A family favourite the world over, Jungle Cave (formerly known as Rainforest Café) is an exciting restaurant with a faithful fan base. Recreating the Amazon forest in all its colourful glory, complete with oversized ferns, animatronic features (elephants, gorillas, a jaguar and a crocodile) and even regular, though thankfully rain-free, ‘thunder storms’. Jungle Cave is perfect for families and offer American Diner style dishes, with a wide range of children’s options which will eventually tempt them away from the lifelike creatures of the jungle and the spectacular waterfalls hidden amongst the greenery .

Food was not great. My son had Mac n cheese with mash, the mash was clearly ready mash or smash, he couldn’t eat it. The cheese sauce was grim. I had the burger, it was ok, mediocre at best. You are basically paying a fortune for inadequate food in order to sit is a decorated restaurant. We won’t return.

The restaurant is beginning to look very tired. The food was very disappointing and not worth the money. Advice- take the kids for a drink of coke downstairs at the bar or have a look and then leave.

Food is edible but not very fresh. The wine tasted cheap. Both food and wine are overpriced. The venue is nice, must be expensive to maintain, hence pricing, however, food could at least be fresher.

I’m afraid I was really disappointed with our experience at The Jungle Cafe. I went years ago but it seems to have changed greatly since then. The menu is not particularly enticing and the food is hugely over priced for what was served (£18.50 for a very basic burger and a pile of chips). The decor is sadly looking pretty tired and whilst the service was OK, so much more could be made of the theme to make it fun and interactive for the kids. It’s sad, this place could be truly wonderful but it was all just very underwhelming.

Our first visit here, generally first impressions of venue were good. Service was a little slow and not frequently visited by server. Food was good and decent size portions. Décor generally was quite tired and toilets weren't particularly nice/clean. As an experience it was ok, we wouldn't return as I feel it is expensive for what you receive. There are plenty of other good eateries in London for the same price at better quality and cleanliness.

Good experience with my children, it was my son's second birthday. Overall nice and quick service, the food arrived very quick, the decor/noise was like we were truly in the jungle, it was like Jumunji experience. I would recommend this restaurant to my friend. Give it a 8/10

Arrived at 7.20pm for our 7.30pm booking. We were greeted by a lady at the top of the stairs telling us they were very busy and we would be waiting for ages. We sat at the bar to order a drink, only 1 member of staff serving so waited approx 20mins to be served. Table was ready at 7.45pm. Server seemed very friendly. On ordering he said if we ordered starters it would be a 45minute wait and did we want starters and mains serving at the same time. We declined and said we didn’t mind waiting. Starters arrived after approx 15mins but we didn’t have any cutlery. Mains came out missing 1 main meal and 2 sides. Still no cutlery. Missing meal and 1 side took 30 mins to come so we had finished our meal before our sons arrived We sent back the 1 side as we were done and asked for it to be removed from the bill. Asked for sauces and condiments which were never brought. Server then asked if he could bring our bill over so he could cash up, whilst my son was still eating! Daughter wasn’t able to order her dessert which was part of the kids meal deal as it was too late according to the server (this was at 9pm) Overall a disappointing experience. Service was awful and food average. Note. A 12.5% service fee is added on to the bill so watch out for this. I’m happy with a hefty service charge is the service is even half decent.

The restaurant has a spectacular atmosphere and is so well decorated, but if they don’t do something about the service, it won’t last. After waiting for 25mins to sit (from our booked timing), we finally did, but then waited 45mins to order (everyone kept saying they would call someone else), and eventually the server came and said average waiting time for food is 1hr.

We booked a table for 7pm but didn't get seated until 7.30. We were then told it was a 30 min wait for food. When the waitress came to take our order we were told not to have a starter as it would make our wait even longer. Then staff were putting chairs and table cloths away while we were still eating, willing us to leave

Lovely waitress, everybody else you need to invest in training. Constantly blanked at the bar, no cutlery at the table (same as the neighbouring tables). We asked multiple staff (we were sat by the kitchen door, so a constant stream of staff passing by), they either looked confused, blanked us or didn't give a damn. In the end the guy on the next table walked into the kitchen and brought cutlery out for multiple tables. Food was bland and over priced. This could be a fantastic place, but clearly has lost its focus. I couldn't wait to leave. £77 quid, with a joke of £8 service charge for a mediocre experience.

Never got to eat, arrived at 6.25 and by 8pm after being sat at our table for an hour and a quarter it was clear we were not getting any food, we were not the only ones, other tables around us were experiencing the same fate the table of 8 next to us that arrived 15 minutes after we did seemed to be doing well when food was bought to their table but it was only the adults food and they had eaten and waited a further 15 minutes before the 4 children's food arrived, the actual place looked great for kids and was looking forward to eating there but an hour and a half with a hungry 9 year old was too much to bear, we did grab a member of staff after about an hour to ask about our order but he disappeared and still no food so alas we left, walked over the road to McDonald's and was eating by 8.10 but it wasn't the meal we went out for, such a shame.

We arrived for our table, early. our table was booked for 18.15. We we’re sat in the butterfly area, we waited a long time to order, we finally got our food 19.30, which is too long to wait with a child for a meal. There was no table checks and no one came back to offer any further service, we ended up going to bar twice to order drinks which is unacceptable for a restaurant. Our food was taken to the table, no condiments were offered. We were charged 12.5% service when the service was terrible. We were left extremely disappointed on our visit. Sadly following our visit with you, I would not revisit or recommend.

