We opted to go for the DineLA menu which was such a treat and also an amazing value for what we ordered.

Dining in front of the chefs was a great experience and it was super cool to eat and watch as food was being prepared. The “interactive-ness” made the restaurant feel very accessible and comfortable.

Courses were served fairly quickly, especially the appetizers however because it is tapas style, it was okay! We also ordered an extra scallop skewer that was super tender and cooked perfectly. The star of the entire meal though was the coconut soft serve - mind blown at the combination of flavors and textures.

All in all, I enjoyed it and would definitely make my way back to try more items (especially from the grill).

Beautiful restaurant. Very lively. We felt welcome the whole time we were there. Service was attentive. Food was good with a couple of minor misses. We will definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

Food is on the pricey side for such small portions, but ambiance is great. Would go elsewhere for less expensive, larger portion dining.

I dined alone at the counter. Service was great, but the food all came out at once making me feel rushed. Everything was delicious and service couldn’t have been better. It was just too fast for a single diner.

Great food. Highly recommended. My 13th time visiting (both locations) since opening. I do wish the service was a little more special like other restaurants in this Area and/or price point. I didn’t feel fully taken care of at this visit. But will come back. The food is amazing and worth it.
I recommend Valet parking, getting desert and trying the cocktails! Also, best lobster I’ve ever had, ever. Lol

Very nice dining room and cheerful service, but despite being a quiet lunch time, the food took a long time to come out and everything was luke warm by the time it reached us. The food itself was mediocre and below par, particularly at the price point. Overall our impression was of a place that was not paying much attention to the quality of food that it was putting out, which surprised and disappointed us.

The premium tasting menu was overly vegetable heavy in a way that was not balanced and made it feel not worth the price. The waiter had insisted we get the premium tasting and assured us it was dairy free. By the time the proteins came, too much time and too many vegetables had passed to really enjoy them fully. The dessert was not dairy free.

There was an unreasonable amount of time between courses and the service was not attentive for the duration of what turned out to be a way longer meal than planned or necessary. We constantly had to flag someone down to get drink and water refills.

The manager or owner is very kind and helpful, but it often feels as though he is cleaning up the messes caused by fundamental flaws in the menu and way service is handled. This was not the first time service has been an issue.

Everything was great. We sat at the chef’s table overlooking the robata and watched all the mouth watering food being grilled. Beef Cheeks and Pork Belly skewers were the bomb. Definitely will go again and want to try the 3rd Street location.

First, for those have not heard or been to the "Arts District" in downtown Los Angeles, let's just say this is a "transitional" part of town - most of the area is sketchy, but up pops up a cluster of a few higher end restaurants like Inko. Areas immediately around these restaurants are safe, but don't venture more than half a block away.

Inko is a really cool place - they did a great job with the build out of the space. If you are looking to engage in an in-depth conversation over dinner, I suggest getting an outside patio table. Acoustics make it a bit noisy inside when the place is full.

Food - think Asian-inspired tapas. You'll end up ordering 8+ dishes even for two people. All I can say about the food is that you can't go wrong with any of the dishes - everything we ordered we'd get a again. Everything was outstanding. If they have the oysters with smoked kimchi, get that for sure. I believe that was a special though the night we went.

Drinks - good n strong, just like they should be!

Service - I'd give Inko a B to B+ on service. The backwaiters (people who bring the dishes out) were on top of their game. We've been twice now and service from our main waiter was just OK both times.

Absolutely outstanding cuisine, super competent servers, fabulous room. This restaurant is 100% Arts District in execution and tone---young, hipster, all that. Serious talent in the kitchen and a great team on the floor. Will go back.

Overall Tasty food + Excellent ambience. Would recommend.

Downside- It’s on the pricier side and the portions aren’t huge. Each person is recommended 3-4 dishes so check the menu and plan accordingly.

Upside- Very unique ambience and they nailed the lighting. Some places are too dark, others are too bright, Inko Nito was spot on. Portions were smaller but everything was delicious. Worth checking out on a special occasion.

I like that they are constantly adding to the menu, that the supporting staff is always friendly and engaging, and the interactive atmosphere lends itself to a joyous meal.

We had high expectations as we heard so much about the restaurant. Overall, it did not disappoint. The food was creative and tasty, but the portion size was small depending on what you order (and yes, we have been to plenty of tapas/izakaya style restaurants). The chirashi nigaki, tofu kara-age, and the cauliflower were standouts. The cali nigaki was also tasty but just paled a bit in comparison with the chirashi nigaki. The beef cheek, while slightly too sweet, was excellent as well. The panko fried chicken was underwhelming as I had envisioned fried chicken on the bone; however, it was actually just chicken katsu. The ambience was very cool and modern with music a bit loud for this Gen-Xer but apparently, 80s music is making a huge comeback so who am I to complain? Also, I give lots of kudos to great service by the hostess, waitress, and server. Will be back to try other dishes.

Enjoyed the meal, wish the food was timed better. Having five plates in front of you can be overwhelming. The hot food can become cold, some of it doesn’t pair well with others. The eating space can become uncomfortably crowded. This can be avoided with a little timing of the food delivery.
Aside from that, no complaints, and I enjoyed all of the food.

Service was fantastic and the food delicious. Everything we ate was loaded with flavor. We loved the Korean, Japanese spin on the food. Some of our favorites included the bone marrow, cauliflower, beef cheek and coconut sorbet. The palomita beverage was exquisite. The ambiance was hip, modern, open-air w/ greenery, yet still cozy.

Fun vibe in a cool space in Arts District. Every dish we had was terrific - small tasting type plates, so order 3 or 4 per person. Would skip the chicken wings - but the brussel sprouts were awesome and my husband even ate them and liked them (he has never touched a Brussel sprout!). Take advantage of happy hour when a few great items are only $5. Drinks are a bit funky - they don't have an official license to serve standard spirits, but can incorporate them into pre-mixed drinks. Tasty options, just not a lot of the standard drink fare. Beer and sake is the best bet. Service started out really good - very attentive and knowledgeable waitress but as it got more crowded around 7 pm we were transitioned to someone else and we kind of got lost in the hub bub - if we had not been sitting right at the bar, it would have been hard to get his attention - still I think if we had been with him from the start he would have been as attentive as the first person we had. We went for pre-theatre dinner - 6 - 7:40 pm - great valet service that is all automated had our car ready to whisk a mile to the Ahmanson and we were in our seats there by 7:50. It gets very busy and noisier as the evening progresses - so not ideal for quiet conversation but more for festive dinner.
