Jikoni's menu is guided by Chef Patron and award-wining food writer Ravinder Bhogal, who’s delicate hand with flavours and global mixed-heritage cooking can be seen in the dishes. Around half of the menu is vegetarian and much of Jikoni’s produce, wines and even teas are sourced from artisan and sustainable family producers.
The restaurant is a culinary gem for foodies and frequented by off-duty chefs, restaurant types, and locals. Jikoni is nestled into the heart of London’s Marylebone neighbourhood, just a 5 minute walk from both Selfridges and Baker Street.

A bit noisy . Food is good but was not amazed and not excited to come back
Really great meal. Loved all the dishes and the service was amazing. Really authentic vibe
Great service, excellent food! Geest forva couple to wine & dine!
This was the third time I had lunch in Jikoni- it gets better each time! It is a bright and friendly restaurant when you come in. Staff could not be nicer and helpful. The atmosphere is warm. And the food!!!! The starter, egg on toast, was wonderful, the flavour of the fishcakes to die for and the dessert, banacake, simply the dot on the i. It was a really fantastic experience-to be repeated asap!!!!
Estupenda cena. Muy buen aconsejaros pudimos probar varios platos diferentes . Muy recomendable
Really disappointing. Some interesting dishes but extremely overpriced, especially the wine list with mark ups up to 4x.
My second visit was as surprisingly as enjoyable as my first. The staff are friendly, warm and efficient. I am almost loathed to share how delicious the meal we had because I am worried I won’t be able to get a table next time. The food is really wonderful, well presented without being pretentious, innovative and not just for the sake of an additional ingredient.
Everything was absolutely delightful. I’ve been to Jikoni before, and it was just as wonderful this time.
Very nice restaurant in a lovely area! Very attentive and friendly staff that are happy to explain and recommend dishes off the menu. We had a lovely Sunday Lunch there, the noise level is low so great to have a catch up with a friend. Original dishes complete the positive experience.
Everything was just perfect about Jikoni - Food, Atmosphere and Service, you name it and it was great. My favourites were the Fish cake with curry hollandaise and Scottish eggs with BANANA chutney....yeah I said it right the banana chutney, an absolute must try from the menu. Another of my favourite was the Banana cake at the end in sticky toffee style, divine! The staff was really friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this place for Brunching out with friends, or even for a casual lunch/dinner date. :)
Great atmosphere and friendly service. Food was creative and tasty, although portions were a little smaller than I expected. Would go back though
Dined here several times. Food as always amazing. So much flavour. Only complaint would be size of tables. The two person tables are too small, particularly if you plan on sharing food.
Poor food average service high price
Rubbish bland food
Food and service was okay but some of the portion sizes were so small as to be taking the mickey out of their customers
Amazing food and lovely setting.
After reading a piece Ravinder wrote about the silly row over Marks & Spencer’s biriyani wrap. The experience at Jikhoni didn’t reflect the cost of the meal at all. Firstly, we were served the incorrect menu (veg) after checking mid-meal and being reassured we were eating the right non-veg meal. The tofu was sadly rather lack lustre. From a service point of view, although the main server was polite but generally disinterested. The wine pairings were just placed onto the table by three different servers during the meal, with no introduction or explanation into how they would compliment the dishes. When I asked what the first one was I was told ‘it’s a Moroccan white’ and little else. The setting also didn’t bring about the sense of ease and comfort I would expect in a place like this. The lighting by the window is very bright and the tables so close together you can hear conversations on both side of you. The overall cost of around £180 inc service didn’t feel reflective of the evening.
Went to celebrate my son getting engaged to his fiancee and were seated at the Chef Table downstairs as we were 10 of us which was just like being at home with the advantage of a Chef looking after us and a great attentive service.
Weird Food. Not much choice. Service was 0/10. Just standing and looking at the table. Was told three time within the first hour that we have to vacate the table in two hours. Lots of other better Indian restaurants with excellent service and good food. Don’t waste your time and get disappointed. Try somewhere else instead!
We were hoping to get a better experience overall but it was slightly disappointed. The starter and mains were extremely tiny portions. The best thing about the dinner was the dessert(Banana Cake) which was fantastic and we loved it. The seating was a bit funky as well, we were the first ones to arrive at 5:30 but we were seated way in the back in such a terrible table which we didn't appreciate.
Delicious, unusual food great service, reasonably priced
Heard great things, but really wasn't impressed with the experience
The food is creative, with unusual combinations of flavours that are beautifully balanced, even when they are a bit stronger or more intense. Portion sizes are perfect for exploring the menu without over-eating. The non-alcoholic cocktails were great. Finally, the service was warm and welcoming, with excellent advice about the menu options. We have booked again immediately.
Always a pleasure to eat at Jikoni. Ravinda has again delighted with a new menu. I tried the mackerel which was amazing Love it here
Seriously delicious food, lovely team, great ambiance!
Excellent food and service. The banana cake was amazing and they catered well for my gluten free friend.
Was here for my husband's birthday and it was really perfect. The team were gracious in their approach to us.
The ambiance was beautiful, the food on point and the team took care of the special request I had made for the birthday. All in all, I would certainly recommend this place!
Great ambience, friendly and efficient service and some interesting and tasty dishes. Makes for a good evening and something different to try. Not the cheapest but good value.
Found the food to be all over the place! Bland, and too much fried foods!
New years dinner. Great atmosphere and cozy with great food.
Best desert we’ve ever had!
The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was great. All in all a lovely relaxed meal.
Delicious, unusually flavoured food. Friendly, efficient service, informal atmosphere, and a little box of chocs to take home.
Three of us shared small plates and mains. Each dish was delicious, combining variety of ingredients. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Extra spicy food, strange combinations, slow service and too expensive
Every dish through starters, main course, dessert delivered on very different, interesting flavours - bravo Ravinder & team! The buzz by mid-evening in the restaurant was of very happy diners😀
A creative menu, executed well: great tastes and presentation. Some great cocktails too and attentive service. We had all the small dishes and we enjoyed all of them.
Loved the fusion food and careful, considerate staff. Starters were amazing, mains very innovative. We all loved the flavours; particularly prawn scotch eggs, kikapu chicken. Deserts were also lovely. My only comment is that there was a big difference in size of main dishes and deserts- for example one of the mains was more starter sized (the egg in the crispy coating)- so we had to order extra chick pea chips, while other mains much larger. The pinacolada pancakes were big but banana cake desert around a quarter of the size. I loved the decor and relaxed feel to the restaurant as it was very homely. Perfect place for a birthday brunch.
Fabulous food with great flavours! Pleasantly surprised with every dish, especially the Bhel and venison samosas.
One of my favourite places to eat in London. Great food, service and ambience.
