The food, setting and service was very good. We enjoyed our evening very much and will definitely go back!
Always fun. Best cocktails in town and good eats. Make sure to make a reservation!
Fun time - nice atmosphere with different cocktails to taste. However, the martini was quite small and the cocktails as well since most of the drink was ice. The short ribs were tasty but had a lot of fat and grizzle on them. Everyone enjoyed the duck dish, brussels sprouts, and the smores dessert.
Love the restaurant, drinks excellent, wish portions more generous for the price.
The service and food were very good. We had a party of 8 and ended up seating way in the back where it was a little noisy plus it was very warm.
Good experience. Will definitely return
Drinks were the best I’ve ever had. Generous portions and absolutely delicious. Food was awesome as well. But by far the best element of this establishment is the service. Excellent knowledgeable wait staff and manager. What a great experience.
A little too hipster for Hudson, MA - servers were super-pretentious.
After reading some reviews about what a fun and hip place this was to go too, I planned a surprise birthday celebration here for a friend and there were a total of 5 in our party. I was really excited to try something new and I was especially excited in anticipating the fun banter that would go along with the birthday girl (who is dippy) and the person who slides open the door to the secret speakeasy. I read you would be asked a few questions about why you were there and that you were suppose to say "you were there to see the shoe cobbler because your shoes were in need of repair." Well there was absolutely none of that. Zero. Instead, a guy slid open the door and asked us of we had a reservation. And I said yes. Then he saw that on my reservation I said it was a birthday celebration and so he asked us to point out who the birthday person was. So in my mind I am thinking, "OK, well now there must be a second door to where all of the fun shenanigans will go on," but nope, we just got seated at our table. We were all so disenchanted and let down. Really, there was NOTHING speakeasy about the place, except that it was very dark in there. We tried not to be disappointed and made the best of it. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about drink recommendations and most of the food was very delicious - waffle fries were cold and limp, not crisp at all. At the end of dinner, I was thinking that the waitress would be bringing some sort of birthday celebration to the table. Notta. Nothing, not even after spending $300+ there and not including the tip. What was the point of having us point out who the birthday girl was if her birthday was not even acknowledged???? So now I feel like I have to have a make up birthday celebration for her, because this goes down as being the most lame speakeasy in history.
My go to place for delicious cocktails and equally tasty food. The venue is ideal for a small group or a romantic date.
Always a fun place to go live bringing friends over here from out of town ❤️
Service was excellent. Love the greater, he did so well relating to customers, in particular one who came one night too late.
It was a bit dark, two lights out over the bar.
Good food, great drinks@
Awesome all around! Amazing bartenders and chefs! Great experience.
Cool place with great cocktails. Food was not the highlight. Spent a lot on Steak Frites and Scallops which was subpar and extremely salty. If you want a cool vibe with creative drinks highly recommended just plan to go somewhere else for dinner.
We have been to Less Than Greater Than many times and were very disappointed with this experience. Our server paid very little attention to us and when he did, most of what he said was nonsense. We ordered cocktails and a cheese plate then, a long while later when the server finally returned, we ordered an entree to share with a bottle of wine. When the entree arrived, it was tiny; we thought it was half the portion, but it was not. We also split a dessert. After finishing that, we asked to take the rest of our bottle of wine home and were informed that the restaurant did not offer that as an option. This would have been nice to know when we ordered it! We have not been to a restaurant that does not allow you to take the rest of your wine in many years.
Amazing customer service! Great drink recommendations and very knowledgeable!
Unique and wonderful experience
The cocktails are great, from the interactions with the bartender to the preparation and then drinking. Wonderful cocktail experience. The food on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired. We had the chips and dip for starters, which were just fine. For our main course, my wife and I both ordered the Steak & Frites. I ordered mine rare and it was cooked to perfection. The problem is the quality of the beef and the excessive seasoning. Very tough and heavily overseasoned and frankly not enjoyable. For this price ($30 each), I expect much more. Go for the drinks. Order food with caution.
