Main complaint was that it was so dark we couldn’t even see our food/menu. Food was good, service was good. For the amount we spent I don’t feel I should of had to ask the serve to fox out wobbley table.

I had the local oysters at happy hour. If you like oysters I would suggest having a different type. The gumbo was good. It was spicier than I expected. The scallops with mushrooms and sweet potatoes were the best scallop entree I’ve had. I’d go back just for that. For cocktails I had the secret garden, I did’t like it at all. Theres also a martini style cocktail, Mars something, it was good. Sweeter than I like. Overall, I’d go back and I do recommend.

The staff was fairly inattentive. Something fell into my husband's drink and we requested if it could be replaced. They just tried to fish out the particulant and brought back the same glass with other floaters in it. He ordered a steak medium rare and it was brought out well done almost to the point of burnt. The drinks are overpriced and mediocre. It's not worth the price tag. I probably won't ever go back.

Once again Loch Bar-Houston has not disappointed me. My wife and I visited this location for date night and now we’ve brought the family to celebrate her birthday. You have not lived until you’ve had their Lobster Roll, their brussels sprouts, seafood omelette, and of course fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. Their servers are STELLAR.

One of our favorite late night dinner spots. We typically only come here for raw oysters (always fresh here) and drinks (old fashions are well balanced) but we also had dinner this time. I had the scallops (3 pieces) for my entree (appetizer sized if you’re a big eater it’s not enough) and they were perfectly cooked. My husband had the fish and chips which he loved.

The fish & chips were light, crisp and wonderfully piping hot. The gravy on steak frite was the most flavorful, delicious au poivre sauce we have ever had. However, we ordered the steak medium-rare but it came out medium-well. We will be returning and looking forward to trying other menu items.

I waited 20 minutes for a waiter or waitress. My guest and I got up and found another table and a new waitress. The next waitress was great we believe the first one was overbooked. The food was pretty good and the manager took care of one item on the bill. Overall a good experience.

I eat at the Loch Bar often and I’ve never had any issues. I think this place is a hidden gem of Houston when it comes to class and high end foods. The ambience is always welcoming as soon at you walk in the building. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone (I’ve had several friends try this place out because of me of course and they loved it). This a perfect place for any occasion birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement, promotion, etc.

Our server Denzel was fabulous. If I were only rating his service, I would have given it a 5. The problem was with the bar. They were slow with getting our drinks out for not being very crowded when we were there. They were also out of a few things we tried to order, but offered substitutions. Ended up being a non-issue in that area. Food was great as usual, except for the multilayered cake. The flavor was okay, but it was very dry. We mentioned it to our server and it seems to be a known issue. Either find a solution or take it off the menu. The minor issues won’t keep us from returning because we love Loch Bar. After all, they have the best crab cakes on the planet!

We went to Loch Bar during Restaurant Weeks month for our 10 year wedding anniversary. I ordered off the regular menu and my husband ordered off the HRW menu. Everything we ordered was amazing! The burrata salad was the highlight for me but the redfish was also quite delicious. The grits were so creamy and perfectly cooked! I had never had a lobster roll before and the bread was super crisp and the lobster was tender and buttery. The chocolate mousse was the stand out dessert. We highly recommend!

We usually eat same dish all the time. Their lobster roll was excellent. This time we ordered restaurant week meal included lobster roll. Lobster roll wasn’t good as before, I told my husband the taste is not the same, I wish I could send it back. Unfortunately That caused me very bad experience .

The crab cakes were phenomenal. The oysters were lightly fried and breaded, so I could actually taste the oyster. The bread was so light and flavorful. I've never had a hush puppy like I experienced at Loch Bar. Loch Bar left me wanting more.

This was our first time at Loch Bar. It felt like a modern day version of a Supper Club. Service was perfect in that we were allowed to pace our own progress through the evening which included cocktails, appetizers, a full meal and more cocktails afterward. All the sound level was high, we were able to converse with our friends, even after the live music went on stage at 9:00 pm. With the quality of the food and the utility of the ambiance, we will be back.

I’ve eaten at at Loch Bar many times before, usually on a Saturday night. I’ve always enjoyed the food, ambiance and good service. This time our server was mostly MIA, we had two couples next to us get drunk an yell at each other for almost 1 hour with no action from the staff, I was served a still- frozen loaf of bread 25 minutes after requesting it, and it took 20 minutes & 2 requests to get the check when ready to leave. Very disappointed.
