   We visited Layla for my husband’s birthday. The hostess recognized him immediately with a birthday greeting. However, our server never mentioned it;-( The restaurant is lovely and we really enjoyed the spacious outdoor patio. The food was very good. We enjoy pesto pasta and roasted chicken. The carrot appetizer was very nice. This is a beautiful spot. Recommend when looking for nice dining options in Sonoma. We also stopped by the bar. Excellent vibe and service.

   So beautifully laid out, you expect imaginative cuisine, and that is what you get. Breakfast does have the basics, but so much more such as a Boursin omelet, toasted bread or bagel with avocado and delicious smoked salmon, short rib “hash” and eggs. Lunch is similarly exciting. I can’t say about dinner, because they are closed Monday (you can eat in the lovely. Ar, but we didn’t).

   They have batched drinks so you can’t sub out the spirit in the cocktails. They made us a cocktail with flat water when we asked for soda water. Kind of a “stuffy” place. We went to have a good time and asked for outdoor on our reservation and then when we arrived said we couldn’t sit outside due to a private event. You would think they would close out reservations on their website to accommodate their covers for the day. Overall very unorganized. The drinks came just 2 minutes before the food did. Would not recommend. The service for a Saturday afternoon was pretty terrible. Hope they can figure it out and get better! The pancakes were amazing though!

    Layla is a fabulous restaurant for a weekend brunch. We had a beautiful day and were able to sit outside and enjoy the shade and warm temperature. The service was very prompt and professional. We sipped on Bloody Marys and Campari & grapefruit juice while waiting for our food. Two of us had the navy bean soup, and then the avocado toast, both of which were excellent. Our third diner had the Burris BLT with a salad, which she said was delicious as well. The honeydew melon sorbet was perfectly refreshing as a dessert on a warm day, and the banana chocolate chip ice cream became of the basis of a personally crafted affogato after ordering an espresso and whipped cream on the side. We were there for 3 hours, the last to leave after brunch, and the staff never bothered us to hurry us along. It was a memorable meal, a delightful setting, and we will definitely return. The inside dining room is light and very cheerful and would be most acceptable on a day when the outside seating might be full.

    I've eaten at a lot of places around the napa/sonoma area and it feels like the term "new american" nowadays just means "standard american" ho hum food with a fancy upcharge. We ended up finding Layla online and saw "mediterranean" so yeah lets give 'em a try! Upon arriving and looking at the dinner menu, we saw a few Mediterranean dishes, but mainly "new american"....hmmm we proceeded with caution. . Ordered the Mediterranean appetizers and our group stuck with the pastas. Well I have to say we were all pleasantly surprised! Every dish was cooked very well, had great flavor, and the perfect amount of sauce/seasoning. The standouts were the crispy octopus in a duck confit and the raviolini. In a sea of same old "new american" restaurants in this area, this restaurant with a sprinkle of Mediterranean stands above the rest..

    Spectacular venue for outdoor seating. Weather was fortuitous as well. We waited a bit at the host table but was able to be seated despite our 15m early arrival. Keep in mind, valet is required but free. Food was good and worth the price.

    Delightful Sunday late lunch experience in a very relaxing setting. Food from a short but attractive menu was excellent, especially the flatbread special for a shared starter. ‘Layla’ Benedict was really nicely done with exceptional smoked salmon and ‘cubes’ of hash browns.

    The food was excellent. The restaurant has a very good wine list, including half bottles of some exceptional wines. Service was attentive. The setting is very pretty. We highly recommend it.

    Service is a continuing problem here. Orders not listened to properly. French fries like warm. Beautiful setting. Food when served as it should be and what you ordered- fine. Do not understand why wait staff cannot be trained to listen and kitchen doesn’t check quality before delivering food to the table.

    We had a birthday brunch on the patio and it was wonderful. The food and the ambiance were amazing…highly recommend! The service was nearly impeccable, our only complaint was that they didn’t check on our table as much as we would have liked.

    All around amazing. Greeted by so many nice people, Oz was my favorite waiter of the weekend, the drinks were so tasty and the food was exceptional. Mushroom flatbread, seabass, brussel sprouts, and the squash ravioli were all amazing. I smiled with every bite of the flatbread. Highly recommend.

    We planned this meet up spot for a bridal brunch. The area was beautiful with a lot of greenery and flowers. The customer service was beyond amazing and made our party feel special and welcome. Overall drinks and food were delicious and well handcrafted. Highly recommend this restaurant!

    Layla is by far the best breakfast in Sonoma! Every ingredient is carefully crafted into all of the amazing dishes they serve. They also have the best hash browns I’ve ever eaten! A must if you’re in wine country.

    The atmosphere was beautiful. It was raining so we ended up not sitting outside but the inside was absolutely beautiful. It feels like you are eating in a garden house with all of the windows! The food was spectacular!! Wow, every bite was amazing. My mom had the halibut, which was one of the specials. It was heavenly flaky, moist, crispy on top, the garlic and other spices made me want to have more!! She only gave me a little bite :-), I had the short rib, which was equally as amazing. We split a 1/2 bottle of Bordeaux, which was perfect with both dishes.
