Livia Italian Eatery-Elmhurst
Gato was amazing & the food is always outstanding !
3rd time here definitely will be my last just not impressed I’m not sure why people like it or think it’s the greatest thing but there are much better “Italian” restaurants in Elmhurst that blows this place away!!! Very generic and bland
Tasty restaurant; it “livia” up to its good reputation!
our waitress was entertaining and the food was very good. felt rushed to leave as they seemed to want to turn the tables. We arrived at 5 and by 630 they stopped filling drinks. wanted to collect the payment while i was still eating my desert. prior to that all was good.
Food was well prepared.Fresh.
Great restaurant in downtown Elmhurst! Loved everything we tried from the craft cocktails to the lamb ragu gnocchi!
Our server could not have been better!!!!. From the moment we sat down until we got up to leave. Gato was the best!!!!! Ask to be seated in his section!!!
Celebrated our anniversary at Livia on a Tuesday. Loved the half price wine option. Food is always great. We get the zucchini fritters every time we visit. We’ll be back.
Livia creates unusual combinations in their dishes. I had a gnocchi special with asparagus, corn, and black truffles. It was spectacular. The server actually brought the 'regular' gnocchi from the menu first. He quickly replaced it with the special. My boyfriend had the salmon salad. It was VERY good. The dressing was delicious and the the greens/ vegetables very fresh.
We started with the lobster bisque; it was excellent....very rich and flavorful. The arancini was also amazing...perfectly cooked, with just the right crispness!
The staff was very friendly and attentive.
The first table the hostess sat us at was right by the door and was very cold. Our server quickly offered a warmer, more cozy table.
Wonderful place and service. Roger took very good care of us and was quite helpful. The Burrata was excellent, calamari good and cheese and prosciutto plate perfect in quantities and flavors. Can't wait to go back.
Three drinks we tried ordering were not available. No Corona, no root beer or Dr Pepper and no grapefruit juice for a sea breeze cocktail. The food was just ok, same with the service. Chairs were uncomfortable
Great food and wonderful service.
Had dinner with my cousin for our local restaurant week and it was so good. I already liked Livia for their charcuterie skills but their burrata appetizer and Frutti de Mari entree was divine! The seafood pasta had a nice kick and we couldn’t stop eating it! It was a cold night and we were totally comforted by our four courses. The kale and squash salad was also quite good, I normally don’t need the sweetness of dried cranberries and raisins in a salad but there was just a small amount. The fried dough was super fresh and light and the perfect ending to our weeknight and catch-up session meal. Thank you!
We been here a few times now. Sometimes just a dinner for 2 and most recently with a party of 6. We’ve tried different appetizers, flatbreads and entrees each time we go. The food, drinks and service never disappoint.
I love Livia's food and overall atmosphere; however, it is very loud & busy & our table was near door and thus the exit path for everyone seated in the dining room. Next time will be sure to ask to be seated in rear or a booth.
Great food, great service. Piano was playing by the bar. Great environment
Excellent food. Had the bolognese and tomato bisque soup. It was probably the best I've had. The other members of the party had great entrees too- chicken marsala and the grilled salmon. Service was OK. Ambiance was cozy. Would definitely return.
Very loud! Very cheap with the food, ie, bread & butter
Great staff, food, drinks. We shared apps and bottle of wine after cocktails. The staff were really responsive, helpful and respectful of our conversation. I would definitely go again when in Elmhurst.
Food and service were excellent. I would hope something could be done about the noise level. My party was moved to a corner which helped a very little bit.
Went for an early dinner and was wowed by the experience! Fantastic food, attentive service, and great overall experience. Thank you Kaitlyn for the excellent service!
Good food, excellent service.
It was a great experience. The food is fantastic and its now one of my favorites in Elmhurst!
Excellent service, excellent food, and great atmosphere. We really enjoy coming here with our family!
Our server seemed overwhelmed but the food was good and it’s a nice meal out in a family friendly environment.
Delicious food . Suzie was a friendly attentive server. Prices are good too for such quality fresh foods.
Maybe the servings are smaller so the prices are lower but I'd rather not take home leftovers and pay less; so we can eatout more at places with great tasting food.
Service and food were both excellent!!
My dinner from the grains/greens selections was AMAZING. Healthy, creative, beautiful and tasty all at once!
Mediocre food, server was terrible, could have cared less about actually serving. Wine list less than desirable.
Barebones dinner service in noisy, tight quarters. Not exactly the menu you'd expect from an American-Italian place, but the eggplant parmesan with linguini was very good. Strangely lacking in options for starter salads and no complimentary bread and oil service. Seems we had to bother our inattentive waitress for every little thing (even just to see a dessert menu).
Zuchini cheese fritters were amazing. The risotto and short rib had a wonderful blend of flavors. The noise level made conversation difficult with a party of six.
Food was excellent. Made a special dish for me!!
Nice lunch place. Can be a bit loud. Great service. Certainly top tier for Elmhurst.
Absolutely loved the Lamb Ragu! Goat cheese and beet salad is always a favorite.
Waitress broke our cork, so we ingested some pieces, but the food made up for that.
Good food and service
Loved it! Great short rib risotto and delicious gelato.
Food is great, it’s delicious and VERY reasonably priced.
My only issue is service. It’s slow and they don’t check on you enough. Had to ask 3 different people for creamer and finally the bus guy listened and brought it out. Maybe hire a few more staff so tables are taken care of in a timely fashion. Overall, happy and will go again.
Really disappointing experience last night at Livia. Went there for a date night and after we ordered our food and drinks our waitress never came back to the table. After our meal arrived we flagged her down to order another drink which never came! We finally ended up telling her to cancel it and she comped our original drinks which we appreciated; however, it was not so crowded that she shouldn’t have been able to get us drinks. We likely would’ve each ordered three drinks with our meal and ended up only getting one because of inattentive service and went to another establishment to finish our night.
nice selection and very good food, nice atmosphere,
