Delicious food and service treating out of town guests. Excellent across the board. Noise level to be expected as we requested outdoor seating, so NYC traffic and sirens part of the ambience to be expected. However, lovely weather and delightful friends with an excellent meal was the reward. Thanks to our server and the wonderful kitchen.

Food was lukewarm and plates were scalding hot. Took 40 minutes for food to come out after ordering. Charged $9 for 2 glasses of still water. $100 meal for 2, had better experience during a $40 meal elsewhere. Not the waitress’s fault though, she was nice though slow with service

It was a pleasure to dine at Le Monde again. We were rather late due to graduation-related delays but the staff were so very accommodating and let us move our reservation to a later time at the last minute. The wait staff were friendly and efficient, and daughter was able to grab a quick bite before dashing off to her next graduation event, while the rest of us lingered. As always the food was terrific. Thanks for helping to make our make-up graduation day special! It was good to be back!

This is the first time I've had a less than great experience at Le Monde. and the first time i ordered the salmon. quite bland and uninteresting i fear. the other guests were quite happy with the duck or mussels, both of which i've had and love. so just don't order the salmon i'd suggest :-).

I’d heard so much about this place near Columbia University and I decided to give it a try. I went there with couple of friends who were visiting the city and everything was amazing; the restaurant inside made me feel like I was in a Paris, the drinks were great and the food was amazing, so tasty and great portions. About the service, what can I say! Our waitress Bionda was great, very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu! Definitely, I am coming back!

Not fair to judge the overall experience since it was a busy, Easter Sunday on a sunny day. Menu was a disappointing brunch offering of mostly egg dishes and sandwiches -- the usual. The burger patty was half the size of the bun and the chicken sandwich was surprisingly tasteless. Fries were delicious, but should be in a French bistro. Service was fine but also a little off, based on holiday demands. I've been here in the past and have always liked. I was hoping for Moules Frites which are wonderful here but unfortunately didn't look closely that only an Easter brunch menu was offered. I'll try again but not on a holiday.

While Le Monde is always an excellent choice for brunch, we were unfortunately seated in an especially noisy spot near the two, busy bathrooms. Because it was Easter Sunday and quite crowded, it was harder to carry on a conversation. The French toast was delicious, although very light on the "seasonal fruits," which was really just a sprinkling of a few berries. The egg dishes ordered by the rest of our party were very good.

Recommend sticking with menu choices that are French bistro tried and true. $120 brunch for three people (no alcohol) was steep. Ordered three items, 2 coffees, and shared dessert. Service was exemplary and lovely setting - we opted for indoor seating.

This is an outstanding French bistro near Columbia University and The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine. So it can serve many audiences from religious service visits, concerts, and college events. The food is well-prepared, the menu typical of what you might find in Paris, and is altogether a charming spot.

Food was very good. We loved the avocado toast with smoked salmon. The salmon burger was just okay (too small and thin for the bun, not much taste in the patty). Service began strong but it took too long to receive the check, and because this was a business lunch we were in a hurry.

It was the first time I had a Croque Monsier that did NOT have gruyere cheese on it. they had a big party they were dealing with so we didn't get much attention and it took awhile for us to order. Also felt the prices were relatively high.
