I guess we are still in the “it's hard to get good help” era. Also, about the value—I was really tempted to order the large beer (25% larger) for just 40% more money. In the end I decided against it.

This location has significantly declined in quality of food. Everyone in our party left displeased with the food. The cost to quality definitely is not reflective of expectations for this restaurant.

We had a great experience at Matchbox for my daughter’s 13th birthday! She and her friends were sitting separate from us, and their server, Carlos, was so friendly and helped make her feel special with a birthday treat. We had a different server who was as equally attentive and friendly. Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere were fabulous. We plan to be back!

We made reservations to come after seeing a movie at Angelika. We havent been to this location before nor have we been to a Matchbox in quite some time. This was utterly disappointing. The pizza had a negligible amount of cheese. And the chicken pasta dish the pasta was soooo undercooked it was inedible and the sauce was watery. Oh and did I mention it had NO seasoning whatsoever. Dont waste your time or money. Server was nice though. The only positive thing I have to say.

This place has gone downhill the last few times we have been here. Service: Waiter super friendly - that seems typical and a pro to dining here. Seating: Hostess seated us in the two worse tables in the restaurant (right next to carry out pickup counter, then moved us immediately next to a table with young kids) when restaurant was practically empty with multiple choices.. Then subsequently filled the table directly across from us with more young kids - as we stared at multiple open tables that could provide space across all of us - and literally ducked the children throwing silverware. Plus: the waiter was in our spacee when taking orders from the adjacent tables, and kids climbing in and out over us to get to their table. Atmosphere: slightly on the loud side, would have been tolerable if there weren't parents and our kids screaming at each other right on top of us. Onto the food: 1 used to get the salmon salad all the time. They changed it from approx 12 high-quality ingredients (plus 2 sauces) to just a few basic ingredients. My salmon came out burnt. No one cared. Someone rlse got the ginormous meatball - $6 upsell forpasta? Salmon Price up from $18 to $24. This used to be a neighborhood staple. We're gonna find another one

Service was awesome, but food was just so so. The red snapper had absolutely no seasoning and was very dry. The scallops were flavorful, but cooked a little too much. Ambiance was great (we sat outside on the front walk by the green space), but food could definitely have been better. I will definitely return, but only for pizza next time.

We managed to have an early reservation at Matchbox, thereby avoiding the usual high decibel levels when they are busy. My small fig and prosciutto pizza was quite good, but could have used one more minute in the oven, as the crust was a bit soggy in the center. My partner had hoped for the scallops, but was informed that they were out of those, who he opted for the shrimp and linguini. While quite tasty, it was with spaghetti and not linguini...This is a good neighborhood place to dine in Mosaic, and there is plenty of parking at the Target lot.

Love this cozy restaurant for lunch or dinner before the movies. Our go-to order is prosciutto and fig pizza with a side salad and vino. Liz is a great server -- friendly and eager to please. It's a gem!

Service was friendly and quick. Seated promptly in area we asked for so that we could view US women’s soccer game. They gladly put the channel on for us when the game started. Main waiter and servers who brought the food all made sure we had what we needed.

Server was decent but the food was horrible. Arancini’s were cold, salmon salad looked like the salmon was deep fried - it was super dry and gross. I didn’t even touch the salmon and the server just removed without asking if there was an issue. Was catching up with siblings so overall it was great for that and not ruined but I would not come back based on the food.

I cannot recommend Matchbox more. They always have great food and great service! My favorites are the matchbox meat pizza and the spinach artichoke dip. The mini burgers are also a lot of fun, but I passed on those this time around. Again, great food, great service. 10/10 recommend.

This place at this particular location has gone declined. Drinks came way too late, even though there were 4 guys behind the bar with nothing to do. The salad was forgotten, the shoe string onions were cold. The white clam pizza hardly had any clams nor tasted them. It seems that they don’t have good supervision /manager.

Made reservations for regular seating and got seated at high top at the bar area. Service wasn’t that great. Food was mediocre and drinks are horrible. Server hovered over us as we paid the bill - literally. Then swooped it up when we sighed the receipt. Very awkward.

I will start with the positives. The staff was very nice and welcoming. It was a really nice day so we sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. The meatball appetizer was good and so were the strawberry rosé margaritas. However, the negatives were enough for me to decide I will likely not be returning. To start, it took our waitress a while to come to the table. When she did, she stated she was overwhelmed in which she appeared to be. I don’t blame her for that but as I looked around, the other waiters didn’t appear to be so idk what that was about. She was so busy that she walked away a couple of times as if she got distracted before I was done talking. The empty plates she brought to the table had food residue as did one of the napkins which wrapped the utensils. Not to mention she only brought two sets of utensils when there were four people at the table. My friend asked for extra dressing which she never got and I was offered a side salad with my pasta dish but she failed to mention it was an extra $5. Had I known that, I wouldn’t have ordered it considering I didn’t even eat it. My friend said the bread was good. My pasta was mediocre. My niece ate her pizza but my other niece didn’t care for her cheeseburger sliders. This was around my third time trying out Matchbox restaurants. I think it’s safe to say I’ve given it enough tries.

The server was sweet but they also seemed to have a lot of tables. The person who brought our apps didn’t bring us any share plates. There were literally only 12 chips for the chips and dip. We ended up getting more from the server but again that took a while as they were serving 5 tables outside and it seemed like another few inside.

This is a chain, and we have been to one closer to our house once before Covid and the food was very good but prices seemed steep. Our experience at the Merrifield location was disappointing not only because the food wasn't very good, but neither were the signature drinks like a brunch Bloody Mary. The waitress was nice but we were a party of 5 and 4 people were eating for 15 minutes because the 5th meal wasn't wrung up by the waitress. She admitted her mistake and they gave us that meal on the house, but overall it was a disappointing experience and we won't be going back.
