Amazing food, every dish was exceptional. Staff were great, only complaint is location, being on busy Enmore road and looking out at a servo, but other than that you guys are killing it
Only average with only some dishes at the right level
Really good vibe, will be coming back. Did the tasting menu, it’s flexible to dietary requirements so we swapped one dish out. Great flavours and the wines were matched well.
Great spot for a romantic dinner. Food is always good.
Creative and tasty food with excellent service.
Amazing food, with a casual vibe and outstanding natural friendly service!
Nice lunch set menu, which they were happy to adjust for one of our party who does eat cheese! Service was good, food tasty!
Sensational food. We had the chefs set menu which was great food and and good value.
Hartsyard always delivers: delicious food, amazing cocktails and wine, and a fantastic atmosphere.
So so Good! Super unique insanely crafty dishes that are tasty as! Highly recommend this awesome restaurant
Hartsyard was recommended by family and it didn't disappoint. We went with the Chef's suggestion menu which was spot on.
Second visit in six months and once again outstanding service and food and drinks. Perfect for those special birthday or anniversary celebrations where you want a memorable evening.
Excuisite flavours from the multple tastings combine with a beautiful wine for an unforgettable evening.
Absolutely fabulous as ever. Superb food, beautifully conceived and presented.
The food was delicious. We had a table for 6 which meant we had to do the fixed menu which meant paying more than expected and then a service charge also added for more than 6 . I felt this was excessive
Not a disappointing dish in sight! Everything was delightful and tasty, definitely on the list for a return visit very soon.
For a fairly small restaurant and booking a table towards the end of peak, I was not prepared to wait 40 minutes for my main. Considering the size of the meals I can’t imagine they’d need so long to prepare, the table beside us were also unhappy with the wait, which sparked a conversation which was the highlight of the evening.
We went for dinner with our kids and they ate everything and loved it - we even ordered seconds.
The menu made the food sound more complicated than it was - it was all delicious!
First time to Hartsyard 2.0, happy I did. While I loved 1.0, I really enjoyed the menu and service.
Restaurant was recommended by friends and it didn’t disappoint. Fabulous food and service!
Once again, outstanding food and experience. Thanks
Lovely long lunch with bottomless wine and fantastic service. Will be back!
The degustation menu is super nice, lots of different flavours and creative dishes. The service was attentive and friendly, all around a great night!
Fantastic tasting menu, perfect amount of food. Well paired, perfectly timed. Great service.
Get the chefs menu and add the octopus! Great night!
Food was very disappointing. Their fusion of asian/australian flavours was more confusing and didn't go. The brussels sprouts was probably the only standout dish. Considering we paid $100 per person (including drinks and 10% surcharge) with 10 people which was $1,000 for the table, we all came out thinking what a waste of money for such poor food. We were told that each dish brought out was shared between 2. Then by the time the beef came out, we got told it was 4 dishes shared between us as they were mindful of the space on the table. I think it was more of an excuse to cover the small quantities of food they were dishing out. I would've had more satisfaction having Maccas or KFC.
We had the chef's choice , which was a selection of the entire menu. 3 entries came out and straight away had the taste buds zinging, the fantastic mix of spices really made our mouths come alive. Mains followed and they did not disappoint, with each dish complimented by a delicious sauce to accompany it. The 2 deserts were TDF and the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. Along with the service, the food and the portion sizes Hartsyard 2.0 is an exceptional restaurant which I would be delighted to recommend to anyone.
Food at the Sunday set lunch was ordinary. It is trying to be Ester, but falls far short. Octopus dish was a large, baby octopus, so it was lacking in the flavour that you get from larger, slow cooked octopus. Also the dish was far too salty - both the octopus and the green olive sauce.
Clam dish was small, virtually tasteless and rubbery. Side dish of fried broccoli and anchovy was burnt and far too salty again. Skirt steak, a cheap cut, was fatty and we left half. This was noticed by the kitchen and we were given a replacement mushroom dish which was the best dish of the day, despite far too much butter being used in the sauce - this was fed back to the staff.
$179 for two people who will not return.
The service at Hartsyard was ensational. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was and amazing.
The first time tasting the updated menu and have to say the food was exceptional. Taking a business associate out for dinner, we started with the one cheddar puff each - very tasty without being overpowering. My guest ordered 6 scallops (with lemon myrtle butter) to share. She suddenly announced - lets cancel dinner and just order another dozen of these. Delicious and cooked perfectly. We were advised to eat them like oysters - and that was a bit of fun.
Next came the Cauliflower. My guest rolled her eyes when I ordered it. Smoked anchovy, walnuts and chicken jus were a little concerning she said and this was not her favourite vegetable. Lets say - there was none left. There was only a hint of anchovy and the vegetable dish was perfectly balanced. Next came grilled beans and the duck - which my guest had picked. We both agreed we had not had such perfectly cooked duck - ever. With a bottle of very nice Tempranillo we couldn't fit in desert - but then found ourselves sharing the chocolate desert with salted caramel and butter toffee - a perfect finish. we couldn't fault the service or the meal and my Auckland business associate declared it one of the best meals she has had in Sydney. We will be back.
Don't normally do reviews but this place is too good not to! Amazing food, amazing staff and amazing service. Best place for a long and lazy Sunday lunch. Thanks guys - we had a ball! Definitely coming back.....
All our dishes were well seasoned. Of the entrees, I particularly liked the tuna tartare. I felt the cauliflower dish was slightly salty but it paired ok with wine. The meat dishes were very good.
We had the Chef's menu and it was fabulous! The matching wines were also great.
I’ve been to hartsyard more than 20 times. I’ve been disappointed zero times. It’s my top pick. Even their new menu - which concerned me because it contains more seafood - was absolutely perfect. We left at 8 because we had a comedy show to attend and actually returned at 930 to have their dessert. Which - as always - was amazing.
Fantastic on all fronts Hartsyard. Delicious, wonderful service and a great neighborhood restaurant for that special night out.
fantastic that there is flexibility with the menu. Service wonderful & food is great.
Delicious food happy to accommodate for food allergies -overall yum
Third time here, very different menu but loved it all the same.
Will be back!
Great atmosphere and incredible food. We'll be back.
The food was tasty. Good not wow. Some of it very nice. Menu is very small which is absolutely fine for most of the population who eat everything but maybe not the best spot for people who are not meat eaters for example. Creative menu, some interesting food combinations, well presented. Service was very friendly and much better than you often get in Sydney.
