Regional Mexican
Jalisco Norte is a journey through Mexico without ever leaving the table. Executive Chef José Meza, who was born and raised in Mexico, takes diners on a culinary experience with his nostalgia for Mexican cuisine and expertise in some of the world’s top restaurants. From Martin Berasategui, a Michelin three-starred restaurant in San Sebastian, Spain to the best restaurant in the world, NOMA in Copenhagen, Denmark, Chef Meza has taken his learnings from each experience to create a truly unique dining experience for patrons here at Jalisco Norte. Meza’s dishes reflect Mexican heritage and tradition, while sticking to the philosophy of obtaining only the highest-quality ingredients and maintaining standards of high-end service required of the best restaurants. He draws inspiration from his family. During his travels through his home country from Oaxaca, Puebla and Yucatan, and from those towns, he crafted menu items that pay homage to its people, cultures and customs.

If you are looking for a place with amazing service and great drinks then Jalisco Norte is the place for you. Everyone bartender, servers and manager were so attentive and very welcoming. They make you feel like your are a true VIP with the attention to detail and service. The food is very gourmet Mexican food, not typical in regular Mexican restaurants. The drinks were so delicious. The bartender asked what I liked and since what I like isn’t on the menu he made me a special drink. The drinks are reasonably priced considering the area. The food is expensive with small portions but that’s to be expected. I do recommend you make a reservation since it’s always a packed house. Will be back again.

Overall, our dinner was yummy, the margaritas didn’t disappoint and the tree house table was nice. We were on the fence as to whether or not we liked the room temperature presentation of the brussel sprouts and the chicken taco fell a little flat, but everything else was delish. (we kinda grazed on several things). I can’t believe I’m about to type this (being in Texas in July), but the AC was actually TOO GOOD and it was borderline freezing in there! But I’d rather that than sweating through dinner...

Food was good but a bit pricey
We had tacos and pozole
You can find food just as good
for less at many other Mexican restaurants
or stands
Not that great

This place is awesome! We were there for a business lunch and everyone at the table had a great experience. I definitely recommend having dessert... If you like Tres Leches, you will love their version of it!

4 yr old Granddaughter birthday celebration. They had a birthday card for her, sang, had a special dessert with her name in chocolate on the plate and performed magic tricks. She was enchanted. Juan Lui was our waiter. Exceptional service ask for him. Food was outstanding; a real foodie treat at reasonable prices. Poblano chicken enchiladas, milpah, was delicious. This is a Dallas gem. Try to get seated in the dining area with the glass windows looking out onto the trees with Christmas lights; magical.

The food was very good and different from other Mexican places I have frequented. However, it was very expensive and there are many other choices that are just as good that are far less expensive. Overall a good experience.

Didn’t have a good table initially but staff did a good job to get us to a better spot when it opened up. Good overall experience and the group with us who had not been before were impressed with the restaurant !

Each time I go to Jalisco, I'm impressed with the waiters. Many are former chefs themselves and add great insights to the menu choices.

Although the restaurant is incredibly beautiful, the noise level is oppressive. On a Friday night, we had to shout at the people sitting across from us. The waiters had to repeat the menu specials twice for one side of or table, and then come around to the other side to repeat the same thing. We only had a table of six.

I made this reservation for my fiance's birthday, and everything was quite nice for a birthday dinner.
The waiter brought my fiance a birthday card, which was a very nice surprise. We started out with the queso and the Coast Chile crab appetizer. The queso is really amazing. such a good unique cheese flavor, with that thick gloopy queso texture that we all know and love. The coast chile appetizer was actually my ONLY disappointment of the entire meal. for $13.00, it was hardly sharable, a tiny pepper with dots of mole sauce and verde , slightly "stuffed" with teeny tiny pieces of crab (we couldnt detect any crab but I thought i might've tasted a tiny morsel). I wouldnt say that "stuffed" was the right word because honestly, it was maybe two bites each. barely any food for that price! anyway, the entrees were amazing - I tried two of the different tacos - very very good - and we shared rice and refried beans - rice amazingly fluffy ! and the enchiladas - so good! they brought us a special birthday dessert as well which delighted us. Great job on everything except the coast chile :) . I saw on some other reviews that people said it was loud - it is. If this is important to you - take note: this is a loud restaurant, for sure!

Service was a smidge off and for such a busy night not totally unexpected, but our water glasses/chips were left empty at least 3 times. Food was outstanding. Each of us ate different entrees and sides and all were spectacular- very authentic and the flavors were intertwined wonderfully! Will be back- thank you for a wonderful experience on our palates!

Great location, very loud environment, and found the prices to be too high for the quality and amount of food served . The service was outstanding. the appetizers were not a share able amount for two people. The main entries don't come with sides and is served alacart. Again, amount and the quality is lacking.

My wife and I went the evening of May 26th. If you’re not a native to Dallas...make sure you turn into the walking mall and head to the back near Tom Thumb. You can’t really see it from the street.

Anyway, very good food in an upscale but completely unpretentious atmosphere which can be hard to find in that neighborhood. Service was 5 out 5. Outstanding. Everyone is happy and friendly here.

Drinks are great too. I had the carne asada: very tasty, nice cut of meat, and well-presented. Sauce on the side w/it set it off perfectly. My wife had the chicken enchiladas. We also had quesa fundido w/chorizo. This is REAL chorizo and really good.

Salsas and sauces are delicioso! We will be back and is highly recommended.

An excellent restaurant in every way. Impeccabble, knowlegable service. Warm and festive atmosphere. Excellent food. Fresh, authentic, beautifully presented - everything tasted perfect. I am very picky about restaurants and have eaten around the world. Jalisco is worth the visit. A must if you are in Dallas. Great for 2 up to large groups.

I would recommend, but would caution on what to order.

I had the halibut and the quality of the food was not up to the standard I have experienced there before. Seemed very over-cooked.