The place is too hot and a bit smelly. All the staff were walking around fanning themselves. We were on a downstairs table where there are basically no animals, and the furniture and set up is like a school canteen. The table of screaming kids next door to us were practically sitting on our laps they were so close. There was a lot of kids waving balloon swords around which frequently hit unsuspecting diners in the face. Food was mixed - good burger, disgusting pizza. Our waiter was very friendly and nice, but it took 1hr20 for our food to arrive - all except my daughters. Hers arrived 15 minutes later but the wrong food, so we waited a further 15 minutes for it to be right, by which point the rest of us had long since finished! They ended up giving her food to us for free. The 2 minutes we went upstairs to use the toilets was a completely different atmosphere - much brighter, more spaced out, and the two moving elephants were very cool. In summary - I wouldn't go downstairs again even if someone else was paying, but upstairs by the elephants was OK.

My youngest daughter wanted to get her face painted so we paid at the bar and then went over to the face painter. There was no organised queue at all so kids were just pushing in left, right and centre. I had to intervene as she took no control whatsoever. I ordered the squid starter but was disappointed to find that it had no taste at all and the food wasn’t hot. I had to smother it in the sauce to make it edible. Furthermore, my daughter’s chips were lukewarm and my other daughter’s pizza was all sloppy with half of the cheese looking like it had fallen off in the kitchen. My partner didn’t even order food as he had seen a lot of food come out already and said that it didn’t look particularly appetising. The children had the ice cream sundae for dessert. There was a tiny scoop of ice cream topped up with whipped cream! They weren’t even served in a proper sundae glass. This was a very poor portion size and not what I would expect from a restaurant that charges a premium price for its food. To say we were disappointed was an understatement. We waited for a while as I wanted to complain to someone but it took so long for someone to come our way that we had to start eating as our lukewarm food was getting even colder. When I did eventually manage to call someone over, they just apologised and didn’t offer to do anything. We would definitely not come back here and certainly would not recommend it!

We were visiting from Stoke on Trent for my husbands birthday and my kids first trip to London. I used to go to the rainforest cafe in Florida and loved it so knew my kids would too. The restaurant was great, the atmosphere and decor was just incredible. However I was really disappointed and annoyed with the service. we had to wait for our table which was fine, however no one at the bar asked if we wanted a drink. Once we were seated I then had to go and ask for someone to take our drinks and food order 20 minutes after being sat down as no one had been to see us or take any order. I then had to ask twice for a jug of water, and then again for glasses to go with the water as when they finally bought the jug they didn’t bring glasses. There were a lot of members of staff huddled around the host desk chatting, they didn’t acknowledge my son for a while when he went over to ask them for more colouring paper. It just felt like it was being run people who just don’t have a lot of experience in the customer service industry. Desserts were bought when our dinner plates were still on the table, I put on the reservation it was a birthday meal but I’m not sure why as there was no mention of a birthday or acknowledgment. I felt very agitated throughout my meal and it’s really disappointed me.

Having arrived at our table, after 20 mins had to ask twice for someone to serve us. After 30 mins the waitress came over and told us how stressed she was!! Our Food came out with out the kids meal, asked where my daughter meal was! Another another 10 mins it came out with a piping hot plate for a 2 year old and burger was burnt! Asked for the dessert menu after waiting again for 15 mins we decided to get the bill and leave. I thought this experience would be lovely for my 2 and 7 year old but experience was awful. Our adult meals which were bbq burgers were tasteless.

We had a nice meal at The Jungle Cafe. We were however really disappointed to be seated downstairs when we had booked the table well in advance. We felt as though our table wasn't reserved for us, and we were just put where there was space. The meal was not cheap and drinks extremely expensive (£8 for 2 lemonades!). We would not have minded as we were paying for an experience, but I felt the experience in the basement was a watered down version of what we were hoping for. We asked if there was another table and we were told no we are full, when its full upstairs we start using downstairs. I wouldn't have minded if we were a walk in but the fact we had booked was really disappointing.

I said it was my sons birthday during the booking but it wasn't acknowledged at all, other tables the children were having happy birthday sang by staff but my sons wasn't,also one of the big attractions to coming was seeing pictures on the Instagram of children having there face painted ,as my boys love lions amd tigers it made our mind up so they were very excited and seen all the other children so we went to get the face painted after we ordered the food to kill time why we waited and we were told she was not doing anymore cos her break was coming up and the breaks for an hour so we had 2 very disappointed children

Food arrived incorrect. Got drinks and they arrived after our food was half finished. We had to remind and ask multiple times for our drinks which made no difference. It once the drinks arrived we had a bottle of water with no cups. Waiter said she will bring them and didnt i asked 3 times nothing walked to the bar and got my cups myself. Asked for the bill took 30mins and the bill was wrong. Alhad to wait for a manager to correct it. It was utter shambles would never come again or recommend

We waited more than 40 minutes between started and main course. When we got them, it was missing the 2 main course of the youngest boys of the table (4years old and 7(. The waiter was nice and the ambiance was good…but after Paying around £300 the money spent wasn’t worthy…
