    We enjoy 1/2 priced bottle of wine on Wednesday & celebrated my husband’s birthday. We were seated too close to another large party and would have preferred a more intimate seating especially on a mid-week night when the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy.

    Enjoy the dark warm supper club vibe. The Monday tenderloin special is not a great cut of meat, and a bit stringy. Wedge salad disappointing, small and little bacon. Mushrooms and old fashioneds were delicious.

    My steak was so juicy and delicious. I will definitely come back again. Creme brulee was excellent. We will definitely come back again. Service was great. Was a little cool temperature wise at first but it did warm up. Beautiful place.

    Outstanding food and great people working there. It’s easy to hold a conversation because it’s not noisy and you are not rushed in any way. That’s why I go there a few times per year.

    Another great meal at Jake's last night. The duck and ribeye are our go to favorites and neither disappointed. Besides good food Jake's has exceptional customer service. We found an old paper gift card that our parents bought in 2002, and they gladly excepted it! Good Old, Old Fashion too

    We enjoyed Happy Hour drinks and appetizers at the bar before dining. The drinks were a great value as were the Nueske’s bacon wrapped water chestnuts and a generous serving of Jake’s signature cheese spread (Wisconsin Cheddar | Toasted Pecans) on warm crostini’s. At dinner, our steaks were perfectly done with a nice crust and two sides each left more than satisfied. Service was prompt and courteous. We’ll be back.

    Arrived at 7:01 for a 7:00 reservation. Tried to get a drink at the bar for 30 minutes, never got served. Did not get seated until 7:35, server did not come to table until 7:55. Waited 20minutes for drinks after ordering at table. Was 9:35 by the time we finished the meal. Food was very good but sadly that will be our last visit. We have been going there for 30 years but it has changed.

    Everything was fantastic, as usual. The only disappointment was the removal of the apple crisp dessert from the menu. Maybe they'll bring that back someday. We've been loving Jake's since the early 90's and will continue to dine there as it remains our favorite.

    We enjoyed celebrating my husband's birthday at Jake's . The service was outstanding, we were seated at our reservation time and everyone enjoyed their meals. Some of the sides are on the pricey side , but were delicious. We would definitely return !

    Had a great table, thanks for that. Our server Jenny, while she was very sweet, she mentioned that she was new. Maybe a new person should be there for awhile before working on the busiest night. She never told us the specials, didn't ask how I wanted my pork chop cooked, forgot my husband's caesar salad (which was an extra charge) and took quite awhile to bring us our bill. We also ordered the Jake's famous ice cream sundae which we saw on the dessert tray. The dish we received was smaller than what we saw others getting and when we passed the tray on the way out, we notice it again. Not sure why we got short changed on that. Double baked potato was not impressive, the mushrooms were very good. Pork chop was just okay. Small bread and butter portion. Not sure I would go back.

    We were here in July and thought the steaks we had were the best ever. This time the rib-eye was a very thin cut and not worth the price. The trio of filets were not the stated three oz each and were good but not like they had been in July. The sides were amazing. The Brussels sprouts were the seasonal vegetable so no up charge this time.

    We got there at 5 and spent 30 minutes at the bar. Drinks were very good (red wine, sweet brandy old-fashioned, white cosmopolitan and a beer). Appetizers of deviled eggs and bacon wrapped water chestnuts were excellent (as always). The bar tender was friendly and her service couldn’t have been better. Happy Hour prices are great deals. Dinners consisted of two Dining Week specials (one steak, the other halibut), one flounder and one duck off the regular menu. All were perfectly cooked. Jake’s meals are a wonderful value and never disappoint. Quite frankly, their food is frequently better tasting than what we find at much more expensive restaurants. The only drawback we encountered last night was periodic slow service as the evening advanced, which we attributed to the kitchen. It seemed that demand slightly outpaced supply. But it made for a leisurely meal, which was fine. Fortunately the noise level is low, so it was easy to carry on our conversations. Jakes continues to be our go-to restaurant where we are assured that we will have a wonderful dinner.

    I had the aged bone in ribeye and it was delicious. My only negative on this restaurant was the pace of the service. We had a reservation at 6 we showed up and were sat immediately but did not have our waitress talk to us until 6:40. At that time she quickly took drinks and did not tell us the specials or ask us if we wanted an appetizer. I had a 4 and 2 year old with me waiting an hour and a half for even an appetizer to be brought is a serious challenge. We did not get our main courses until 8pm. The 20$ steak special my inlaws had they loved.

    I took my boyfriend to Jakes for his birthday. It was his first time going there he really loved it! The food was absolutely delicious! He wants to return there again soon! Thank you for making his birthday an experience he will never forget!

    Went on a Friday night; it was busy but not packed. Waited 45 mins just to get water. Another hour after that for food. The food was mediocre at best. Got the trio of filets, nothing special. The "oscar" version tasted fishy which is obviously a turn off. After 3 hours and $350 on just ok food/drinks, we won't be back. We enjoy going out to dinner and try new places each time. Sadly, this one didn't live up to the hype.

    My first time to what I had heard was really good, only to be blown away at how amazing everything was. The service, the friendliness of everyone, the preparation, the food quality... just everything was amazing and flawless.     Our server was incredible! It was the best part of our experience. The food was good, everything arrived hot and was well seasoned. I would prefer more vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. I had to order overpriced vegetable sides to construct a full meal, but the chefs were able to swap out the butter for olive oil on some (which was appreciated!)

    Our server was Andrew and he was very professional , started us off well, and did a great job. We went to jakes for a good steak, and roast duck. Both meals were great, my duck too!! Never had a bad experience at jakes.
