    The food was amazing. I loved everything I ate there. The noise was deafening and the atmosphere chaotic. We had to wait for a table even though we had a reservation. And the decor is not relaxing, verging on downright ugly. (Also, what's with the football player/cheerleader on the restroom doors? A bit sexist, no?) But the food . . . so good.

    We are huge fans of Jose Andres and support his nonprofit. What an amazing purpose. That’s why we chose to go to his flagship restaurant. I would say that ultimately the food was very good but not outstanding. My wife and I have eaten amazing Spanish tapas meals in Spain and throughout the US—this was not the best tasting. We chose the selection that was $105 per person to get the best sampling and not have to think about it. The next time we go back, we’ll be selective. The two main savory dishes in the end—paella and pork shoulder. Tasted bland. That aside, the ambiance, the service, the view was great. The spirits were awesome. It books quickly. I’d go back, but I’ll be more selective on what I pick and it’ll need to be a special occasion.

    Outstanding service — waiter, hostess and management. Unfortunately the dishes were not tasty. I tried to expand my pallet, but it was very basic and disappointing. My shrimp was spoiled. Manager took it off the check.

    Everything we've had on the menu, which is most of it because we have been here a few times, has been outstanding. Everything about this place is outstanding. Even something as simple as the iced tea has been thought about and made with care. I've very particular about iced tea and many places don't even give it a thought. This iced tea tasted like a jasmine black tea. It was so good. I mention this to illustrate the level of attention to detail. The staff are super friendly and will show you the meaning of hospitality. I will be back many more times!

    Service was terrible. We sat outside and waited over 30 mins just to get water. Finally got to order the tasting menu. Food was not worth it. I would go to a different restaurant by Jose the chef.

    Delicious food. We loved the two vegetable dishes - spinach and cauliflower, both made in totally unique ways. The deep fried dates were a miss, though. Busy busy place, so waiter could not be as attentive as he - or we - would have liked.

    A memorable experience .. can't wait to go back. Every staff member, from arrival to paying the check, was professional, thoughtful, responsive and made us feel like very special guests. Our server, Eduardo, was terrific, patient and couldn't have been more gracious. The food is FABULOUS! The decor is beautiful. It's noisy and, at our request, we were given a table that was more private, in a corner, and we weren't disturbed by the noise of diners having a wonderful time. They accommodated every request with grace. GO .. GO .. GO !!!

    Our second visit and the food was just as good as the first time. Stand-out dishes included the pressed ham-and-cheese sandwich, the garlic shrimp, and the grilled chicken thigh. The pan con chocolate was rich and full of chocolate. Good-sized portions means that three tapas per person are plenty. Food service a little off since courses two and three came out within minutes of each other, but otherwise an excellent evening.

    It was the first time for one of the out of town guests to visit Jaleo, but she will be back. I ordered for table several of my favorites and all were hits. I live in the building and have been a regular since. shortly after it opened. There are many consistent favorites as well as new items to try.

    Truly Excellent dinner…. Everything was SO delicious. We were first time diners as we were in from out of town. We will definitely return!!! Our server Bruce was outstanding.

    I have been going to Jaleo for over 20 years. It is still a fun, enjoyable experience and some of the food is really excellent. We sat outside on a beautiful night. Service was just about perfect. The dishes ranged from good to truly excellent. I look forward to going back.

    My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Jaleo! Bruce’s recommended the Jaleo Classico from the tasting menu, which was on point! Absolutely amazing selection. the food was prepared and served perfectly! Highly recommend!
