Harbourside - InterContinental Hong Kong
This is a must when visiting Hong Kong. Their Sunday brunch is incredible!
The Sunday brunch buffet was good, but there wasn’t as big of a selection as I imagined. It’s been touted as the most elaborate of Sunday brunch buffets, but I beg to differ.
The cooking stations were too close together and quite crowded in certain spots (ie. the cooked to order pasta, and foie gras stations). The charcuterie station wasn’t replenished as often, and the staff who did monitor it wasn’t very friendly and seemed annoyed. The salad station wasn’t frequented as much (probably due to the lack of variety).
The most annoying thing about the entire experience was the seafood sauté. How can someone eat a crab claw when it isn’t even cracked? It was very difficult to hold onto a claw to try and pry open with the sauce already in it.
Other things were nice like the amazing view. The free flow champagne and the wait staff were good about refilling glasses and clearing plates.
All in all is was a satisfactory experience, but for $898 I would rather spend my money elsewhere.
Great views, great high-end buffet, good service. The sea food is the value element, so not good value if you are a non sea food person. Save room for the puds
Fabulous choice of food on the buffet. Lobster was plentiful and a great selection of shell fish.
