   Food and service was outstanding (Ray in particular) One concern though I have no issue with dogs being allowed into restaurants my problem is the owners feeding their dogs from their own plates whilst I was eating.

   Great food ,but had to wait for an available table for 45 minutes even when it had booked for 2months. Also one starter had been missed so other guests in group had nearly finished theirs when the last one cameo

   Food was good, but got rushed to leave as they needed our table. The lady we had as our service was really good but the manager was pretty rude. Would go again due to they are dog friendly.

   Didn’t know it was a dog friendly restaurant & certainly wasn’t expecting to see one in there …especially in a top restaurant in Edinburgh,I would think twice before booking again & I was planning on taking my son & family but he has allergies to dog hairs so that won’t be happening.

    The steak was under seasoned and we asked for med rare, however I thought it was cooked more medium. The mash was also under seasoned and lacked depth of flavour. Service from waiter was meh but hostess was nice.

    Both my wife and I had a pleasant experience. The waiter was very helpful explaining the menu with regards flavours, ingredients and presentation. I would highly recommend them. Steak was cooked to perfection.

    Great food and attentive service. It was slow getting desserts as the restaurant got very busy. The service staff tried to give updates but were not receiving these from the kitchen. A small note and an exception due to it being mother's day. Other than that a lovely meal and good service as expected at gaucho

    Poor service, waitress kept getting orders wrong. Food came out cold and had to be returned (2 plates). Only ordered one bottle of still water and one sparkling but got charged for 5. No draft beer only bottles and no prosecco, just Cava.

    Table booked for 8pm. Arrived at ten to and told to wait in bar area upstairs as they were busy downstairs in restaurant and table wasn't ready. Manager came up to speak to us and other customers at 8:30 as the wait was prolonged for several customers. Eventually had to speak with hostess who then seated us at 8:45. During dinner, had to return steak twice as it could not be cut with two different steak knives provided. Second time returned undercooked and was like chewing gum. Staff indicated slow tables were due to rugby being on and advised us not to book on a weekend night. A disappointing night all round and will be reluctant to return.

    My cousin and I took our mum's here for mother's day. The venue it's stunning. Our waitress Bella was attentive, informative and extremely helpful! Each staff member we came across was lovely. The food and drinks were amazing! Can't wait to come back again.

    The staff were excellent and friendly nothing was to much trouble from sorting our cocktails out to ordering us a taxi and getting me the lift. The food was out standing. Thank you for a lovely time.

    Ordered the Lomo fillet which was cooked perfectly. Spinach side and fiery chimmichurri sauce went well with it. Service was excellent and a minor mishap with the order was sorted immediatley.

    Wine was very overpriced for the quality of wine. Steaks were excellent and service was good. Wanting to explain each of the cuts of steak seems a bit unnecessary for most.

    Stunning restaurant. Staff knowledgable and friendly. We did have an issue but the general manager dealt with us personally, delivering a level of customer service that went above & beyond. We will be back.

    Predictably excellent steak but also delicious crispy chips. Our server Monika was superb from her recommendation on the sublime bottle of Malbec to her attentive but not overly so delivery of the whole meal from welcome to bill.

    The food was just amazing, the environment is chilled and relaxed, a fantastic trip through Argentina's food and drink specialities. Wouldn't doubt it in the slightest if wanting to celebrate a special occasion! Affordable considering main ingredients are imported from Argentina!!! Definitely dinning here again!

    The reason for going to Gaucho is steak. I had a spiral cut (don't know what this means) sirloin which had been marinated in oil and garlic. It was more tender than I had expected or even hoped for. One of the best I have ever had, and I have eaten some amazing steaks in the US. My wife had the more conventional sirloin and declared it also excellent.
