   Food is deliclous, seafood very fresh. I would have liked to see my options on the menu, we went twice in a week and felt I have tried most dishes available. I would definitely like to see black rice for example. Over all we enjoyed our dinning experiece, however I didnt like the 12.5% service fee on top. Why cant you just show the exact prices on the menu, I dont mind paying more for dishes I like but I dont think 12.5% service fee is justified.

   Excellent food and wine and really very nice service. The main drawback is that it is noisy when people speak loudly, which was the case at the beginning of our meal.

   Food is consistently good at Mercado, every meal we have had at Mercado has always been delicious. Showcasing the best of Spanish produce its like a mini break to Spain!

   From the Spanish almonds and olives which tasted out of this world through to delicious Iberico pork and Cornish sea bass this was a perfect meal. Waiting staff were super smiley and efficient. Highly recommmended

   We had a fantastic evening and are so glad we stopped to look at the menu a couple of weeks earlier and decided to book after speaking to a member of the team. The food was excellent. Yes a little pricy but you get what you pay for, worth every penny. We’ll be back.

    Food was great. The evening was only spoiled by the automatic addition of 12.5% service. 10% would have been fine. Since when has 12.5% been the normal tip?

    We had lunch at the restaurant last Sunday and oh my goodness, it was fabulous. As soon as we entered we were welcomed, seated and the ordering and menu process explained fabulously. I would like to particularly to mention how attentive, friendly and professional the manager was and the Spanish waitress who served us. We asked for sone business cards to distribute to our friends as we would highly recommend it. I’m a pesqutarian and the selection was fantastic. We shall be returning very very soon.

    The food was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My only slight disappointment was the food was on the warm side rather than hot. The dining area was also on the chilly side. However this did not spoil our dining experience.

    Absolutely fantastic. We ordered 5 starters and a main and it was perfect. The blue cheese in particular was out of this world. Expensive but worth it. Up there with the best in London. The only reason I didn’t give it 100 percent is that the lights were a little bright

    The food and service were excellent. The restaurant is quite small so the tables are close together and the night we were there they had run out of fino. We would definitely go back though.

    Second visit to Mercado Central did not disappoint, still a wonderful experience. Food is flawless, so fresh. Service is of equal quality to the food. A treat for sure and I will be back.

    Mercado is a good restaurant selling high quality food but it is a bit expensive relative to the small portion sizes, but all round offers something different to other establishments in Cambridge. It was very noisy due to a table of six next to us, not great to watch middle-aged people getting hammered so early in the evening (I'm middle-aged too). That is not the restaurant's fault and I will return.

    Thank you for a wonderful meal, service was perfect and food was delicious, beautiful tomatoes salad and croquettes for starters with a couple of glasses of , then ribeye in a perfect mushroom and gravy and exquisite seafood risotto, broccoli and romanesco.. with a couple of glasses of Spanish wine.. beautiful location too for a night in Cambridge!

    We came for my husband's birthday and it didn't disappoint! The standouts were the prawn and squid rice, pork cheeks and basque cheesecake - all absolutely delicious, memorable dishes. Our waitress (who was from Galicia, sorry I can't remember her name!) couldn't have been more helpful and charming. We sat upstairs and there was a great buzz, really cosy, relaxing and unpretentious. The bill at the end was quite large, as anticipated, but we ate a lot and it was all clearly very lovingly prepared. The only thing I didn't love was the tortilla - I like mine nice and gooey in the middle but this was just plain uncooked, I had a plate of raw egg when I cut into it, it definitely needed longer in the pan. I've had better tortillas elsewhere. All in all though, it was a great evening and I wouldn't hesitate to go back!

    Went for lunch on New Year’s Eve for the 2nd time and really loved everything about Mercado. Even though they were closing up for the holidays we were not rushed at all. The service was excellent, friendly and professional; love going to a place where you feel the staff take pride and really enjoy their work. The food was fabulous, this will become a regular!
