   Calle and the waiter in training were both amazing. Very attentive and fun to interact with. Great food all around. Loved the place we were sat and the music was great.

    The fire alarm went off twice while we were dining. It went off for 15 minutes each time. It was SO LOUD! While I appreciate that this could be considered “out of their control”, when the prices are at the level of Kai, the appropriate thing to do would be to offer SOME concessions for the significant disruption to our overall experience. They acted like this happens frequently and while the waiter apologized they did not comp any portion of our meal. Very disappointing!

    Had a 9:15 reservation and weren’t seated until 10 pm. The fire alarm went off for 10 min right after we were finally seated. Drink order wasn’t taken until 10:36 pm. Didn’t get drinks for at least 30 minutes and one was forgotten for an additional 10 minutes. Food was sporadic and servers didn’t know who ordered what by the time it came out. Dinner wasn’t complete until close to 12:45 am. The place was so noisy which was fine but if they’re going to have that many people there they need the staff to service them properly. While all 6 of us stood there for 45 min waiting after our reservation time had passed the 3-4 people at the hostess stand didn’t once check in on us or update us at all. Didn’t offer a reason or anything. We asked about our table 4x. When we first arrived we were told they were getting our table ready and seated walk ins while we were waiting. The food presentation was good but the food was only on the higher end of average tasting. Drinks were poor so don’t recommend mixed drinks. Stick to straight and easy shots or glasses of wine. The waitress was pleasant and attentive when she was actually standing at the table, but that was only to order drinks then food and one check in other than the payout. If you want to go to Kai go early avoid dinner service unless it’s like 5 pm.

    Shortly after we arrived the fire alarm went off and didn’t know if it was a false alarm, it was a while before it was turned off. Server spilled our drinks so half the table had to wait. Our food arrived at different times, then the fire alarm went off again and it was loud and very bothersome. Getting checks took a while, they unable to split the birthday girl’s check. They did give birthday dessert.

    Good food but too much of a wanna be night club. Two fire Alarms during dinner wasn’t pleasant. Very loud. Service team did not seem to be too concerned that the alarms were interfering with our dinner. They said it happened all the time. Unacceptable. We won’t be back.

    Our server was wonderful! She made my mother’s birthday so fun. I wish I could remember her name, this was on 6/23. Overall a very fun and tasty experience.

    Unfortunately, service for our table was not attentive. We saw our waiter four times for the hour and a half we were there— my food came out twenty minutes after my boyfriends— our waiter never came to check on us/make sure food came out ok. Food was good, but the value was not there. $21 is a little too pricey for mediocre fried rice.

    Unfortunately, this establishment is more interested in enforcing ridiculous dress codes than they are providing a good experience for their patrons. Their bouncer out front, who’s sole (pun intended) purpose in life is to safeguard the place from strapless sandals, fulfills his destiny with unparalleled skill and precision only someone as brainless could achieve. Apparently after 9:00pm, the nefarious strapless sandal gangs emerge and wreak havoc across the Plano Legacy area. Seems most other establishments have not caught on yet to the dangers posed by these reckless, rabble-rousing ingrates, as this essential safety net has not been implemented anywhere else. Party goers beware, and if you have the right shoes on you may have a safety net available after 9:00pm.

    Overall our experience wasn’t great. We ordered the 8 course omakse. It was like the kitchen waiters forgot about us. They did apologize mult times how long it took each course to come out. Took us 2.5 hours. Probably won’t be back.

    Food was great. My cocktail was severely watered down. I had 3 and didn’t even get the slightest buzz… Our server was cautious and attentive but not very personable. The ladies at the front are not welcoming at all. They made me wait even though I had a reservation.

    Had Brandon as a Server for my friend's birthday party at Kai Sushi in Legacy Mall. It was great! The food was amazing, the service was top tier too! Food came out fast, hot and was really good too! My friend had an amazing time and we all had a terrific girls night out!

    Amazing service from Kalli and the food once again was amazing. The lobster tacos, toro sushi, oxtail fried rice…best. Drinks were creative and unique. Definitely a great spot with a cool vibe

    The oxtail fried rice portion was so different from the usual portion they usually serve. When I addressed this concern the waiter suggested I look at the menu and order something else to fill me up. So rude!

    This is my favorite sushi restaurant. We probably eat here 3 or 4 times a month and order one of everything. Last night the food was not up to its usual standard. The shrimp and lobster tempura were subpar. The eggplant miso was half the size of normal - we even got a 2nd order thinking it may be better but it wasn’t. The black cod and wagyu ribeye were as fantastic as usual. Service was great. Vibe was great. Just bummed food wasn’t as good as usual.

    Excellent atmosphere and service. Wasn’t pleased with the fact that we were charged $1 per sauce (eel and spicy mayo) that we ordered- in my opinion, that’s ridiculous to be charged for a tiny bowl of sauce when you pay $16 -$18 for a sushi roll. I think the restaurant could probably afford to include the sauce with the meal. Food and drinks were great.
