   Asked for a table with a view. We were seated at table #11 for the second time. Food service was perfect. However, we would like a better table with a view upon making reservations. We have a great deal of family coming to visit and this is one of our favorite restaurants to dine. We are making reservations for April, family from Las Vegas coming soon. Many thanks SEvans

   First time dining here again since before the pandemic. As always the food was high quality and very delicious. The service was welcoming but the waitress wasn’t as attentive and kept forgetting to bring things to the table. The menu online had different prices to the menu we revived on the day. Would have been nice to know that there was such a big increase in meal prices.m before hand.

   We got our reservation time wrong so were called after 20 mins by a lady who a little abruptly said the grace period was 15 mins so they would be taking our £10 deposit. Feels like it would make more sense to ring after 10 mins? She was reluctant to let us try to get a table or eat at the bar even when we said we were literally round the corner. However, we were there in a few minutes and a very helpful front of house gentleman said it wasn’t an issue. Our waitress was then great too. The steak was good but not great and not comparable to other steak restaurants in the same price bracket. Very expensive and not as good as it should be but some lovely members of staff.

   Not a great experience for our party. We ordered 2 x waghu burgers, 1 x Caesar salad with sirloin, 1 x picanaha steak. Plus 3 x triple chips, 1 x cauliflower cheese and 1 x new potatoes. The waghu burgers were excellent. The Caesar salad was ok but have had better for half the price and the picanahu steak was so tough it was almost inedible. We asked the waiter if it was cooked for longer would that help (we had asked for it to be med/rare) but we were told no, it would make it worse! So we persevered. We had a side delivered which we hadn’t ordered and one of the chips and new potatoes didn’t turn up. We mentioned this to the waiter. And they did eventually arrive just as we were finishing our meal which was far too late. So overall we were very disappointed with the meal. Gillray you need to do better.

   The food is simply delicious, the menu has a good variety. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The place is peaceful for a nice lunch and dinner. And it has amazing views! Best value for money.

    This is mine and my partner’s favourite place for any special occasion. Today I bought my father in law to show him what all the fuss is about and he loved it too! Thank you to all staff members who served us namely Diana and Sandra. We did miss jay and oxanna who we hope to catch next time! Thank you for the perfect view, delicious food, copious amounts of ketchup and the wonderful one to one personalised service! See you all soon - from, Mr Ketchup!!     We visited for lunch before attending the theatre & my partner ordered a rare tomahawk steak. We waited 50 minutes for our food - which we were initially fine with - but when it arrived my partner’s tomahawk was well done. We were told another one wouldn’t be ready for another 50 minutes, which we didn’t have time for, so he had to order the burger instead. He sat and watched me eat as my steak had already arrived, and then I had to sit and watch him eat once his burger arrived. He didn’t particularly want or enjoy the burger, but we expected the price of it would at least come off of the bill. It didn’t, we got one drink for free instead. The waitress was lovely, but ultimately at a high price restaurant that specialises in steak I wouldn’t expect such a poor experience.

    Great views with its placement next to the London Eye Ferris wheel. The food was very good. Not great but very good. The service was friendly but could use some more polish. The wine we ordered from the wine list was unavailable, but we did get an excellent recommendation for a replacement wine. It was a bit more expensive, but we were kindly charged the same price of our original selection. The arrival of our food took a long time. Luckily, a member of management noticed our wait and once he told us he was going to check with the kitchen, food began to arrive. So, I would call Gilray's a mixed bag. I am glad I went, but do not see a return visit.

    We were there at NYE and paid £450 per person. Of course we had an amazing view of the fireworks, the staff was really friendly and the live music was great, but for that price we expected a bit more of the food. It was good, but nothing extraordinary.

    My guest ordered the chili and very disappointed. The squid had not been separated when they were fried and were all stuck together when they were served. She also found them very salty. The drinks, service and venue were very nice, but the food not up to the same standards.

    Underwhelming and overpriced, extremely slow service, our first 2 wine choices from the drink’s menu were unavailable also our choice of steaks were unavailable it took 90 mins for food to arrive even though the place was half empty

    Service was painfully slow. We had to ask several times “when will I food arrive?” It was mediocre food, music was too loud and dessert took nearly 20 minutes (it was ice cream for the kids). Staff was good but kitchen was not.

    I was expecting more…. The dishes which we chosen were very common but tasty though. The value wasn’t much with the price. The service was good but needs improvements such as the food. The restaurant area was nicely decorated. Thank you very much. See you next time.

    Don’t be fooled by the website , exclaiming the restaurant is something special . Although my wife’s Fillet was good , I sent my rib eye back TWICE ! Served cold on a cold metal plate . The Triple Cooked Chips , although I couldn’t swear on it , resembled oven chips . Very pleased I didn’t order something bigger and more expensive. Seems like a place to take your kids for a burger ….but that’s it !

    We have dined here before when staying at County Hall but last night was disappointing and considerably worse than previous. The service was terrible and food cold and poor and price HIGH! Very disappointing as had family guests and celebrating family birthdays! Definitely we not go again!

    Food not good. Steak was very dry & tasteless. We guessed it was frozen & the waiter agreed it was. When paying top prices you expect fresh meat not frozen. Chicken also dry with no flavour. Overall a very poor meal that was disappointing especially as it was for birthday treat. Service was slow , over an hour wait for starters.

    I researched dining venues for an important evening meal, choosing Gillray's. However, at £486 for 5 people it was overpriced. The seating was uncomfortable, being too low for the tables. The food took forever to arrive, a request for an additional bottle of wine went unfulfilled, and, to a man, the wait staff were not native English speakers; while this need not be a problem, they mumbled in such strong foreign accents that I could barely understand them.
