    Wonderful experience. We weren’t aware that the restaurant is also a cooking lab. Looked like fun, but I prefer to have someone cook my food. My dinner mates raved about the bolognese they had. My picky husband loved his meatballs. And my puttanesca was perfect.

    Was exited to go to this restaurant but table was t ready for our booking and had to be put together when we arrived. There was a single waitress for entire restaurant and she didn’t cope so well. Had to request items multiple times. Food was average at best. Small portions- which in an Italian restaurant was quite unexpected. Menu is very small. They do cooking classes while dinner is being served and you can eat what you make. Bit distracting but interesting concept anyway. I ordered spaghetti arriibiata which just tasted like the added way too much chili flakes to red sauce and a serving of spaghetti that would fit inside the palm of my hand. We skipped dessert.

    Love it! I used to go to this place when it was downtown. Food is absolutely fantastic. Everything on the menu is worth ordering. Finally made it to their new location in Hillcrest. Will be coming back! It’s on my/our permanent date night places :)

    They weren't set up to actually host customers dining in. It was clear when it took over 2 hours for us to get simple pasta dishes. Should probably just stick to the classes on certain nights and actual dinner reservations when the kitchen can handle it. There was only two other tables besides us

    Love the concept - there was a pasta making class taking place when we arrived. The service was really friendly and the pasta was fantastic. The ambiance could be improved with better lighting. Would definitely recommend

    This restaurant recently opened in Hillcrest. It is a cooking school/restaurant.. very fun and food is delicious. It is fun to watch the people making pizza while eating the freshly made (by the chef, not the students) pasta. We had two types of ravioli and both were very good. We did not know that it was BYOB, but there is a liquor store next door where we could pick up a bottle of wine. We will definitely be back.

    We had Foccacio bread appetizer and Pasta Ravioli (laid out in a dish nice presentation but it was just pasta) else and my partner had Speghetti and we paid $60 which we thought was way too high. Will not return. We wish them well though.

We try to provide the best price for the quality of food that we want to serve. We import ingredients from Europe to get the best flavor and grow our own vegetables to have it always fresh. We prepare every dish at the moment, refusing to freeze or store the food to preserve the quality. We appreciate your feedback and we're glad you enjoyed your food

    Everything was great! There is a warm and inviting atmosphere and the decor is very comfortable. The service was attentive but not rushed. It feels like going to a friend’s home for dinner. The salad starter was excellent and very fresh. The fresh pasta dishes we had for dinner were simply amazing! Definitely the best Carbonara in the western United States. For dessert, fresh made pasticciotto were to die for. We can’t wait to go back.

    We enjoyed another wonderful meal at this simple, unpretentious place downtown. The location is quiet and unassuming like many of the best local eateries in Italy. The owner, Francesco, was our server. He is a friendly, delightful man from Verona, Italy. His wife, Lucia, is the chef and her creations are simply fabulous. They offer pasta, sauce, and dessert making courses which can be a lot of fun and offer opportunities for date night or even team building. We went for dinner. We started with the meatballs and mozzarella. The meatballs immediately bring to mind childhood Sundays a la casa della mia nonna! My wife had spaghetti alla Amatriciana and I had my usual, tagliatelle alla carbonara. Both were amazing. The pasta is fatto a casa-homemade daily and is the freshest you can get in San Diego. We shared the tiramisu for dessert. They don’t have a liquor license but don’t fret. Bring a bottle of wine and they will open it for you, free of charge. No corkage. During COVID they are also doing take away and delivery. Give them a try. You’ll be glad you did!🇮🇹

    Cute, small, authentic. Good service and amazing food. Highly recommend the ravioli with prosciutto and fresh pesto, it’s insanely good!! Very quiet and intimate, nice for a date. Also bring your own wine! So fun.

    Had a great time here with some friends. Fresh, hand-made pasta and a great experience with the owner. It is byob so if you’re looking to enjoy a drink with dinner, come prepared. Looking forward to coming back!

    If you are going for a make your own pasta night with a group it might be okay. However, if you are simply dining in don't plan on eating. We waited 2 hours and 45 minutes for our food and never received it. Appetizers came out after 1 hour and 45 minutes and we were told at that point they were "rushing out our entrees." Another hour later at 2 hours and 45 minutes since we sat down we told them we had enough and walked out.

    This was our first visit to this restaurant. We were celebrating my husbands birthday. I found it on passport dining website. The pasta was so good. My husband had the pesto ravioli. I had the fettuccini w cheese sauce. Both pastas were cooked perfectly. The flavor was delicious. We love the daft they don’t have a liquor license. You can bring your own favorite wine and not pay a cork fee. Unfortunately for the restaurant, it was empty. For us it was perfectly quiet. Once more people try this restaurant, they will get busy. I hope so so they can stay in business. They also offer pasta making classes. We plan on taking one in the future My only negative is that the prices are high for pasta.

    Italian food like your Mother would cook (if your Mother was Italian). Everything is made in-house and is excellent. Melt-in-your-mouth pasta, creamy ravolli filling, massive salads and exquesite desserts. The absolute best Italian food I've ever had at very reasonable prices. A dining delight

    Delicious, authentic fresh pasta dishes. Highly recommend the ragu bolognese. The owner was very kind to us and happily welcomed young children. The kids enjoyed watching the pasta class that was taking place. They are BYO right now we love because we like to bring our own wine. Pasta is a bit expensive but worth it and makes sense given that it is handmade. Rare to find real Italian food like this.

    Good home-made pasta! Everyone in our party was happy with her pasta, but the service was a bit slow. Also, by the time everyone got her dish, some dishes were already cold. The restaurant is cozy and small, but our table close to the doorway in the back was drafty. Try to grab a table close to the windows.

    All four of our meals were very salty. It appeared that the waiter was also the chef and was giving a cooking class as the same time as our meal, so we didn't feel that we received good service. We are not even sure if it was an experienced cook that made our meal as he was not overseeing the preparation. It appeared they just put a lot of salt on the pasta sauce and meatballs.

On that night we had way more people than we expected and group arrived late making all the service really difficult. For you knowledge I'm not the chef, just the server. All your food was prepared in the kitchen and the chef, my wife, has more than 10 years of experience in this job. Salt is tricky and it is the reason because we don't even salt water for our pasta to not overdue for custmers,i'm sorry they were too salty for your taste

    The pasta here is fresh and perfectly prepared with delightful sauces in appropriate volume. Simply the best Carbonara in Southern California. This is authentic Italian food in San Diego!

    Francesco has created a gem. The place is handsome. The menu extensive. And the food delicious. One note: no wine is available (yet - in November, 2019). There is no charge for bringing your own, and suitable classes are supplied cheerfully.
