   Food and service both are amazing, one of the dish we ordered didn’t come out as it should be but our server and manager made up for it so that really is impressive customer service where restaurant owned up for their mistake without any questions. We ordered other food and it was really good. Will come back again and recommend others to visit. FYI this place is now better than Andaz ( another upscale Indian restaurant). Andaz is going down the hill since change of management and it is super expensive without quality and traditional Indian flavors whereas Mehfil is not as expensive, better quality of food and located in downtown

   Such a great new family style restaurant for Asheville. Service was phenomenal and the food was amazing. Atmosphere is modern and bright with the culture that is being shared. 1000% would recommend for the Indian food enthusiast!

   The hostess and waitstaff went out of their way to accommodate us. They clearly want you to enjoy your experience. Lots of menu choices and they always ask what spice level you’d like. Beer, would be, cocktails too.

   Mehfil sets a new standard for Indian food in Asheville. Although you can find their dishes elsewhere (not street food) their renditions are more flavorful than others I have tried. Service is quick so order apps first and then the mains when they arrive.

   Delicious. Tasty. Spicy. Beautifully presented. Wine special on Wednesday - bottle of rose for only a dollar more than a single glass! Server Raven did a great job. Will definitely be back.

   Our group had Chicken Badam Korma, Fish Badam Korma, Chicken Makhani, and Methi Malai Muttar. All were eagerly devoured! There does seem to be a bit of sugar added to the Makhani sauce, though. Although we were not prepared for that and would rather it have not been added, it was still delicious. All the breads are lovely, too!

    Great food and service. Less than thrilled that restaurant was too noisy for dinner conversation. (Maybe they don't want guests to stay too long?) Anyway, food was very good and merits a return visit.

    We normally eat Indian food at another popular Indian restaurant in town. However, of late the food didn't seem as good and they just seemed to have lost something during the pandemic. The service was very good and accommodating. It was nice that a co-owner Raj, came by and chatted with us for a little while. We had two appetizers, a cauliflower dish and chicken drumstick s from the wings. Both were good, but the drumsticks were very good. (Sorry but I don't remember the menu Indian names for any of the dishes). My wife had a chicken dinner and I had lamb. Both were very good. The bill for all was lower than we thought it would be. We obviously enjoyed our meal and will be back.

    When I found out that the original team behind Andaaz opened this new place, I was elated! The entire staff that made Andaaz so successful has seamlessly transitioned to Mehfil. Although it just opened, it is just as good if not better than I remember! The food, atmosphere and gracious staff make this a special place. So happy you all are back and we look forward to visiting often! If you are looking for delicious and authentic Indian cuisine, this is the best restaurant in Western North Carolina.

    My husband and I ordered a couple of vegetarian dishes and naan. It was all delicious. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, and the wait staff were efficient and and pleasant. Overall, it was a very nice dinner.

    This was a our first visit to this new restaurant in Asheville. To be honest we selected Mehfil because they could accommodate our party of seven on short notice on a Saturday evening in Asheville. The restaurant has only been open about three weeks. The service was great and the food delicious. We ordered several different meals and all were delicious. Our waitress was very helpful in suggesting appropriate spice levels for each of us. For a great Indian meal check out Mehfil. We will definitely be back.

    The bright interior and tall ceilings make this delightful downtown gem a find. If you like Indian food, you will like Mehfil. Lots of choices with vegetarian ones visible and plentiful. This will be a return for us when desiring some spice in our diet.

    Mehfil had been open 3 weeks when we visited and the wait staff was apologetic about slow service as they work out kinks. Candidly, we see didn’t find it slower than other post-pandemic understaffed dining experiences. Extensive menu; food was excellent and well-presented. Specially recommend the Tandoori fish tikka. Cocktails were good and strong. The one in our party who loves hot food thought the most spicy level wasn’t all that hot but maybe the kitchen went a little lighter on the spicy for our very WASPy party.

    My dad came to visit and we love Indian food. We heard that the staff left Andaaz and came here so we followed! We really enjoyed the food! It’s up there with India Garden. My only suggestions would be to dim the lighting! And it was quite cold. But the food was amazing.

    It was outstanding. We went for dinner and the food was really, really good. We have been waiting for an Indian restaurant like this to open in Asheville and it is just as good as we hoped. Can't wait to try the lunch buffet!
