ALMOST everything about the restaurant is great, except for the BLASTING air con. I felt sick after being there for 2 hours because it was blowing on me the entire time.
Great ambience, great food, great view, great decor
We had the set lunch menu which was the only option so we didn’t have much of a choice
Great view and great food; Overall a good experience.
Service is poor. Staff often does not look in your direction. Forgot our orders more than once
Outstanding food and views for a reasonable price - highly recommended
Very nice place and location. The food was very tasty. Only problem is the staff who forgot I made a RSVP I’m advance near the Window for my Anniversary..
Went for weekday lunch set, was not crowded and we git a lovely seat by the window. Luckily we got clear skies and the harbour views were fantastic. The food was delicious too. Decent variety and reasonably priced at 228+. Will go again...
Great place to go as always! Dinner or brunch all lovely!
Amazing treat. Authentic food, lovely atmosphere and fantastic views. The perfect venue for a special evening. Recommend the flaming Peking duck which was the best we had ever eaten.
Great night out; we got table by the window which was a little dirty but the view was still amazing. We went for the set menu which was well thought through and we enjoyed most dishes. The service was very accommodating and happily added and swapped dishes per our request. Little noisy but overall great dinner and ambiance. I was a little worried reading some of the other reviews here so hope this helps reassure other diners that it is a place worth the visit.
We had lunch. The lunch menu is alright. The potions were fine for seniors, The desserts were excellent. The view overlooking the Harbor is great. Except the washroom is too dark.
Food and service is not as aspected
Sea view is good but the window is not clean
The food are very so so if compared to Duddell’s. No refill but a fixed course which leaves no flexibility to diners. Inclusive of non-alcoholic drinks is the upside though. Staff didn’t pay attention to two pregnant women and didn’t proactively offer two cushions. The ambience is nice but it’s super hot next to the glass walls.
Free course for kid under 12 is definitely a plus though.
Overpriced with poor service for essentially a view over looking Victoria harbour. Unless you have a table next to the window it is simply not worth the effort or money. We booked well in advance and yet were not offered a table next to the view even though one was available, and remained available, on the night.
The food was alright but did not have any zing about it. Only one dish drew positive comments from our group.
Disappointed would sum up our experience.
Hutong is normally a special place that we go to so we booked for my birthday and we were disappointed. The service was super slow we arrived and had more than 10 mins before we were asked if we wanted a drink, the food was ok but the Crab was awful and the most expensive dish
La música muy alta para conversar
Very noisy from the private room. Can hear they shout from the far end but no one attempt to talk to them. Wine portion is too small. Just two sips to finish a house wine.
You pay for the view. Everything else is inferior.
I love the chain, I dine at Aqua and dim sum library regularly and have dined at hutong before.
Amazing views and the food was delicious as always, but I was extremely disappointed with the service.
Service with a smile was lacking and not the warm welcome we usually receive.
Nice contemporary Chinese food.
Always a great experience at Hutong! The setting is stunning, the food is amazing, and the service is impeccable. Thank you !
Very poor food and service. Most of the waiters and waitresses have very grumpy face.
Great food and service and perfect views. Recommend set menu with freeflow.
Everything good, food, enviroment, location, especially love the Chinese Fan painting.
Our server was rude from the beginning, which ruined the atmosphere since we are celebrating a birthday. A bit past 10pm, the servers literally said they will take away our belongings on the table if we don't leave. Food is good but the service needs work.
My reservation was canceled without notice. We went to the restaurant to find out what happened and we found it closed. uds must be updated before offering reservations
Very nice scenery, nice food. Best place for any special occasion.
Amazing dishes and service! Plus they accommodated my dietary restrictions with ease.
Seemed there were lots of birthdays that day which made the atmosphere ’vibrant’. Cant beat the views, the food was delicious and the service was on point.
Nice Brunch washed down with copious amounts of free flow Verve .
Gorgeous restaurant visually, both inside and out. Very attentive staff and catered for our food allergies beautifully!
Amazing view and decoration. Food is really while I was expecting something more spicy!
Maybe the staff should explain a bit more the dishes when they serve it.
Great food and outstanding service and perfect view.
Wonderful first time experience we will be back....
Louder than expected due to obnoxious diners (due to free flow alcohol I'm assuming)
I would like to confirm that I went to a hutong today with my family at 12pm for the Feng Wei Brunch. After 2 hours, at 2pm I asked when the feature act would be on. The Head Waiter told me that they were too busy and that “maybe” they would start at 3pm. And that was IF the chef wasn’t too busy.
I had brought my two young children with me and promised them something exciting. I specifically booked so we could see the act.
It is false and misleading to say you will have an act on and then not.
Thé brunch acts used to be performed during the brunch time so there is no excuse.
The food portions were very small.
I used to love Hutong so much, but I don’t know how to enjoy it anymore.
Please don’t send out advertising if you don’t mean to follow through.
The waiter was also very dismissive when I asked. Like it was my fault for asking.
It needs a renovation; the tables are sticky. The brunch menu was very disappointing. One of the worst Chinese food I tried.
Good value and ambience. Taste is ok but quite a few of us can feel the additional MSG after effects (eg. extra thirsty).
Your service used to be better.
Hope will improve soon.
Thank you for the lovely brunch
A lovely restaurant indeed and food was nice. However, it felt like our waitress was not experienced and could not give my friend a vegetarian option as a main. She offered her spring rolls?? The value of this dish did not seem fair as we got to choose beef, crab etc.
It was extremely hot and it was hard to eat near the window. Perhaps having some fans could help.
Finally we had a 2 hour free flow and the waitress counted it from the time we seated and when we placed the order was 15 mins after we sat down. Also she came over to tell us it was over at 2.25pm for 2.30pm. A 5 minute warning to your customers did not seem right.
