Delicious food in elegant surroundings
We chose from the limited lunch menu. The 2 starters of pig’s head and cuttlefish sounded eccentric but were beautifully presented and balanced. Both were fresh and interesting. The lamb main course was one of the best cooked meats I have ever tasted- grilled then smoked for 12 hours it was really tender and tasty. Dessert was prettily arranged but not quite on the same level as the savouries.
Had the tasting menu, every course was perfect. Would definitely go back
Jan Konetski is a usp. Look out for him.
Fantastic food and great location
We went to celebrate a special birthday, the food and wine were amazing and all the staff were absolutely lovely a wonderful restaurant for a very special meal!
Excellent in every regard. High precision fine dining, whilst keeping it simple and respecting the ingredients. Big flavours and some truly memorable dishes.
5 star experience from the beginning to the end !!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The menu was original and varied and very good in taste.
Absoluetly delicious . Service impeccable . We loved it !
Celebrated our anniversary and had a very lovely lunch. Even though we used the lunch menu with wine and extra scallops (1 scallop at £18) the bill was a bit higher than expected at £200 (incl 15% service). For special occasions only. Starter and dessert were differnet with main (fish) was standing out less. House wine (2 glasses for £19) were excellent both the reds and the whites!
We had a layover in London and really wanted to try this restaurant. Perhaps our expectations were too high. Ambiance was lovely. Service was impeccable. Only complaint there was that we were pressed for time and were told a "40 minute lunch" was not a problem. We ended up being 20 minutes late for our next engagement. Food was visually incredible. Pasta and langoustines were delicious. Beet starter was a star dish. Bread and butter presentation was creative and scrumptious. Famous sea bass was a disappointment because it was fishy tasting. Venison and foie gras was tasty but very dry. More sauce, which was excellent, could have possibly solved this issue.
Having learned about Madame Pic on Masterchef, I decided to treat myself to a birthday lunch when in London and I was not disappointed. The food was outstanding, as expected. The service was very attentive without being obtrusive and the ambience of the restaurant very elegant. All in all a wonderful experience.
Absolutly brilliant for my Husband’s birthday celebrations
Excellent choice to get a great culinary moment ! The taste is very fin and fabulous
Delicious food, excellent service and staffs, wonderful vibes. Overall, this is a really worthy exp for eating in La Dame De Pic.
It was our daughters 20th birthday and they really looked after us so well. A behind the scenes visit to the kitchen (daughter's boyfriend is a young chef) which was running like a spotless swiss clock, everything gleaming white. The head chef was informative and gracious with his time, first class treatment throughout. The food was just fabulous. Overall a fantastic experience. Thanks so much to all for making the experience so memorable
From the moment we walked through the door the service was excellent. The food was of a very high standard and I am surprised there's no Michelin star yet. My only criticism is with regard to the décor. The tiling in the restaurant is reminiscent of a gentlemen's public convenience and not at all suitable!
We had the pleasure of coming to La Dame De Pic yesterday for a 50th birthday celebration treat. An email from the restaurant the day before asking if there were any special requests ensured that my partner was wished a Happy Birthday upon arrival and also treated to a special birthday pudding. The restaurant area is beautiful and the staff extremely attentive and knowledgeable. The intricate details provided with each dish to give you the best experience when eating was charming and bring your mobile to take a few pics of the food as the dishes are a work of art you will want to relive and share with family and friends. The cocktails...may I recommend the punch...utterly delicious. The bathrooms/toilets are very clean and well maintained. The dishes are small as you would expect but perfectly balanced and mouthwatering. You will definitely have room for pudding and these are not to be missed. The wine list was extensive and prices very varied. This was our first time here but absolutely not our last....my partner was absolutely delighted with the entire experience and I think he felt thoroughly spoilt by me who was paying for it but also the staff that attended to our every need. If you are going for a 3 course meal with alcohol expect to pay around £100 a head (approximately). Personally I felt from hotel, restaurant, food, service - it was worth every penny. A treat you won't forget in a hurry. I thank the staff for making my fella feel thoroughly spoilt on his extra special birthday.
Excellent experience. Tasting menu recommended. The food is refined and well balanced. There a few little amuse bouche they give you as well. The elderflower gin and tonic pallet cleanser and the granita they gave us before desert were excellent. The berlingots pasta and white millefeuille were particularly good.
