Excellent food- good portion size. Creative options. Mild was perfect for me. My friends love spice and hot- they ordered medium- little too much for me. Goes up to Indian hot- extremely hot. Attentive & kind wait staff. Bright & clean. Good neighborhood go to.

Always consistent in serving up delicious food and attentive service is why we keep coming back to Ocean Indian. We are never disappointed. The décor and ambience of this restaurant is so serene and welcoming. As always, they start you off with a basket of Papadum (light crispy Indian wafers) and two dipping sauces. These are really delicious and a wonderful introduction to Indian food. Our foods started with an order of split Vegetable and Chicken Momo dumplings that were marinated in Nepali spices stuffed in flour wrapped and steamed and served with a special chutney. For our friends’ main course, they split a Chicken Tikka Masala, which was boneless white meat chicken cooked with onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers. They also ordered Naan - the traditional unleavened white bread. My husband had his favorite, the Tandoori Shrimp. It was a very generous portion of jumbo shrimp marinated in an herb mixture and delicately broiled in our tandoori clay oven served with mixed vegetables. This came out sizzling. This came with a side of spinach that was more like a creamed spinach. It was the best we have ever tasted! It was creamy with the best seasoning. I decided to try something new and ordered the Chicken Pista Korma which was White meat chicken simmered in a mild pistachio sauce. I would have like smaller pieces of chicken, but the sauce was delicate and delicious. All of our entrees came with basmati rice. The portions are so generous we all had something to take home for another meal. Our servers were very attentive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed another great meal at Indian Ocean.

We enjoy introducing our friends to restaurants that we like, and this is one of our favorite Indian restaurants. The staff is always welcoming, and the food is freshly prepared and delicious. Our friends had never tried Indian food before and were pleasantly surprised to find out that not all the dishes were made with curry. And they were impressed with the peaceful décor of the restaurant. We started their Indian food journey with Papadum (light crispy Indian wafers) and two dipping sauces. They enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala (boneless white meat chicken cooked with onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers) – the Tandoori Shrimp (jumbo shrimp marinated in herb mixture and delicately broiled in our tandoori clay oven.) My husband also had the Tandoori Shrimp and remarked on the size of the 8 jumbo shrimp. The shrimp entrees came with one side, and they both enjoyed the creamed spinach. I savored my choice of the Asparagus Mushroom Korma (asparagus and royal trumpet mushrooms cooked in a cashew sauce.) All of our dinners were served with basmati rice. Rest assured, the portions are very generous here. Our friends also tried the Cheese Naan (Naan bread stuffed with cheese) which they said was very good. Our server, Kushal, took excellent care of us. BYOB with no corkage fee is always a treat for us. Thank you for another delightful dinner!

Everything we had here was delicious. The soups, papdum, Chana, saag, tandoori shrimp and chicken and lassi. The service was wonderful and the hot food was served piping hot.

From the moment you step into Indian Ocean , you know that you are in for a delightful evening. We had made a reservation for 4 and they had our table ready and waiting for us. The décor of this restaurant is so inviting – the staff so welcoming & attentive – the food so delicious. You will be amazed by the changing wall art on the back wall - a huge video display featuring ocean scenes, We especially like that this restaurant is a BYOB with no corkage fee. Our server this evening was Suraj who took excellent care of us. They always start you off with Papadum (light crispy Indian wafers) and two dipping sauces – so good. You can request the heat of your dish – we all chose mild. We enjoyed the following dishes: two orders of Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Shrimp, and Asparagus Mushroom Korma. All served with Basmati rice. The portions are so generous, we had some to take home for another meal. We shared an order of Cheese Naan bread – very different and yummy. The owner, Raju, came out to talk with us – such a lovely man – so proud of his restaurant as he should be. We complimented him on creating such a lovely atmosphere and serving delicious food. He sent out some desserts for us to try: Gulab Jamun, Soan Papdi, and Kulfi Mango Ice Cream. It was a delicious way to end our evening. Thank you so much.

Indian Ocean is now our 'go to' favorite restaurant for delicious Indian food. The service is outstanding, and the cost very reasonable, especially with the option for BYOB. The food is not only fantastic but also plentiful! Our leftovers fed us for at least 2 more meals at home!
