It was my first visit and I’m glad i selected this location to celebrate my birthday. My waitress Trish was the bomb!!! The food was sooooo good, everything came out very fast and the presentation was nice for everything that was served. The DJ was jamming it was a total vibe all the way around. The only thing that caught me off guard was, I made a reservation for 7:30pm and at about 8:45 we’re told that because of the section we were in after 9 it was $500 minimum. Not a problem but that should be explained upfront just to give the customer a choice . I will return soon ❤️

Security guy at the door was the best park kids funny helpful he was a whole vibe. Fine print said tables cost after 10pm. 3:45 get charged $75 waitress u had to chase down or call over as she just standing. Over priced I got a Hennessey shot $12 and green drink $10 my bill was $38. Food was a 4 out of 10. DJ was good. Not a spot I ever have to return to.

The fish was cooked in pork chop grease. They were out of items offered on the late night menu 5 mins after 11:00pm. I had to ask 3-4 times for my hookah coals to be replaced and after an hour someone finally came to do it. For my first time going there I would definitely rate it as MID not the worse but nowhere to brag about.

My experience was good but someone from the hookah part used my card info and tried to get about $700 worth of things. Which kinda makes it bad. I would go back but I would only use cash only

Extremely Rude Manager, Excellent Service & Food I recently visited GVO Lounge Restaurant with high expectations, having heard great things about the place. While my experience was largely positive, there was one major issue that stood out - the behavior of the manager, Danny. From the moment we entered, it was clear that Danny was in a foul mood, and it seemed to be affecting his interactions with customers. He was curt, dismissive, and lacked the warmth and professionalism you'd expect from a manager at a reputable establishment. It was disheartening to witness such behavior, especially since we were looking forward to a pleasant evening out. Fortunately, our evening took a turn for the better when our server, Nakia, stepped in. Nakia was the epitome of excellent service – she was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she went above and beyond to make our experience memorable despite the earlier encounter with Danny. The food at GVO Lounge Restaurant was nothing short of fantastic. Each dish was well-presented, and the flavors were a delightful fusion of traditional and Cajun culinary techniques. The quality of the ingredients and the chef's skillful execution made for a truly unforgettable dining experience. In summary, while our encounter with manager Danny left a sour taste in our mouths, the incredible service provided by Nakia and the outstanding food made up for it. I would not return to GVO Lounge Restaurant, however I would order online. I sincerely hope that the management takes note of our experience and ensures that all staff, including managers, maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy towards customers.

My visit was just okay. The IG page and story def over hyped this. On the the flyers it stated full menu however they only offered 5 or so things for brunch. And the brunch selection was not that big or exciting. I had fish which was good. But nothing special. I came to celebrate a birthday with people from out of town but it was a little dead. Per the IG pics and stories I expected a whole lot more. The venue was nice clean and everyone was nice. But it was just okay. I think my expectations were too high so it seemed to fail me, personally. But it wasn’t awful. Idk if I would go back anytime soon though.

Vibe dining is very popular & many restaurants/ lounges have a great vibe without the culinary experience. The food is incredible at GVO and makes the experience even better & worth the drive. In my opinion, GVO has the best happy hour in Dallas!

food took two hours to get to us, and the portions was very small especially the lamb chops which were mainly fat, and the hookah was mid af. Our waitress was an absolute angel and gave a discount for the long wait so that was cool

We enjoyed ourselves for my husband 35th bday and got to meet the owner which he was really cool. I didn’t really like the one tab thing but ig it’s cool when you don’t have ppl trying to run it up and not pay their tab. Overall, FOOD, MUSIC, & ENERGY was lit!! We will return to try more food!

The food was good but we ended having 3 different waitresses within the two hour span. The first waiter only brought us one menu for 4 people. We retrieved a QR code off another table so we can order. The food came out no utensils and waitress were no where to be found. I ask another waitress walking by and she took care of it. During our two hour time period for the table , there were 3 different Dj’s that came out. Overall nice ambiance, food and drinks good, but there is no good organization or structure of the waitress staff.

GVO was recommended to me by a friend. They said it was nice vibe and I could expect to have a great time. I came to celebrate my birthday and my friends and I absolute enjoyed ourselves! Definitely recommending this to other friends of mines in the future!

This is the spot!!! The vibes are immaculate, music is always good, foods on point, hookah hits… and the owner is so kind and humble!! The service is great, and the decor is real dope. Will always recommend GVO and we’re gonna keep comin back. Love the safe space to just have a good time.