Fun place. All staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back, for sure!
Fabulous menu, top notch food and desserts, especially the unique boozy ice cream drinks. Menu changes often so worth returning more often.
What a great meal as always. The manager, Allen, was so friendly and attentive. We did the combo with the escape room across the street. A perfect 12th anniversary date!
Service and quality of cocktails were top notch however the quality to price ratio of the food was only fair. We understand and support paying more for locally sourced produce and proteins but compared to other places offering comparable dishes this establishment was way off the mark to the point we'll never order food again. We'll definitely go back for cocktails but that's it.
The service was beyond pretentious and when the bill arrived it included a $1.00 charge along with the description, “Large Block” under the Bourbon line item.
Yes, $1.00 for a block of ice that I requested. Apparently, regular cubes are free but large cubes are not.
The waiter agreed to remove the charge, but not without failing to caveat his generosity by saying, “we do have labor costs to cover”.
Table for 2 was actually open seating at the bar no table. Would have been good to know that ahead. Very loud. Wine choice and old fashion were excellent as was the salad and salmon. The roasted cauliflower was disappointing. Really bad execution. The cauliflower was not fully cooked l, certainly not roasted and it really came off as a soup as if the recipe had not had time to cook. Not impressed by the speakeasy premise.
Cool Place. Like the speakeasy aspect. Food was very good but expensive for the portion size. Drinks were awesome but $15 is steep for Hudson. All around cool
place just pricey.
Food was expensive and terrible.
Awesome gem. Will be back - soon!
Very legit cocktail bar in a place I wouldn’t expect to find one. These folks have some serious chops!
Fantastic! Definitely will come back. This place is truly a hidden gem. Perfect for a date night or outing with friends.
Terrible vegetarian options
There is nothing I don't like about this place. The cocktails are fabulous: well-crafted, visually appealing, and very tasty. The food is also very good, but I stop in primarily for the drinks. Typically, I sit at the bar, alone or with friends. Love the vibe and the fact there's no TV to distract from the ambiance. If you haven't been, and enjoy a good drink, you need to go.
Disappointing. Smokey salmon odor in the air, irritating eyes. Food was mediocre. Spoon didn’t come until almost done with meal. Too expensive for quality of food.
Went for a bachelorette dinner. Had reservations for 5. We were seated at a table for 4 so one side had three people squished together so as not to disturb the next table. She wasn’t technically even in front of the table. Ordered the sirloin. Asked for medium. They said it only comes medium rare and I said fine. Got it and it was medium well. For $30 would expect it to be cooked correctly. Very loud as well couldn’t hear the conversation unless you leaned closer.
What a phenomenal restaurant!! Exciting, eclectic space. Well decorated and fun. The staff was amazing, knowledgeable and friendly and the food was off the hook delicious!!! I highly recommend this place . All around excellent experience!
This place is terrific, unique, top quality artisinal food and drinks every time.
Such a cool place to take friends! Whenever I have a guest come from out of town, I always make it a point to take them to Less Than Greater Than. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the drinks are great, and the atmosphere is unique (in all the best ways).
A wonderful spot- equally good for date night or meeting friends. Outstanding food, drinks, service. It doe get crowded, so reservations are essential. Highly recommend.
What an amazing dinner we enjoyed! For appetizers, we sampled the homemade chips and dip, as well as the vegetable medley. The vegetables were fresh and interesting, but the dip was so unusual we practically had to lick the plate to avoid leaving any behind. For dinners we enjoyed both the duck and and scallops. Each flavor was so unique we couldn't decide which we preferred. We skipped dessert only because we hated to lose the wonderful dinner flavors that were still lingering. Frankie was a very attentive waiter, and the service could not have been better. What a treat!
The food is expensive and the portions are small, but delicious nonetheless. I ordered the scallops for instance and received only three scallops. The meal definitely left me wanting more! Good thing the restaurant is located within an ice cream shop and a sundae was able to fill me belly! =P
