   We were there for Luke’s famous burgers. They sat us in the back so that we could see the kitchen. My wife witnessed a cook repeatedly licking his fingers. He finally put on a glove after we spoke with the manager. Our server was subpar at best. She couldn’t remember simple requests, thus prolonging our meal. To say that we were disappointed Is an understatement. The manager was very professional in addressing our concerns.

   Fantastic experience —amazing service, great food and drinks! We were able to get seated early and had the best waitress! Try the recommended cocktails and don’t forget to ask for to go drinks!

   We arrived on time at 6:45 reservation. We were not seated until TWENTY MINUTES LATER even though there were numerous empty tables. We pointed this out to the reception staff numerous times, but we’re still kept standing in the cold entrance area twenty minutes. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

   Too much food, but it was all so delicious. The onion tart was wonderful, but large for a 2 person appetizer. The pork schnitzel was two large piece of pork and the squid ink pasta was plentiful with shrimp and crawfish. All of it was tremendous, but we couldn’t eat it all. I hated wasting it and wished we could have taken it back to our hotel. We will definitely visit again (with an emptier stomach!) next time we’re in NOLA.

   I’ve been here 4-5 times. Worst experience tonight I’m sorry to say. Sent the oysters back, poorly prepped with no liquor in them. I don’t know if I’ll go back. It’s a shame as it’s been a regular stop for me when I’m in NOLA previously.

    This place was a great stop for breakfast! Service was quick, and food was delicious! The grits and sausage were a favorite, and the biscuits were the best ones I’ve ever had! The portions are big as well, so definitely worth a stop!

    The experience was terrible. Waiter didn’t care about us, sending meals in a random order , still pieces of shell in the oysters Very disappointed and will definitely never go back

    Out of 5 of us, only 1 enjoyed her meal. The best part of dining at Luke was the convenience of walking across the street to eat after a long drive day. It was extremely noisy, the food for 4 of us mediocre, the service quite removed from us as patrons. We did not get the value out of the over $160 we spent there.

    Make your reservation on or after 10am and do the brunch menu - specifically for the cinnamon roll. Also, the Bourbon Milk Punch is the BEST!

    A disappointing re-visit to Luke. For an 8:30 reservation, service was rushed, with a very clear motivation to get us out as soon as possible. Our main courses came out too quickly after our appetizers. We sent them back, then they returned over-heated and dried out.

    Stopped by for happy hour and an early dinner on Friday! Smoked trout dip was awesome, as were the fried oysters! Drink specials were fantastic! We also had the Lenten Friday fish fry-we split between us and it was really the perfect amount! We finished dinner with the tartlet! Service was excellent all around!

    I ordered the jumbo shrimp and grits - delicious! But the tails were still on the shrimp; it was very messy trying to get off the tails with grits and cheese on them. Take off the tails-that's just lazy kitchen prep.

    I picked Luke based on number of reviews and being 4.5 stars. It was fantastic. I had the seafood gumbo and the shrimp and grits while other got red beans and rice, cheeseburger and BBQ oysters. Best shrimp and grits Ive had in a long time. The portion size is on the large side. I highly recommend going to Luke.

    We went to Luke after searching for restaurants on OpenTable- we are from out of town. What an enjoyable experience to end our time in NOLa! We served by two nice gentlemen (we can't remember their names), and another nice man brought out our food. They were all so friendly and one gave great recommendations for the raw oysters. The food came out so fast, it's almost like they knew what we were going to order. Overall a great experience, I would recommend!

    I tend to moderate my expectations of hotel restaurants, but Luke far exceeded those reservations! First, a couple tips: (1) if you can be seated before 6pm, drinks are half-price for Happy Hour, (2) request seating away from the bar...it gets really loud in the first dining space because of the acoustics, and (3) if you order the Flammenkuchen to share be warned...it's bigger than you expect and VERY filling. Honestly, I think there's a pound of melted Emmenthaler cheese on it! We ordered the "Moules et Frites" (mussels and fries) and the Steak Frites; both were delicious and worth every penny. The Frites are seasoned with something I couldn't quite identify, but it is addictive. We'll return next time we're in The Big Easy.

    Have been going to Luke's for years. We have told so many people about them. Everytime we come into town Luke's is a must. The Shrimp and Grits are usually delicious. Today they were so cheesy. The spices were off and where were the grits?

    Luke is good — but I don’t think it’s great. As someone who can’t eat gluten (but loves food) I really struggled to figure out what I could enjoy. The kitchen doesn’t allow for substitutions (like no fried onions on the Diver Scallop Crudo or no breadcrumbs on the BBQ oysters) which I feel like could be a really easy way to make their menu more inclusive. I ended up ordering a few oysters, the tuna app from the raw bar (the shrimp chips are made with tapioca starch), and the Brussel sprouts. The service was very attentive and the host graciously moved my reservation to an earlier time slot when I called in — so I really appreciated that!

    Luke is always consistent and had 2 business meals scheduled both on for dinner and one for lunch during business travel. Food is wonderful and service always spot on! Portion size will not leave you hungry and usually with leftovers !! Ha ! Shrimp and grits are always a favorite along with the burger and of course oysters. Fried chicken biscuit for breakfast will surprise you with the size for sure !! So good and close enough to the convention center for a mile walk to have lunch if you are attending a meeting. Highly recommend!

    I am a regular at Luke and I love this place, but lately the staff seem to be less warm and friendly. I don’t know if it is new management or what, but it is disappointing. I’m going to start looking for other places where I feel more welcome.

    We stumbled across Luke and decided to give it a try. It didn’t disappoint. My husband started with the LA oysters which were fresh and delicious. We had the brussel sprouts which I would go back for every day of the week. By far the best I’ve ever had. Our waiter Jackson suggested the red beans and rice with fried chicken. It was absolutely out of this world. Serve was spectacular and the drinks top notch. Do yourself a favor and stop here on your next visit
