Los Tamarindos a Farm-to-Table Restaurant is located in San José del Cabo, at the tip of México's Baja Peninsula, only a mile from the Sea of Cortez. The farm and Restaurant occupied the side of a former 19th-century sugar cane plantation. In 2003, owner and excecutive chef Enrique Silva spearheaded the property's return to agriculture, this time becoming a sustainable farm, one if the first in the area.

A true gem! The experience we were looking to have when we went to Flora Farms earlier in the trip :) We didn't plan to come here - it was a last minute decision after we decided to extend our trip for one day. We showed up with no expectations and were so pleasantly surprised by the setting, ambiance, and service. Arrive before your reservation and take a walk around the farm grounds with a glass of wine. A dreamy experience!

Beginning to end it was a fabulous experience. The sea bass was excellent and the Cornish hen a very close second. The setting is phenomenal. The was the very best!

Simply an outstanding farm to table restaurant. Competing with bigger names, Los Tamarindos always gets it right in every respect. The food is excellent, unique, delicious and fresh. The place is beautiful and tranquil without needing to try to create ambience and the servers are outstanding, warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Love it.

Worth the drive to find this hidden gem - could taste the freshness in everything we ate. Only complaint was that they were out of the chicken when we went but look forward to trying it the next time!

Favorite restaurant in Cabo - BY FAR! Food was so fresh and delicious it reminded me of Tuscany or my grandmothers kitchen. Service was amazing and our waiters recommendations were perfect!

I really was excited about trying this place. The place itself was beautiful, the view enjoyable while eating. But the service was really bad. It was clear they treated "foreigners" with extra care while others are brushed off... if you know what I mean. Our server wasn't very kind, just showed up and asked what we wanted, didn't come around after food all while he was attentive to other tables (took forever to flag him down for the bill) barely gave any thanks. We overheard him give a lavish and detailed description of "today's special" on food and drinks and we thought wow, would have been nice to hear that instead of "what do you guys want?" as a starter...

The restaurant is beautiful and service was great. The chicken was undercooked and lacked flavor. Quite disappointed . Vegetables were amazing both cooked and in salad.

Everything was very well done. From the view ambience food and service. It was so good we went back the next night and it was just as great. I would recommend it to everyone. Don’t be surly by the drive in, it was more than worth it.

We have dined at both Acre and Flora Farms several times before visiting here and this was on par or better!

Do not use Open Table to book a reservation with this restaurant. They don’t manage their table availability against OpenTable reservations times. We had to wait over 1 hour and 30 minutes past our reservation time until we were seated. Yet when I checked the Open Table app, it showed available reservations for our party size during that whole time period. The staff was apologetic, yet service was incredibly slow and unorganized which explains why tables were not turned over in a timely manner. It took 15 minutes to get our own check. Our dinner itself was excellent, unique preparation and flavors. But not a great dining experience for the price and hype. Flora Farms, the neighboring Farm to Table restaurant, offered a phenomenal dining experience where the food, presentation, AND service was in line with expectations and the price point.

Lovely food. Not the best I’ve had in Mexico, especially given the price point, but the atmosphere and parts of the meal made up for the places that were lacking. The pork shank and ceviche were a B, all others were fantastic.

Beautiful place in a remote location. The drive there is a little off the beaten path, but well-worth it. Great farm to table food with a view overlooking the gardens. Really good mezcal cocktails. The service was excellent. Highly recommended!

Food was a bit mediocre. Shrimp from the shrimp tacos didn’t taste very fresh, catch of the day was not cooked well enough and felt rubbery, maybe better cooked wouldn’t have been an issue but this way we couldn’t just break it with a fork, we left half of it. Octopus tasted cooked not grilled. Same menu as all these types of “farm to table” places. Same prices too.

Incredible farm to table dining experience! Thoroughly enjoyed our table overlooking the gardens. While enjoying the refreshing signature Mezcal margarita, we shared the Coconut Grouper Ceviche which was outstanding- fresh & flavorful! We then had
the tasty Pasta El Pado with pesto & shrimp as well as the vegetarian Baked Cauliflower with Sikil P’ak. Filling & tender.

It was fun watching one of the employees running back-and-forth from the garden with fresh herbs and lettuces which we knew the dining guests must be enjoying.

Can’t wait to go back!
