   We’re in town for our honeymoon & opted not to book anything in advance so we could have a more relaxed go with the flow time here. Found Lovina while browsing options same day, and their menu has a large amount of gluten free options, which is awesome as someone with an allergy. They also cater well toward vegans, but don’t worry there are meaty foods too. Overall, the menu itself is very diverse while also being wholly inclusive. They do not currently have a full liquor license, so ‘cocktails’ are made with wine. The outdoor patios are lovely, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. My spouse and I talked about returning here on a future anniversary.

   We went for our 24th Wedding Anniversary, hard to find a good restaurant that caters regular carnivores and vegans. Had the Impossible Sausage Lasagna and it was excellent, first vegan entree that had a hearty flavor. My spouse had the Ceviche and the Strawberry Salad both were great. Will come back again!!

   Went to this restaurant for our 41st anniversary. They only had wine and beer but I had two blood orange margaritas that were excellent. My husband had the Bolgunese and I had the roasted Mary’s half chicken. Both were good I wanted some dessert so the waitress, America, suggested just one scoop of ice cream with chocolate and nuts. It was perfect. Nice atmosphere.

   Better than it looks. From the outside, it looks like a converted house but it turned out to be an upscale restaurant. The menu is very limited. I had the Cioppino and my wife had the Sea Scallop Risotto. Both were very good but a bit expensive. Since we live in Napa we will be back.

    Little Gem salad was delish but otherwise food was bland, (bolognese dry and flavorless - def not spicy as advertised; cioppino recommended by server for its fennel flavor just tasted like Old Bay seasoning salt) service was disorganized.

    Little Gem Salad was excellent as usual but the BLT had mushy tomato slices, one big lump of avocado instead of slices throughout, and bacon was overcooked.

    Much more limited menu than on previous visits. Understaffed with inexperienced servers. Many small requests forgotten. Hopefully things will improve as staffing issues are resolved.

    Food was great. Has beautiful patios and great location within downtown. My only “complaint” was the heater situation upstairs. We sat upstairs on the porch, and the temperature was about 63-65 degrees outside. The intensity of the heater though was super high and uncomfortable to the point where multiple couples around us complained to staff. Our waitress seemed reluctant to turn the heater off, but the restaurant really needs to remedy that element because it took away from the dinner and ambience. If we go back we’ll request to sit anywhere else

    I have watched this restaurant improve from very good to excellent over the years. New appetizer "BEET TARARE" is wonderful. The polenta bites are never to be missed. Cioppino is spectacular. Service is always with a smile as well.

    Went here for my birthday and it was amazing! The food was so delicious, I had the scallop risotto and it was unbelievable. Husband has celiac and they have so many great gluten-free options. We go here every time we are in Calistoga. It can’t be missed!

    Lovely dinner outside on a lovely evening. Peak Northern California dining experience: wonderful setting; great, fresh ingredients; friendly service; wonderful wine; delicious, thoughtfully-prepared food with plenty for eaters of all persuasions. We were bowled over by the gluten-free, vegan wild mushroom lasagna. Just wow. Roasted beet tartar also a winner to both look at & eat. Only minor gripe was strawberry/arugula salad, which was over-dressed. Would definitely come back.

    We enjoyed our first time here. We weren’t hungry enough for appetizers, but entrees were very good. I had risotto with grilled scallops ( 3 ), he had small ribeye cooked perfectly with gooey white cheddar/ goat Mac & cheese. Cosy, comfortable ambiance inside & patio, service friendly & attentive including manager stopping to check on us. My only quibble is charging $6 for bread- 8 half slices & butter, albeit tasty with a sprinkle of black salt. I know more places are beginning to charge for bread & butter in the US & Europe ( my Ukrainian born husband thought charging for bread was a sin ), but when paying $45+ for our entrees, I think 2-4 slices of bread should be complimentary. Ok to charge for seconds. Tip: Lot in back has a handful of spaces. There is some street parking. If staying in a Calistoga hotel during a busy season. consider taking the free door to door, call on demand Calistoga shuttle. Then you don’t have to worry about parking or having a designated driver.

    Very nice service, very casual for the price. Staff in jeans and tees. Beautiful patio. We were there to celebrate a birthday which was on the reservation but not acknowledged ( not a big deal but nice to at least say something!) Shared the strawberry arugula salad (get!). husband has the 6 oz steak -nice medium portions, he was just full after cleaning the plate, and I had the lasagna (gluten free + vegan) which was huge. Would have rather a smaller less expensive portion (most everyone there is a visitor with maybe a hotel fridge - I took leftovers but they just went to waste as a cold greasy mess the next day) Definitely a splurge. High quality food for sure but 1 salad, 2 entrees, 1 beer and 1 cocktail was just under 200 w/ tip, just be prepared.

    We went last minute to a late dinner and it was amazing! We had the steak,scallops and bolognese! The flavors were amazing! We didn’t have one complaint! Highly recommend and it is going to be one of our go to spots now!

    We were in a quiet room upstairs. Great vegan lasagna, vegan gourmet beet appetizer and great vegan cheese cake! Highly recommend for vegan and non vegan diners. A real find!

    Diverse, thoughtful wine list. Small but interesting menu, dishes well prepared. Recognition of noise problem (ceiling baffles) but still hard to hear when tables are full. Go early if you want to converse, or perhaps late? Service friendly, efficient.

    Staff and owner present and friendly. One waiter covering all tables inside. So service not as attentive as required although polite and capable. Menu is limited-a few pastas, steak, and one fish. We opted for scallop risotto, which was more like rice than risotto, although scallops were delicious. Veggies were nicely crisp. Ceviche was ok and the polenta/truffle appetizer was awful-small papery cubes and a tasteless sauce. The ambiance inside was lackluster. The patio was more inviting but booked. So if you want to sit outside say so when you reserve

    Food was excellent. We both got the spicey bolegnese and some sourdough bread to start. Sat outside which was lovely. Only downside was that it was much too quick. But we didn’t order drinks which surely shortened the time.

    The patio setting is lovely. The food food was good, but nothing exceptional. Considering the prices they charge you would expect to have a dining experience. However, we were in and out in 45 minutes. We shared a salad for a starter and we’re not offered any bread. We also shared a couple of entrees and we each had a wine flight as well.

    Very overpriced food! The food was good but each entrée should have been about half the price that it was. Wait staff was very nice. Definitely need more items on the menu and a piece of lasagna should cost 15 bucks, not $40+!!!!!
