   It was Valentines Night. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated after our assigned time. We couldn’t even purchase a drink while waiting. Once seated The server was attentive and the ambiance excellent. The food was cold to Luke warm and almost tasteless. I know it was Valentine’s Day night and one of the busiest nights but I expected better from a restaurant of the quality

   We have eaten here before and the food was very good, unfortunately the Christmas Eve fixed menu was extremely disappointing. My kids were not offered a kid selection, though the cost was less for them, so that was positive. But the turkey was almost all dark meat and had so much skin and fat, it wasn’t edible. The pork was covered in gravy. The food was super disappointing and not worth the price. The only item everyone liked was the palette cleanser. We were sad to bring our out of town guests to eat here. On the positive side, the place is beautiful and the service was good.

   We had a table for 5 to celebrate my birthday. The team at La Luz treated us great and took care of us the entire evening. We will be back again for sure.

    La Luz serves good typical food but a bit pricey. There was some confusion about a special the day we went that sounded exactly like an entree on the menu. Also make sure you ask for tap water or you will end up with $9 bottles of Tuscany tap water instead. La Luz sirve buena comida típica pero un poco cara. Hubo cierta confusión sobre un especial el día que fuimos que sonaba exactamente como un plato principal en el menú. También asegúrese de pedir agua del grifo o terminará con botellas de $ 9 de agua del grifo de la Toscana en su lugar.

    Muy buen servicio, muy atentos y excelente comida. Respecto a la comida ordenamos el limito con risotto, el lomito perfectamente cocido pero el risotto estaba "ok" de sabor. También ordenamos el salmón con salsa de maracuyá que estaba delicoso. La sangría espectacular. De postre pedimos el trio creme brulé y fue perfecto para compartir, no estaba tan empachoso, muy rico. Respecto a la reserva, solicité una mesa cerca de la ventana y así fue, me dieron una mesa con una hermosa vista. El restaurante se encuentra en un hotel el cual es bastante discreto y silencioso, y tiene una decoración y arquitectura espléndida. Me gustaría volver para un almuerzo y hacer uso de la terraza que se ve acojedora.

    El lugar e instalaciones mejor de lo que esperaba! Bellisimo, todo super limpio, la atención de los meseros la mejor, muy amables! Y ni que decir de la comida, super recomendado el carpaccio de res, y las carnes (bife y costilla) espectaculares! Los felicito nos encantó! Sin duda volveremos

    Service was fabulous. Drink preparations were very slow and bar tender had no idea how to make a dry gin martini. Starters were excellent as well as the garden salad and hamburgers. Unfortunately, the seafood pasta was inedible because of high salt content. Second time around salty situation was virtually the same. We were not billed for these, so we will probably return, but the inedible pasta did put a big dent in our New Year’s celebration. :(

    The set up is quite charming, right besides a fountain enjoying the San José night. Food options for veggies is limited but for my party was amazing. Service was superb. I will come back for sure

    We come here frequently. They are super consistent and the service is outstanding. It’s spacious with open windows so I feel safe in a pandemic environment, for those that also find that important. I have food allergies and they take great care of me which keeps me coming back over and over. Food is always outstanding and they have excellent sangria. I recommend this place and love it for romantic dinners and business entertaining, equally. The view is fantastic and this place is on the regular rotation!

    We were there celebrating the first piece of corporate artwork prepared by our daughter Poppy. She designed the menu cover so we celebrated. We were looked after exceptionally well and had the honour to greet owners Alex and Juanita. Service was extremely good - professional, fun and friendly and our group selected a mixture of breakfasts and lunches (both equally scrumptious) - my crispy bacon was absolutely delicious. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to everyone and will return very soon.

    Los platos estuvieron bien, los postres pequeños y malos. Un postre venía con helado de vainilla y lo trajeron con helado de chocolate sin avisar. La comida se demoró unos 55 minutos. Había un evento grande en el salón de arriba y estaba muy ruidoso. Quizás vuelva.