I am very fortunate that this was my second visit here. I had the 6 course vegetarian tasting menu with wine pairing and it was excellent in every way. Tasty, seasonal food that was cooked beautifully. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
Altogether an unforgettable experience.
Tasting menu was full of exquisite and unusual flavours.
The chicken course was not to the same high standard in our view.
The wine pairings were second to none.
Great meal, attentive service. Maybe one of the best meals I’ve ever had. It’s expensive, but not overpriced. The quality of the food and the high level of service justify the cost.
Dover sole was absolutely delicious; nice preparation with beets and a hibiscus pepper sauce. Bread with stout-infused butter was as good as I’ve tasted anywhere. Dessert (Meyer lemon chocolate tart) was rich, with little frozen lemon bites that were beautiful and very flavourful. All the food was outstanding.
Service was quiet, unobtrusive, and efficient. Seamless interaction between wait staff, bartender, sommelier, etc., to match cocktail and wine choices with food.
Tried the tasting menu, good proportions and excellent combination of flavours
Good ambience however the deco of the restaurant could be better
We really enjoyed the experience. Every dish we had was a tast sensation. Thank you. We will be coming back soon
main courses (veal and foie gras) didn't match my expectation
Stunning detailed presentation, excellent combination of flavours and textures and the service was amazing, the value for money on the set lunch was very good I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We had a lovely meal on Easter Saturday. Tasting menu with matching wines for each course. The food was as good as we expected . Flavour balances were very good. Occasionally felt they were trying a bit too hard and the odd ingredient was superfluous. Service was exemplary. Relaxed and friendly and special mention to the lady Sommelier, firstly because the selections worked SO perfectly with the dishes and secondly because we learned so much from her about the wines . Overall a very enjoyable experience .
As delicious as it is beautiful.
Staff are exceptionally attentive and laid back. Creates a very special but relaxed atmosphere in the most pleasant way. Stunning venue, comfy chairs, well spaced tables. Not entirely sure why the waiters wear leather aprons though...
Wonderful food with attentive staff
The food was every bit as pretty as I imagined it would be, however it didn’t wow me on flavour. We had the three course business lunch with pairing wine. The lamb main dish was just a bit disappointing in terms of the meat - it really didn’t seem or taste anything special. My rhubarb dessert was probably the best dish we had between us - very light and refreshing dessert and beautifully presented. Service was good and sommelier very knowledgable. Would I rush back? Probably not, but good to have experienced somewhere new.
Went for the set menu, superb value
Outstanding food and exceptionally professional and attentive service. Would not hesitate to recommend. We look forward to our next visit.
After seeing the food of La Dame de Pic on Masterchef I was determined to try for myself. This involved some belt-tightening in order to gather the funds, but what an experience.
Firstly I would like to commend the wonderful waiting staff who were friendly and helpful but without any sign of obsequiousness - great job.
In parallel, the food was brilliant. Refined but not prissy, Madam brings together delightful surprises and complements of flavour.
I’m tightening my belt already for a second round.
It’s just perfect. Would love to meet the Chef in person if possible.
And the service is not something you’d get with the same money elsewhere.
Impressive dining experience, only marred by despite us arriving on time, we were led to our table which had not been set, meaning a drink at the bar. Had to then seek out a staff member again to be taken to our table. Initial hosting skills needs to be better. But as I say, a good overall experience.
We had a wondeful evening. The food and service were superb. It was expensive but worth the splurge for a big treat!
Fantastic experience from start to finish.
Multiple menu choices to cater for different budgets, help and friendliness of staff was incredible. Wine choices/ selection was great and even had help choosing a wine for desert when I said that I really don't like desert wines.
This is a fantastic restaurant and I would highly recommend anyone to try this place.
Great food, nice service but I was SO DISAPPOINTED with communication within the Maître D and waiter as I had specified twice (in writing while making reservation and in person in the restaurant) that it was my partner 50th birthday. They forgot do even mention it at dessert time and did not realize they forgot.
I was quite sad about it.
Other than that service was good and quality and presentation of the food was really nice.
I wouldn’t recommend it to celebrate a special occasion!
The service was exceptional and the food was incredibly tasty. Some flavours I wouldn't have naturally have put together, but really worked. Very enjoyable experience.
