I honestly think our ticket got lost. The server was very apologetic and comped us dessert but the manager didn’t even acknowledge the mistake or come over an apologize himself.

Ordered rock fish,, got salmon without asking. Told by waiter the chef said they were out of rock fish. Then told they had plenty and the chef made the mistake. manager came over and gave us free desserts for our trouble. Waiter was polite, but he was covering too many outside tables so service got slower and slower until it was crazy slow. For the hype and the price, we expected better service. Not the waiter's fault; his manager failed him and us.

Eight of us had reservations at 6 pm. We ordered one round of drinks and appetizers, then waited and waited for our dinner order to be taken. They were very short handed, not enough wait staff. By the time our meal came out it was after 8 pm. The food very very tasty, but while the Chicken Pot Pie was steaming hot, the meatloaf was warm, and the mashed potatoes room temperature and not appetizing to look at (they looked like they had been sitting there an hour or more). In between placing food orders and getting the food, there was not a server to be seen, so we could not order refills or second rounds of drinks until after the food was served. The 8 of agreed that while the food was good (although not hot for some), the service was way too slow, especially with many tables in our section empty.

Fantastic food. We got the cheese ravioli, and farmers platter. Best pasta I’ve ever had. My daughter said it was the best burger she’s ever had. Our waiter was knowledgeable, kind and efficient. Desserts were outstanding! Get it all! We will be back!

The restaurant was clean and had a good vibe. Our server, Orlando, was courteous and attentive. He ensured we had a good experience. The food could have been better. I have visited the Founding Farmers in Tyson and always had an excellent experience there. The food at Founding Farmers - Reston left much to be desired. The Pimento Cheese and the Seven Cheese Macaroni were too salty to be inedible. The Spicy Fried Chicken was overcooked and dry. The Cheesy Cheddar Grits were undercooked. I will not return to the Reston location.

We were seated for our reservation at 2:30 and it took 10-12 minutes for someone to greet us at our table. The booth bench was cracked/broken and the floor was filthy. We had the server put in appetizers/drinks, and inquired about restaurant week. It’s the last day for restaurant week. $25 for a 3 course lunch and $40 for a 3 course dinner. No menu was given to communicate that. It felt as though the server intentionally waited 15 minutes and put our food in the system AFTER 3:00 pm, so she could charge us the dinner prices. Even the food runner made a comment to us that he was waiting for our main entrees to come out and that it was taking ABNORMALLY long. Food was ok. Bread was good, deviled eggs were eggs with egg salad put back into the egg (not a typical deviled egg). Fried green tomatoes were good. The spinach dip was good, but way overpriced for what you get. The fried chicken was just ok. Most of our food was warm, not hot. Mac n cheese was lukewarm and the green beans looked like they had been chewed up and spit back out on the plate. It was odd and I wish I had taken a picture. My mom had salmon and mashed potatoes and said it was very good. My husband had a burger and said it was just ok. The desserts were old. The banana cream pie seemed like it was sitting for a long time and had a consistency like quiche, which was odd. The ice cream tasted old and we found a big piece of hard plastic in it. Thankfully my mom has taken that bite of ice cream and found it , and not my sister who is special needs. She would have choked. The bill came and weren’t surprised that the server charged us for DINNER for 5 out of 6 of our meals, $40/person for restaurant week. It was shady. I was upset, but didn’t want to make a scene with my mom there. It was definitely NOT WORTH the $40/person Especially my son! He got: Bread/butter as appetizer Tomato soup/grilled cheese 1 chocolate chip cookie -$40 Disappointing We won’t be back. They need to do clean up the place.

I believe what set the tone was my interaction with the hostess. Normally, I have a pleasant conversation before I am given my seat. This was cold and bland. No eye contact and it made me feel some kind of way. Our server, Ella was outstanding. The food not only had great presentation but tasted delicious

Great experience! A mild, sunny day allowed us to eat outside -- first time on the patio, and we found the setting much more conducive to conversation than inside (a bit of echo perhaps in the tall industrial ceiling?) The hostess spoke to us with a smile, as did our attentive waiter and super friendly food runner. We enjoyed the deviled eggs, fried green tomatoes, and his/hers chicken fried steak + donut. Grand plans to also order dessert fell to the wayside as we both hit full halfway through our entrees. We took our donuts home for a treat later that night and vowed to return another time for drinks and dessert!

We had the Sunday Brunch and sat outside. The staff was very helpful in making sure we were all in the shade--under umbrellas. The buffet was hearty, delicious and had great variety. A wonderful way to Brunch.
