It was nice to get an authentic French meal. The menu choices were perfect for a Prix fix lunch and the service was excellent. There is a nice outdoor eating area but we opted for an indoor table due to the street traffic. We loved the escargot, seafood crepe (though a little too heavy on the cream sauce), and fish entrees. Highly recommend

Everything was going fine until the waiter dropped a knife on my hand. The point hit and I started to bleed. I got a bandage and a quick sorry. Nothing else was said or offered.

For a $60 pre fixe, the food was OK, not better. There are much better pre fixe menus available in New York. The restaurant is convenient to the theater district and the food arrives very quickly (probably too quickly). I won't return.

I had never eaten at Le Rivage before. I chose it blindly, wanting French food & ambiance. Le Rivage did not disappoint. Perfect ambiance, perfect waitstaff, & the food was perfection. It all made for an unforgetable birthday experience.

Had an incredible time ! The piano and singer was incredible. We had the short rib, salmon, and two different salads. All were amazing. The desserts were a bit cold but otherwise an incredible evening!!

Perfect spot for a pre-theater dinner if you are looking for authentic French. Nice wine list with good choices at all price points. Frisee salad with lardons was refreshing and generous. Perfectly french baguette bread. Our server, Jose, was informed, efficient and very nice.

Everything about our meal was superb. We were not initially excited about being required to do the prix fixe menu but there were many selections and we didn’t feel rushed at all. They were very attentive and took care of of our every need. Our cocktails were great, as were all of our food selections. We would highly recommend!

Small and lovely restaurant convenient to the Theatre District. Three-course PRIX FIXE menu provided ample options for starter, entree and dessert. Escargots and seafood crepes both a delicious start. Liver and short ribs were tasty and very ample servings. Bread pudding and creme carmel a little disappointing for dessert. Service was attentive and friendly.

Perhaps the best value for fine food in New York. Can be crowded and noisy. Consider dining outside. Nice ambiance too. The onion soup burger is a must for at least one. Wine prices are very good. They are happy to recommend. Hard to find French restaurants of such fair pricing these days.

Cheap does not mean bad, it’s just strange to fill up on bread, on the menu it says bread upon request, so maybe you missed that, anyway it looks like it’s time to part ways, unto new places and adventures. Au revoir. You see I too now have time to waist to ruin a good thing.

Food was fine. Nothing to write home about but was off put by how close tables were together while we’re still in Covid. Also they didn’t have the bottle of wine I was asking about.

Everything was good! Food was delicious, as well as coffee and drinks. Service was good, not great. Water glass could have been refilled, empty appetizer dish still on the table when entree arrived, crumbs not "swept' before dessert. Other than that, server was cheerful, and attentive by checking in to make sure everything was ok.

Food, service and ambience were good. Should not have had to ask for bread after ordering and being served a bottle of wine. Restaurant was more than 60% empty and there were at least 10 servers working the very small clientele.

Had a wonderful price fixed lunch before a matinee. The service was terrific and there were so many choices for all three courses. We had the escargot, excellent and the sauce so yummy with the baguette slices. The beet salad was fine - only beets and a good dressing. Then had the French onion soup burger and the mussels - both excellent. French fries with both were generic but cooked well. For dessert we had the apple tart and coconut cake (with cream cheese frosting). Both were good. All in all an enjoyable meal.
