   The appetizers were the best part of the meal. From there, it went downhill. The salmon was overcooked as was the pork chop. The mushroom risotto with the salmon was not good. The sides ordered with the meal came when we were almost finished with our protein. I was really looking forward to the Moonpie dessert. It was not as advertised. Not sure what happened in the past year but the quality has gone downhill. I understand now why it was so easy to secure a reservation. There was only one other table filled during the dinner hour so it was puzzling why the food took so long.

   Seriously go just for the apps. The food was delicious and we had to take home leftovers so that was the worst, having to eat this amazing food twondays in a row. Service was great and restaurant is located in a neat little area downtown.

   We had a reservation a reservation for 8 guests. The fish was extremely fishy we had to send back the yellow tail tun sashimi which was disappointing. Two of the guests (myself being one) got seafood pasta which was terrible. Very fishy not fresh. The manager noticed neither of us ate the pasta and when he asked if we didn’t like it he said it was because it was “probably too fresh”. That dish was around 32 dollars. I spent $100 and can’t even explain how disappointed I was. Way too pricey for how terrible the food was. The waiter who served us was the only highlight of the night. He was extremely nice and provided great service. and I felt really bad for him. He could shine at a good spot. The manager or whoever was the “too fresh” and doesn’t take of the check, not so much.

   So disappointing. Took our mom here for her 80th birthday dinner, we were a party of 8. Bad sign No. 1, they said they had no record of our reservation. Had to show them in the OpenTable app that, in fact, we did. There was a party of 10 at a table across from us that were having issues. That was the 2nd sign. We should have bailed when it took over 30 minutes to get a Dr Pepper. Food late, over an hour, then not done correctly. Our waiter was really nice, but things were off the rails and beyond his control. The kitchen and bar are in complete disarray. Drinks took forever. Management subpar. In fact, the manager we saw didnt know how to work the computer system. The best finale... waiter brings over a dessert we didn't order and wishes mom a happy birthday. But then went ahead and charged us for it on our bill. SMH. This place goes on the "never ever again" list.

   The service at Hawthorn was poor at best. We waited 40 minutes to receive our drink order. Next, we waited another 45 minutes to get our entrées which did not come out correctly the first time. I would not recommend this restaurant unless DRAMATIC changes in the service are made.

    Awful experience. Come here if you want to wait 1+ hour for your drink orders. Our food was placed at 7:00 PM and did not come out till 9:00. Once it came, two orders were brought incorrectly. I will never return here, and it’s a shame this restaurant can even operate. It’s quite frankly embarrassing… DO NOT COME HERE! You find better service at McDonalds!!!

    I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT EAT HERE! I made a reservation for 10 two weeks in advance to celebrate not only my birthday but also my graduation from graduate school. We arrived at 6:40pm and didn't receive our drinks till an hour later, some of my guest didn't even get their drinks. The food was sub par, steak and burger poorly cooked, pasta was ordered with chicken but chicken never arrived. It took at least half an hour to try and get our checks. Our server was also the bartender who was over stretched and the managers excuse for poor service and food was that it was a"Saturday night". I have never had an experience like this! This dining experience was simply atrocious!

    The food was stellar! My lady and I really enjoyed the brunch! We will definitely be back to have the Fruity Pebbles FT and more. We couldn’t decide what to order. All the options were super appetizing. Our server Cecy was amazing. She was very attentive and kind. Not once did we have an empty glass or even a dirty plate in front of us. This place deserves the 5stars and more. There was even a “piano man” jazzing up the place. Myles made for an awesome experience.

    Bar tender was very accommodating. My honniieee brought me here for a brunch date! Food was excellent! Drinks were fabulous. There was a great jazz cover playing live which was very nice.

    It’s was incredibly disappointing. The food was cold and was not enjoyable. The service was sub-par. I highly recommend taking your brunch needs almost anywhere else. Oh yeah, way overpriced.

    Got there on time for my reservation and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Once seated, took another 39 minutes to get a drink order even put in. We left before we could get our drinks because we were not being served. Don’t go here unless you want to spend 6 hours eating dinner

    Wonderful location and a nice menu. The food was tremendous. The service started out pretty good because we had an early reservation. However, our server doubled as the bartender. Once patrons came to the bar we could not get anything. After 30 minutes of trying we needed to get the manager to get our check. For excellent food and service worse than Red Lobster, this is your place. For the price, it is unbelievable that their service is so lousy. There are many other high quality places in Dallas. Skip this one.

    We went for my wife's birthday and they did not disappoint. Started with blur crab beignet and a couple of cocktails. Our steaks were perfect and the Brussel sprouts hit the spot. Of course we had to do a chocolate lava cake for dessert.

    The service was the big problem. Our server worked very hard and was pleasant, but she got no help from the management or staff! The on duty manager basically stood around and watched his staff work from the bar....occasionally making a drink for the staff, but he never came to our table of 6 sitting at the high tables in the bar. We were the only seated table in the bar area. Our server was having to make her own drinks for her other tables....no bartender that I could determine. This kept her from making timely trips to our table. Although I asked for a dessert menu, I had to go to the bar to remind them and to order and then it took at least 30 minutes for the dessert to arrive....well after we had our entrees cleared. The restaurant was less than 50% full all night....with plenty of staff. Not very well organized or trained.

    Loved the food, the music, the crowd, everyone in the restaurant having a good time. The highlight was our server Paul, such a pleasant surprise I hadn’t seen him in many years. Oh, and the wine y’all recommended was delightful.

    Great looking place. Wonderful service. Had the tempura asparagus and mushrooms as well as the grilled octopus. While individual parts of the plate tasted good, the flavors didn’t come together. Sushi plates after that were good but I would call the taste average and considering the price, you are paying more for the place’s rent than for the food.
