The restaurant looks beautiful when you walk in. We were seated promptly. That was good. The table was made to sit 2, but we were a party of 4, so a little cramped. The appetizers tasted good, but the portion sizes were criminally small. The drums were creative, but I question how much actual alcohol was in any of them. Mediocre flavor at best. The servers and bidders were professional and nice, but the rest of the food was just ok. It was also very loud in the restaurant. Not the vibe we were looking for. Overall, we were all disappointed and I was a little mad when the bill came and I realized how much I had just spent on an ok meal. They market well. We really wanted to like it, and I think I could have enjoyed the vibe if it wasn’t so incredibly overpriced for what you received. We will not be back.

First, the positive. The table side flower service was amazing. I've never had a florist take time to explain everything. It was a fun gift for the birthday girl. The florist was EXCELLENT. The steak was perfect. The mushrooms, incredible. The drinks were also fun, and we appreciated the fanciful mocktails too. Now, the bad. We had a reservation for a birthday dinner and were seated 30 min late. They must be under-staffed because wow. We ended up being in the restaurant for a whopping 2 hours and 45 minutes. During that time, we saw our server maybe twice? It was like our table was invisible. They dropped off our drinks, no napkins. One spilled on the table and me, and there was nobody to ask for napkins. I got up to stop someone running by the table. When our food arrived after an hour, the cacio e pepe was cold and watery and the worst I've ever tasted. Unfortunately, we couldn't get the attention of anyone because literally nobody came anywhere near our table. The birthday girl was too uncomfortable at that point to do anything about her inedible dish so I GOT UP AND WENT TO FIND SOMEONE. I grabbed the first worker I saw and asked who could help us. They replaced her dish with something different, but by that time everyone else was finished. It took 2 hours for the flower cart to finally serve us, when we were already done eating. Thank god the florist was awesome. I paid for 2 bouquets plus a generous tip because she was the highlight. Unfortunately, our meal was over $500. I'm ok with paying those numbers but only if it's worth it for the experience; good service, we'll-executed food. For our experience, that price was nauseating. I wish we had picked any number of Chicago's fine dining options. RPM seafood is my go-to because they are consistent. We will not be back at Machine; it doesn't compare.

Made a last second reservation to celebrate my wife's birthday. She loved every moment of it. The food was good. The cool drinks were exciting and daring. She never stopped smiling. Thank you!!! However, finding parking in that neighborhood, on a Friday night... is an adventure.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Machine Engineered Dining in Chicago for brunch, and it was an exceptional experience. In fact, one of the adults was so enamored by the idea that she couldn't resist getting one herself, adding a charming and whimsical touch to the dining experience. The decor of Machine Engineered Dining is nothing short of beautiful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. It's a place where attention to detail shines through. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu offered a diverse range of options, and each dish we ordered was a delightful surprise. However, the standout favorite at our table was the Pork Belly Benedict. The perfectly cooked pork belly paired with the velvety hollandaise sauce (my husband says it's the best he's ever had) created a harmonious blend of flavors that left us craving for more. Overall, Machine Engineered Dining provides not only exceptional food but also an enchanting ambiance and superb service. It's a place where every member of your party can find something to love, whether it's the creative dishes, the charming flower crowns, or the beautiful decor. A brunch experience here is a delightful journey for the senses, and I highly recommend giving it a try. Dietary restrictions: My husband has a shellfish allergy which or server asked about before the food came. Although none of our items were shellfish, he suggested we shouldn't share a certain item because of the slight possibility of cross-contamination. We greatly appreciated the heads up. Kid-friendliness: We sat outside which allowed the kids (4 and 5 years old) in our group a little more freedom than inside. Our server was great with them.

Great service. Good food but pricey. Extraordinarily small and expensive cocktails. Like a 4 ounce pour with large displacement ice cubes. Giving them a 3 because it’s Wicker Park and not Randolph Street or River North in terms of value for price paid.

Super amazing ambience. Sexy atmosphere. Super thoughtful with the rose and flower bouquets definitely order the bouquet special. Food was delicious. Came for dinner. Ended up having to eat brunch but was not disappointing at all. Will return for the dinner experience. Get the side of the breakfast potatoes. They are amazing!

Me and 3 of my friends came in for a late dinner and had a blast. We shared our food more family style and shared both appetizers and desserts after we had a round of drinks. The customer service was impeccable and we loved the flower cart. We are definitely coming back.

I enjoyed the dinner. The chicken was delicious. Our reservation was for my birthday, so I was disappointed that the flower cart never made its way to us. I appreciated getting a call a day or two prior to our dinner checking in to see if we had any special requests. In person, it didn’t feel as special, but the physical restaurant is beautiful. The drinks are liquid poetry and the place is beautiful. We had an amazing experience in Wicker Park thanks to Machine. The fried chicken was simply delicious and their drink called, “Love is a Fog” is truly a treat. Highly recommended place for good vibes, great food and drinks.

We sat outside which was nice but the food wasn’t good and it was $160 for 2 people. The price does not justify the service, food or drink quality at all. My mushroom burger was barely cooked and inedible. I would pass on this place for sure!
