At Jeremiah’s Restaurant & Tavern in Mystic, the spirit of a local legend lives on. Named for Jeremiah Holmes, the brave defender of Stonington during the War of 1812, this gathering place brings people together over the flavors of New England. In the restaurant, hearty dishes from land and sea recall the region’s timeless traditions, while the Tavern offers a more laid-back pub atmosphere with lighter fare and good cheer. Outside, diners can settle in on the deck or patio by the Mystic River, enjoying the simple pleasures of good food, good company, and a story worth remembering.

Food and service were excellent, ambience was a little too noisy, and rest room was in need of some help.

We had an unfortunate experience. Seated next to a foursome who were very loud, including F-bombs. We were uncomfortable and could not converse ourselves due to the din. I went to the front and requested the hostess move us to another table. Nothing was done. I made a second request, but by then it was too late - we had lost our appetite and decided to leave. I hope the restaurant begins to proactively monitor noise levels so that everyone can enjoy their night out, not just those that lack self-awareness and can't chare the space.

the Caesar salad needed more flavoring, I thought it was very bland. Our waitress did not check in with us to see if we wanted another cocktail. We really waited to long to get our food. It was very energetic and very loud..

Fantastic food, service was great as well. We sat out on the front deck , could not ask for a better experience. We went for brunch and had the crab cake Benedict, steak and eggs, and the omelette with some mimosas. All delicious!

I was looking forward to trying this restaurant, but overall the experience felt underwhelming for the price point. The food was decent but not especially memorable and several dishes were lukewarm. Service was polite though somewhat detached at times. Not terrible just wouldn’t rush back given the cost and non impressive meal.
