Jordan Pond House, a restaurant and shop with a long tradition within Acadia National Park, sits on a hill overlooking a beautiful lawn along the Jordan Pond. Guests have been enjoying these amazing views and dining at this site since 1893 when Nellie McIntire, the first proprietor, started baking and serving her famous popovers out of the restaurant. Ever since then, we have been serving popovers and tea.

Please note: Reservations may be made for inside dining only. Due to weather variability, we are unable to accommodate reservations for the lawn. Please inform the host at the time of your arrival if you would prefer outdoor seating, and we would be happy to accommodate your request, pending availability.

    The lobster stew was delicious! Great flavor and lots of lobster!. The popovers were so good my 92 year old Mom had 4 which our waiter had great fun with. He totally entertained us with her being able to do this. I would go back to enjoy this experience again!

    Went for lunch after hiking Jordan Pond & South Bubble trail. Food was delicious! Service was great! Blueberry Lemonade was Delicious! Portions were huge! Only one teeny little thing i would critique was that we ate outside and they didn't put the umbrellas on the tables until we were almost done with our meal. So we ate lunch in the hot sun. Otherwise no complaints and a fabulous dining experience!

    You can’t go wrong having a dinner outside with a view of Jordan Pond in the background. Their menu has a variety excellent items to choose from; their cocktails were great. We had lobster rolls with a caesar salad and a blueberry crisp for dessert; very delicious. I highly recommend having a meal at dusk; it’s cooler and a more comfortable environment. We were there on a Sunday afternoon in mid September and it was amazing.

    Beautiful setting to enjoy lunch on the lawn. Had the lobster popover which was delicious and my friend enjoyed the lobster flatbread along with the popovers! The Nojito Mocktail was wonderful. Service was friendly and efficient. Lovely view!

    Don’t order the gumbo - I told our server they need to stop advertising the gumbo as “seafood”. In the entire meal there was one piece of shrimp ( IN THE SHELL) and the rest was sausage. What rip off - pay for seafood but the restaurant goes cheap and just uses sausage. Nobody cared, nothing was offered to make up for it. We skipped desert and drinks and went elsewhere that was much more appreciated. Go for the view, don’t expect much more.

    I enjoyed the scenic context but the food was mediocre. My $40 lobster roll was disappointing. I suggest the popovers and tea for $13, then dine elsewhere.
