My 2 ex workmates and I get together every few months for a catch up. We always book the Lot as it offers good food and service at a reasonable price. Being able to complete the booking on open table is also a big plus.

Great restaurant, been here before and not been disappointed. Had the charcuterie platter, which was plentiful and very good followed by the home made cheesecake which was outstanding. Lovely rioja to go with.

Unfortunately after a really lovely evening the bill arrived and we had been overcharged for a more expensive white wine and for the rose!One of the friends said this had happened before so make sure you check your bill!

Second time I have visited this place and on both occasions I could not fault the excellent service. Staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. I was meeting an old friend for a catch-up so were were there for a few hours but did not feel we were rushed. Would definitely go back again.

My husband, Chris, has tested Prawn Linguini recipes across the country and still returns to LOT Shenfield as the best! We came to celebrate his 81st birthday yesterday. The food was as good as ever and we didn’t mind it being a bit crowded because it means business is good! Thank you!

Nice varied menu, good food and service. Friendly staff. Full up and very noisy, but it created a good atmosphere. I was pleased to see them busy! So many places I have eaten recently have only had two or three tables occupied, therefore cold and no ambience.

Always enjoy meeting up with friends here. As ever the food was good - especially the cheesecake dessert. Service was brilliant as we were looked after by many staff members as well as our own waitress. Was pleased to learn that even if you pay by card the staff get the tips. This is not the case everywhere. Noise level was quite high but only because it was a really busy lunchtime and everyone was enjoying themselves.
