Glad to be back at Braintree location for a delicious meal!
Everyone was very accommodating.
Great to be back at one of my favorite restaurants.
The food was not good. The fish sandwich had a piece of American cheese on it and looked like something you'd get at a fast food restaurant. They need to up their game in a big way. The salmon burger was average. I've been to this Legal's before Covid-19 and it was better, not as good as other Legal's, but much better than now. I hope it was just an off night.
The prices definately went up and the menu was kind of limited but my meal was good and the environment was nice.
Took my parents out for their 57th Anniversary -- our first in-restaurant outing since Covid. The menu was limited, but the staff was incredible and our meals were delicious.
Our waitress was very attentive during this pandemic. Food Menu was minimized but that wasn’t a big deal. The grilled shrimp was a bit too salty.
Legal Seafoods has changed a lot over the decades. The fish didn't taste fresh. Prices sky high. No potato offering for a side except french fries. Small portions for the amount of $ spent (whether the food was good or not). Caesar salad was good. Iced tea was okay.
Made an online dinner reservation with a request for outdoor patio dining. Upon arriving early, we were promptly seated outside but not on their attached front patio but on the ground level in a make-shift, roped-off area of the adjoined hotel entrance parking lot. I was disappointed to sit in this area away from the ambiance of the restaurant but understand they were trying to accommodate patrons with limited seating during the corona pandemic. The waiter (I think name was Miles) was very attentive and the service was excellent. The menu choices were limited and some of my favorite dishes I normally order were absent from the menu (the waiter states due to the the pandemic they simplified the options) We started with margharitas which were served in skimpy martini glasses with low alcohol content. My friend and I ordered the calamari appetizer with a thai peanut/walnut sauce. and we shared a schrod meal which came with broccoli and jasmine rice. The calamari was tasty & plentiful but some pieces were a bit chewy. The schrod was excellent (cooked to perfection, fresh, flaky and flavorful) the chef included a lemon butter sauce on the side which was delicious. The side of jasmine rice was bland tasting (so i added the xtra lemon butter sauce to it for flavor) and the broccoli was steamed perfectly. Overall, a very good dinner during phase 3 of the pandemic. When I go back, I will specifically request the restaurant level outdoor front patio (much nicer than the ground level parking lot) and opt for a beer instead of a skimpy coctail. Hopefully their menu will expand with old favorites and more creative options in the near future. : )
We are so happy to see Legal Seafoods in Braintree is finally open! Our first time back it was like it never closed
We will be returning soon
Very enjoyable lunch outside with ample social distancing. Service was prompt and efficient as we were on our way return our rental car Boston Logan Airport and get there
We go to Legals a lot. They had only been reopened for a day due to Covid. Very abbreviated menu, bar closed but we ate outside anyway. Not their fault. Just the circumstances that exist right now. My meal was good though
They did not offer the full menu, therefore we couldn’t order our favor dishes
Food was fair. Service was great and our server was excellent
My lunch at Legal’s was excellent, as usual. My friends and I dine there quite often and have never been disappointed. Looking forward to the next visit.
We sat at the bar . The bartenders were AWESOME. Great customer service . Very satisfied.
In these trying times Legal did an excellent job. Staff was friendly and willing to accommodate all requests. Patrons were seated in such a manner as to maintain an empty table between guests. Each table and all chairs were cleaned by staff members after the patrons departed. Two thumbs up for the extra effort.
Food was wonderful, as it always is. Once the virus has cleared and things get back to normal I'll be back to support Legal Seafood.
Never used the reservation as we ate at the bar. All was good.
The food was great and they were very accommodating with our toddler. The only thing that wasn't so amazing was the service. We were waiting for our food for a good amount of time (people around us who arrived after us were getting their meals) and no one came over to tell us why. FINALLY, our server came over and indicated that they burnt the pita on my sandwich and remaking it. I said that was fine and I'll take it w/o the pita. She said she can't do that b/c that's not up to their standards to serve it w/o the pita. So we had to continue to wait a little longer for my meal.....
