   Julian is a nice restaurant in a hotel on Rocky Point. We made a reservation for lunch for four, and we didn't really need it as the restaurant was not too busy. Food was good, waiter was nice, and it was a nice ambiance with views overlooking Tampa Bay. I'd say go try it out, yourself:-)

   Overall, the experience was disappointing starting with the need for valet parking. Service was prompt and efficient and food presentation was very good but the food did not come up to expectations given the cost.

   Was never greeted at the host stand. After about 10 minutes a rude person came over and said follow me. No hello or anything. We sat, but could not enjoy the vibe of the place. They were busy, but I guess it wasn’t my lucky day, and they were not in a welcoming mode. So we got up and walked to the restaurant next door, where we had a fantastic meal. We were staying at the hotel, and decided to give it another shot for breakfast. My husband stood there for a while, and after no one greeted him, he just walked to the coffee bar and brought me coffee to the room. I wish I could have feedback on the food, but getting to that part was too much to ask. :(

   It’s a really cute intimate restaurant. Really nice for a date night and or typical night of dinner just to not have to cook. The food was great. The lobster Mac was the best I’ve had from many of the top restaurants.

    Great location and amazing food. Only problem we had was it took forever to get our main course and there was no one else in the restaurant so not sure what the hold up was. There was no explanation as to why it was taking so long but it probably took 50-60 minutes after our order to get our food and like I said it was empty. Not like they were busy. Amazing food though once it got to us.

    Just a beautiful experience with complete staff rising to the occasion. From the manager greeting us poolside in the morning, to the knowledgeable and kind service staff and to the amazing pineapple dessert bowl and chocolate custard creation by the Chef. Just simply amazing! Looking for a special anniversary date in Tampa, Julian's is it. We will return. GeorgeM

    Menu seems to continue to shrink for dinner. Could use a little more. Food is good, presentation could be a little improved for the price. The burger seems to have shrunk, the bun looked more likely a grocery store bun than something at a higher-end hotel restaurant. Service was ok, staff too thinly staffed to deliver attentive service - drinks service slow, would have ordered more had there been check ins. Looking for upping the game a bit next time.

    We went there for a nice family dinner. We had some friends in town and just wanted to have the scenery. You cannot control the weather, so of course, in Florida form it rained and stormed, so we couldn’t go to the rooftop. Let’s start with a parking, no one is out there to tell you where to go or how to do anything! Yes, the valley is complementary, which is great, but it’s always backed up! On top of that, no one told us that if you parked on the third floor, you can just park there if you’re coming to eat, which would have been nice to have a sign out or something to direct traffic because the space is so small, very small it could easily cause an accident! The ambience all around was very good. The service was very bad. We got there right before the storm and Literally was probably the third table seated. We didn’t get our food for an about an hour and a half! We sat down at 7:25 at about eight 3845 is when we received our food. And all we ordered was hamburgers and salads! I don’t know what it takes to put a salad together but that’s all we ordered . Two hamburgers three salads. Tables around us were being seated and fed and served very quickly I would say within 20 minutes, but for our table which was a party of eight it took over an hour and a half! Unacceptable. We ordered risotto which we were chewing. It was very hard there was no crab meat meat in it I don’t know where it was, but it was not there! So overall the atmosphere very cute very chic , the service I will never order there, nor will I ever eat there again! Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially my friends, who came from Jamaica they not impressed!

    Server was knowledgeable and friendly. Space is small but the ambience overlooking the water is nice. I enjoyed the chicken lollipops and steak and frites was delicious. Also enjoyed the burrata salad.

    Awesome artichokes , steak, and frites! Didn't budget enough wait staff (1 server) so the host, manager, even the bartender sometimes had to deliver food. Very annoying considering it was July 4th weekend. Don't tell me this boutique restaurant can't find workers, pay them more FFS.

    The atmosphere of this restaurant was beautiful. However the services sucks during the day time hours. They seemed to be more worried about the guest by the pool. The wait time was long as hell. However the food was pretty good.

    Food was super delicious. Only complaint I have is the bug problem. Each visit, I have to kill gnats or fruit flies at my table. It would be nice if that issue could be resolved.

    Brought Family here for Mothers Day, so it was very busy. Multiple parties made the same reservation for 2pm, which was weird. It was like 6 parties all had the same reservation for 2pm so we had to wait about 2 hours for seating but we just use that time to take selfies. The ambiance was nice the bar had good drinks. By the time we where seated the menu was cut in half due to issues in the kitchen. The waitress was really polite and the food was SO GOOD! I would go back again for the food lol

    Waited for our reserved table 1 hour and 45 minutes. Even after waiting all this time we were told it looked like we had to wait 40 more minutes. Finally after hearing a family upset with the speed to get their food, concerns about bad salad, hearing service complain about how incredibly backed the kitchen was we decided to call it a day and just left.

    Very slow and disorganized service I like to start these reviews with stating I’ve been in the hospitality business for 10 years and have held front of the house positions from hostess to bartender. Our reservation was at 1pm, we arrived a few minutes early. We were seated at a less then favorable table which I always find interesting after making a reservation. It took 15 minutes to be greeted by our server initially. I watched her greet tables that were seated after us before even acknowledging us. Her behavior was a little unprofessional and too familiar for my liking. Referring to my mother and myself as “girl”. We were still waiting for cocktails at 1:40pm. I ordered a Pina Con Fuego, it was their attempt on a spicy mezcal margarita with a twist of pineapple and cilantro. The menu made it sound fun and refreshing. I love mezcal , but this cocktail was not balanced , it came with no garnish, it was very tart and absolutely no jalapeño came through at all. I allowed the bar to remake it and it came back with a jalapeño and a little more spice. However still very sour. Our entrees began to arrive at 215. Not a pleasant presentation at all. We got a couple of BBQ Mahi Sandwiches , the chicken lollipops and kids chicken tenders. The kids tenders didn’t arrive for another 10 minutes. The other entrees were ALL cold. When the kids tenders finally arrived it was the only thing that wasn’t cold. Trying to get replacement dishes seemed impossible. I ate French fries instead, my mom had a side salad instead of the mahi sandwich she had originally ordered. A manager didn’t come and check on us our entire stay. Not to say hello or lend an explanation for how slow everything was. I’m overly disappointed I can’t even believe the experience we just had. Not at all the Mothers Day lunch I was looking forward to.

    Cool place, some water view. Unfortunately service was definitely not good. For a small restaurant, Kitchen should work faster. It took over an hour to have my order ready, they brought my son’s dish first, and 10 minutes later, I received mine. Food was ok. I just hope they were short on stuff for Mother’s Day, I would like to go back someday and have a different opinion about the service and food.

    Five people, food came out at various times, one did not get food until everyone else was done. Eating utensils were not provided for another individual until a good 5+ minutes after the food arrived after several reminders. There are times when things happen, just a little upset seeing tables that showed up 10 / 15 minutes or longer even get their food before us, this was breakfast, so there should not be a delay like that. Food was good, staff was nice, the area we sat in was nice. Price point was no par for similar atmospheres, so it was good, not great, not bad.

    This is the 3rd time I’ve been to Julian. I’m not impressed. The food was undercooked, they were out of so many items, and I continuously had to ask for items I had ordered and were not delivered. We won’t be going back.
