   Everything we ordered—from starters to entrees to desserts—was excellent. The blue crab beignets are divine. In fact, one of our party wished he had ordered 5 plates of the as starters!

   Fine dining server for 12 years. I saw the awards the establishment received. Value was expected; no problem there. The blue crab beignets were fantastic, as was the cauliflower soup (even in 83°weather.) Unfortunately, the rest of the food was a bit underwhelming. The music selection was loud and wasn't cohesive/consistent with the rest of the experience. I'd like to give it another shot, but as a visitor, first impressions are imperative.

   My husband and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary at La Petite Grocery. We have zero regrets! The staff were so friendly and helpful. We got there a bit early and the sat us early with no problem. They even brought us a complementary glass of champagne. The food was a 10 out 10. We loved ricotta dumplings. Honestly, everything we ate was delicious. I highly recommend this place.

   Our food was terrible. So much salt. The fish was an inedible piece—tough and unable to cut through it. We left still hungry, the only thing we could actually eat was the bread and butter. Will not be going back, and would not recommend to anyone.

   This was the best meal in New Orleans for us. They accommodated my girlfriend’s allium sensitivity with skill and without making us feel guilty. The server was excellent and the food was memorable. We want to go back. The Chocolate Chess Pie is stuck in my memory. The smoky pecans were perfect.

    Third time’s the charm. Everything is great, cocktails are hard to beat. I’ve had the burger, bolognese, and this time I had the Steak Frites special. Blue Crab beignets are the best appetizer in town. You can never go wrong with this place.

    We were greeted with welcome hospitality and a willingness by our host to notify us and move us inside if/when two spots at the bar opened. She delivered on her promise and did so with grace. The bartender was also highly socially skilled and a great mixologist. Food was very impressive. We will be back on every New Orleans visit.

    La Petite Grocery is always a winner, but this was the first time I've been to brunch there. It was absolutely outstanding. Creative menu, and the food was extremely well executed.

    What a wonderful meal/experience we had here! From the crab beignets to the crawfish with beets, the seared scallops had an incredible sauce, the shrimp and grits was sensational, the salad tasted fresh from the garden, the cocktails were delicious and refreshing. The sorbet with strawberry/rose purée was decadent. The service was friendly and impeccable except that our risotto dumplings didn’t get served to us. We were so infatuated with everything else we didn’t even notice until the bill came that we never got them. They were promptly removed from our bill but sure would have liked to try them. It was a energetic, bustling atmosphere in a gorgeous setting. A great 60th birthday meal! I will go back every time I’m in New Orleans!

    Never disappoints. We had the exceptional Crab beignets .. Shrimp and grits .. A little heavy on the broth and shrimp could have been little larger, but awesome flavor. The rabbit was excellent. And the service as always is professional, knowledgeable and kind.

    Food was tepid and watery. Two orders of shrimp and grits came out well before our colleague’s salad and Mac & cheese. Why not at least bring the salad with our shrimp & grits? And why was our food already so cooled off? Very disinterested server. Could have, and should have, asked about timing of the salad. We had to ask where the other food was; and the vacant place setting had been clocked. Oddly lacking all around from service to food. Canceled my upcoming dinner reservation and will not be back.

    We were underwhelmed. Server had a facade of hospitality but didn’t come through. She smiled a lot but didn’t deliver. I had lamb that was difficult to cut and chew because of gristle. I pointed it out and she made a half/ hearted offer to get me another, but didn’t acknowledge the evidence on my plate. That put me in an uncomfortable position so I demurred. It ruined the otherwise pleasant experience. What would have helped? Her saying “ oh my goodness; let’s get you something else.”

    I went there because it was so highly thought of...except for the noise level. It wasn't the noise that was the problem...it was the completely uninspired food & wait staff. I didn't realize that ALL DAY Sunday was a brunch. I ordered the pan perdue. It was not. It was sandwich bread, NOT brioche. Cooked like french toast with some berries and chantilly cream thrown on top. Presentation poor, flavor ehhh. Wait staff were unhelpful, worried about the total bill and not even friendly. I asked for a suggestion with a drink/wine with my meal. The answer was the $24/glass wine, then followed with the 2nd most expensive. I asked specifically if this would complement the dish. It was so sour...with the sweet of the breakfast, I waited until I was finished to drink the glass. I will not return, and I would choose another establishment if I were you.