Legal's Seafood is one of our favorite restaurants. We had a wonderful time at the Braintree location.
Not up to usual Legal standards. Trout was lukewarm. Seafood casserole bland. It used to be reliably good. This dinner mediocre at best.
Food was average at least, actually I should say below average. Expected much better for $180 meal. Service was awfully slow. Took forever for everything. Wife asked for lemon for her fish and it didn’t get to the table till we were almost finished with our meal.
We were seated in a small booth by the bar. The restaurant was mostly empty. The management was on top of everything. Waiter had great personality but forgot a few things. They did not mark off our Open Table reservation despite checking in.
This is one of the best restaurants in New England.
Legal has become our go to restaurant to celebrate birthdays. Every fish dish is excellent and the wait staff is attentive and personable. Will be back!
The food was scrumptious as always. I did not like where we were seated because it was right next to where the servers rang up their bills. So I was greeted to conversations I didn’t want to hear. I prefer the old place so this place is nice as well.
Our server was amazing... even with such a busy rush that night because of the special she handled everything flawlessly.
She anticipated all of our needs and reminded me why I need to come back Legal's more often.
Had a wonderful time at legals Braintree , the 2 lobsters for 30$ was a great deal. Lobsters were a good size and our drinks were great. We waited o long time for our drinks. Otherwise a fun night.
Due to a special dining event, our service was out of order (the main special entree came out before drinks and apps) but overall great food and service.
Had issue with hostesses , my brother and wife came in and gave my name for the reservation and was told there was none.I used my name and was seated and told they would look out for my brother.they came 2 minutes after us but waited 15 minutes until I came out looking for them.I was going to wait for them but hostesses said to go sit down and get settled.
Everything was wonderful ..we had the leap year lobster special which we split
Although it came with one corn on the Cobb so we asked for another...when we received our bill the charge for one ear of corn was 5 dollars and 50 cents...I found that to be ridiculous...which intern put a damper on our wonderful meal ..with almost 700 lobster being served you would think an ear of corn would be complementary....this will make me hesitate the next time they run a special.
Enjoyed the lobster special!!!
GREAT RESTAURANT,GREAT FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE.LIKE TOO MANY PLACES 2 PEOPLE GET THE WORST SEATING. THEY TRY TO SIT YOU AT A TABLE AGAINST A WINDOW THAT IS SO SMALL IT SHOULD BE FOR PLAYING CARDS NOT TRYING TO HAVE A VERY EXPENSIVE DINNER OR A SMALL BOOTH IN THE BAR THAT HAS A CONTINUOUS FLOW OF PEOPLE WALKING PAST YOU LOOKING FOR A SEAT AT THE BAR. ASK FOR A DIFFERENT TABLE AND YOU MAY GET IT BUT NOT WITHOUT AN ATTITUDE THAT ASKING FOR AN ADULT SIZED TABLE FOR 2 PEOPLE IS ASKING FOR A LOT.
This was a nice event for leap year having the twin lobsters. It would be nice to have this more often for other events/ holidays. My friend and I enjoyed it and thought it was a fun time.
Food was exquisite as usual!
Very good, we enjoyed the $29.00 deal that included two lobsters!
we were seated before our reservation. the server was excellent and very attentive to our heeds. The price was excellent for the twin lobsters that we ordered. i recommend this LSF for your next lunch or dinner
Never miss the leap year lobster special. It was very busy and service was good though not optimal. Meal and value were outstanding.
Very sad that Legal Seafoods has delicious side options, such as the potatoes, polenta, and jasmine rice, and what we received for this "deal" of two lobsters and two sides was two tiny lobsters with a dollop of bad coleslaw and corn on the cob about the size of a thumb and as dry as a desert.
Always a great meal at Legal in Braintree. I had the artic char and it was cooked perfectly. Our server was on point. She was friendly but not overly so. Made some great recommendations. I highly recommend Legal!
